Sara is PHENOMENAL! I gave her some crazy ideas combining elements of multiple different pictures and her design turned out even better than I could have imagined. The quality of her work is incomparable. Shes absolutely worth the drive from Lexington! All the staff and others there were extremely friendly and helpful.

I one million percent recommend them! I’ve had tons of piercings done but they by far are the most honest, straight forward place I’ve ever been. She spoke with me for 20 minutes about a new piercing I’ve never had done. I have dermals as well as tons of other piercings but I’ve never had an “Ashley” she took her time, was honest with me and I winded up getting the “Ashley” as well as another dermal. I love love love this place!

I always go here to get my piercings! This time that I went I got a dermal on my neck! The only reason I’m giving this place 4 stars is because my appt time was for 3pm and I didn’t end up getting seen till 3:45...other than that the piercer did a great job and I walked out a satisfied customer!

I am very particular about ink. Its a huge decision for me. Ive always had lots of people suggest Sara; quite a few friends who are wearing her art. I am now wearing her art and am so happy. I came in with my design, she executed it flawlessly. It was a difficult decision on whether I would use this design or something more basic. When she saw the design and got excited about it with me, it shows passion in her work. After completion, she is by far one of the best artists around here. All of her work looks great!The shop itself is always clean. The staff is super friendly. They treated us with respect and made us feel at home.Thanks to all of you!

First, after experiencing a tragic event, although they were very busy with limited staff due to COVID19 guidelines, they were very accommodating and were able to find a time slot to fit me in. The date was very significant to the experience of my first (and most likely only tattoo at 37 years old).Secondly, the shop is super clean and Brad was very welcoming when I came in to explain my apprehension and the need for someone super patient. Not only am I a wuss, but Im terrified of needles.Thirdly, Stewart NAILED IT! I spent hours designing exactly what I wanted to every detail. All single thing line work for the most part. He replicated it perfectly and his lines were as close to perfect as the human hand can get. He made me feel comfortable from the get go with his sarcasm and jokes. It was the experience I never thought Id have but exactly what I needed. I am not only very pleased with the tattoo but also the experience overall. If I were to ever get another one, Castle of Color and Steward absolutely will have my business.

Mike was great. Put me at ease and was done quickly. I enjoyed talking with him while getting my piercing. I wont go anywhere else now.

I have been coming here to get tattooed by Mikie King for years and I have to say, he takes your ideas and molds them todo exactly what you want! I will never go anywhere else!!!

I sent 2 emails to them trying to set up an appointment to talk about my tattoo design I want. They never contacted me back and the guy on the phone said just to keep emailing them.

This place is fantastic! Super nice people, very clean and nice pricing. I was super impressed. One of my roommates got her first tattoo here, the artist was amazing, did exactly what she asked and it healed perfectly. Another got her belly button pierced and she loves it. I went back two weeks later (originally on a day they didnt have a piercer so I got $10 off which was amazing considering it was my fault I didnt look before going) and got two piercings and my experience was also amazing. He could tell I was nervous and was incredibly nice and explained every step. Super comfortable and welcoming environment and super fast. I 100% recommend Castle of Color for both tattoos and piercings.

I cant speak for the tattoos because I havent gotten one yet, but I wouldnt go anywhere else in town for piercings. Mikey does an incredible job and the shop is kept clean. I was really nervous about my first cartilage piercings but they didnt hurt at all. Ill definitely be back.

My first and second tattoo were both done here, 2007 & 2008. Both times the artist was extremely professional and detailed. If I needed a break they allowed one and made me feel very comfortable and important. Castle of color is amazing and if you’re not sure what kind of tattoos you want or the right placing for them the staff will guide you and help you along. Very impressed and recommend them for years now.

Castle of Color is my “ go to” shop for piercings and tatts. Always friendly and helpful. I’ve gotten 5 out of 7 tattoos and 3 piercings at Castle of Color. Recently “ Walter” has done my husbands and mine tattoo’s and they are brilliant! Awesome detail and just beautiful art! I would recommend my friends and family to get their body art there!

Great place! Everything was very clean and well lit when we came in. I was able to walk in and get a nose piercing all in about 30 minutes. Staff was nice and helpful and my piercer was very fast and explained everything to me, barely hurt at all. Prices are good too.

Fun environment!! I went late on a Friday and they had music going, they were busy, (which is good) and offered very fast service! I had a nose piercing done and it didnt hurt at all... literally, not even a little bit. This is because the staff knows what they are doing! With the piercing, the jewelry and aftercare is included in the price!

Im only 15 so my mom called them and asked them what all I needed to get my piercing and they answered both times and were sure sweet! So I went and got my bottom lip pierced and the girl I got was amazing! She was so sweet, she couldnt get the ball on my lip ring at first and she kept checking on me to make sure I was okay! Super sweet and also a reasonable price! Im going back Sunday to get my nose pierced!

I got a nose piercing and a small wrist tattoo in the same day. I believe Sarah was the name of my piercer, she was awesome and gave me everything I needed for the healing process, along with explaining them. I dont remember the name of the man who did my tattoo, but he had long brown hair, and had action figures of horror characters in his room. He did just fine on my tattoo, but when he was finished, he handed me the cream and walked out without saying anything. I had to get his attention to ask how often I wash it. He didnt give me any information on the healing process, I basically left with no idea of how to care for my tattoo. Luckily I have 2 others so I had some idea of what to do, but it was rude and I didnt appreciate it. I would happily return for another piercing, but never again for my tattoo.

I have newer Daith piercings and one of the retainers I needed for an MRI came out. I couldnt risk letting it close back up. Even though their piercer was in the middle of a tattoo she worked me in on a break. Professional and clean.Thanks so much!

They were made perfectly aware that I was coming from 45 min away didn’t have the curtesy to tell me it would be 2 hour wait. And would not listen to what I wanted in a tattoo.

Nervous about the outcome but Stewart did an amazing job. Today is May13th and Im changing my rating. Simply because today I call to see if my guy Stewart had a time he could get me in to finish my tattoo. Girl that took my call said looks like around 6. So I asked if I could lock that time in. She said no same day appointments that I could come in. So I do so but when I get there at 6 she tells me that it will be a while longer that someone had come in before me. Ok?? She offered to take my name and number and would call when something opened up. Now Im confused??? Why did she not do that when I call instead of having me drive 30 min out there for nothing. Poor service. Dont think I will be back!

Horrible place. Good luck having anyone call you back. Customer service is horrible. My first sketches were never completed, I had to stop in to see them. Waited in the front for half an hour while the sketches looked like they had just been done. Before coming back the following week to review completed sketches, I called to confirm. No one called me back after promising to return my call. Called a total of 5 times to check status before driving 1.5 hours. No one returned my calls, and I spoke to a real person.If you have an important tattoo, like comemorating your daughters memory, I would seriously consider going somewhere else.One of the artists hit my car, and they gave me a gift card. Now that I canceled my appointment they wont let me transfer the gift card to someone else. Said they had 5 or 6 hours in sketches. The only sketches Ive seen looked like they were done in 5 minutes.Now Im stuck with a scratched car, a useless gift card, and no tattoo. And Ive had to deal with rude people like Katie.

They have done 11 out of my 12 tattoos including a half sleeve. Also have gotten 6 piercings done with them. Im happy with everything I have gotten done and will continue to be a repeat customer.

I called a week In advance to get my tongue pierced and asked if a piercer would be on duty that day . The guy on the phone said yes well I go in today and they said that there are no piercers in today. I am displeased as it is my birthday and now I cant even get it done . Never had a problem before mike is always nice and so is the girl with black hair but Im kinda upset I dont get my tongue pierced for my birthday ....
