I really wish I had a good experience with Safelite but it was pretty painful almost the entire time.My car was recently broken into and some a**hole broke one of my windows and shattered it completely. I quickly checked with a handful of local repair shops to see what the cost would be on a window repair and Safelite was the only one to get me a quote quickly. However, while the speed of this was nice, the price was not. Nearly $400 for one car door window.I dropped my car off at the shop early in the morning and went about with my day. Got a message around 3:30 saying they started repairs and a call about an hour later saying it was done. The technician over the phone was very nice and asked if Id be able to make it before they closed at 5. I told them probably not, and while I had a relative that lived pretty close by, I didnt think theyd make it either. The technician proposed they could leave my keys in a hidden spot in the car and I would be able to get it after hours. I agreed and ended the call.I got to the store later that night to find my car completely locked. However, the suggested area that couldve had the keys did look different so I decided if the cost wasnt too bad, Id gamble having someone come out to unlock my car. I waited for a locksmith to come out and spent $40 just to find out they never left the keys in any spot of the car like I was told.The next day I came in during business hours, got the keys, and hoped this would be the end of it. Unfortunately, it got worse. About two days later I had decided to roll my main window down since it was beautiful outside, and figured Id test the window that was repaired and make sure it was working properly. It rolls down about ¼ of the way and then I hear an awful metal noise. I tried to roll it back up, but instead of the glass coming up, I still hear more noises and a giant metal mechanism came up instead in between the door and the glass. There should be a picture showing what it looked like. I sped over to the store and got there about 20-30 minutes before closing. The technicians were actually very nice and understanding, and got to work on my car right away and got the glass reinstalled.As of now, it does work perfectly and my experience with most of the technicians was pretty good, but after the cost of it all including the unnecessary locksmith, and it not even working properly after repair, I cant recommend these guys to anyone.

Josh was awesome. I just wish I had his last name to give proper credit to him. He called a couple times to let me know hes on his way, then again to let me know he arrived. Same day service and he was done inside of a half hour. Couldnt be more pleased with his work/professionalism/friendliness. Thanks so much!

Aaron replaced my windshield and possibly corrected a long time issue with my rain sensor! He noticed a missing pad! Go figure! I have been dealing with my rain sensor issue for over a year! Now I can’t wait for it to rain to try it out!Either way, great customer service, kind technicians.

Took my 2020 Tacoma to the Nixa location this morning for a cracked windshield. I was very impressed. The place is like a well oiled machine. The building was clean and the staff friendly. Took about one hour for windshield and calibration of sensors. Aaron met me at the truck and walked to me in the waiting room when job was done. Checked me out with the insurance deductible on a handheld device. You can tell this is a professional service. Very pleased, will go there again if needed.

First I have to say that Safelite does a fantastic job but the reason Im giving one star is bc I feel that their customer service and ALL ways to even be in contact with them in done strictly online. You arent able to speak with anyone prior. I know that Im not the only person in this world that has had an emergency and a phone call is what is needed to assist not filling out an application online just to wait longer. I truly feel this method they use needs to be changed and more personable.

They got black sealant on my paint and the seal isnt fit properly. They said they would get it fixed and that was 3 weeks ago with no email or phone call attempted

Went to this place to fix a crack in my windshield. The technician came back and said it was not fixable because the crack was over 6 and wanted to sell me a 500.00 windshield instead. I got my tape measure out when I got home and the crack was only 4 this place is a joke!!! Im taking it elsewhere to have it repaired.

Not that I dislike their service, they are a good company but its irritating that you are pushed in to setting up your repair online. I like to speak to someone but thats not even a option. Have to setup a repair online only. So I called a competitor and actually got to talk to a person and got what I needed.

Had appointment for Monday between 8-12. Tech called saying appointment is between 11-1. He shows at 12:30 and doesnt have the right glass for my Jeep.I wasted more than half of a day and still no glass. Instead of 300 it will now be 800! No thank you. Wont try to use this company again!

Got my van front window replaced the day I needed it and they did it at my home and it took about an hour.

The crew at this location is great. My beef is with Safelite. Their web site needs some updating. Arranged for a windshield replacement through their site. The process did not ask the appropriate questions to properly define my vehicle. Long story short, when I showed for my appointment I was told that they had the wrong windshield. Again the web site process did not account for ADAS. This is the lane departure system installed in many vehicles these days. Anyway. Incorrect quote was for $286.00, plus my time not at work. Shop told me I would get a fresh quote and updated appointment. Boy..did I ever. New price was almost $500 for the windshield. AND $300 BUCKS FOR ADAS CALIBRATION. They sobered me up like the judge. I can have this done with OEM ford parts for considerably less. Shame on you Safelite for the bait and switch and reduculous pricing for this calibration, which btw, many argue does not even need to be done with just a windshield replacement. Additionally, unless the camera is bumped, removed, or damaged, OR the replacement windshield is of such quality that the camera vision is obscured by bad glass, calibration consists of hooking up a laptop and driving my car around for half an hour. Calibration is entirely dependant upon the CAR OR TRUCK finding the lines on the road.Lesson today folks. If you have lane departure on your car and you need a windshield replaced. Ask about it up front. Satellite wasted my time and lost a customer.

If I could rate no stars I would. I tried to have them replace my windshield but they didnt let that happen. I place a replacement order on for Monday. They said gave me a time frame and on the day of service I got an email confirmation that they would be here to fix it. 30 minutes after the time fram I was given i called and was told they never got my glass. The technician blamed the office the office blamed the technician for not telling me. Then they tried to schedule me 2 weeks out and that just wasnt acceptable. So they fitted me in on Saturday. Well Saturday came along and once again I was given an email but this time I got a call confirming they would be there. Well again 30 minutes after my time frame I called again and was told it would be another 3 hours. That wouldnt work because I had to be at work. I tried to have them replace it at my work and the technician said the price would increase. I canceled my appointment and will never use them again. My wife asked to set up an appointment a few days later and she would wait. I tried from my phone, her phone and the computer just to confirm my quote and the price magically jumped up $140. I strongly recommend no one does unless you have absolutely nothing going on in your life and can wait on them for an eternity to figure out how to do their job.

I took my Jeep in for a tailgate window replacement. They fixed the window no problem. When they got done they told me they could not get the tailgate to latch. I said it was working when I brought it in. Then the manager told me its not their problem its a Jeep problem. They taped the door shut and sent me on my way. DO NOT TAKE YOU CAR HERE TO BE FIXED!!!!!!! As stated in other reviews the manager is very rude. Broke Glass is still all over the carpet. My owners manual was laying on the front seat. My back floor mat was also on the backseat from them getting into the battery under the passenger seat. Im not done with them. Well see what happens.

Shady business. Used duct tape and damaged paint. Said theyd have their detailer take a look at the damage. Their detailer canceled on me 3 weeks in a row.

Had a technician come out last week to replace my windshield on my Astro via mobile. I’m happy with the new windshield however the technician drove my vehicle up the street to work under the shade of trees ( which is no big deal )to replace my windshield. The tech must have busted the old glass out because I came home to glass all over the interior of my vehicle including my seats, floor board and dash along with glass in the engine bay and on the ground at my neighbors where he was working at. I’ve since cleaned up the glass but couldn’t believe how careless he was and didn’t have the courtesy to clean up the mess he made. Again the new windshield looks great but I paid full price for half of the job being completed. I’d love to hear from you guys to see your side of the story. Thanks. Travis.

No one wants to use Safe lite because that means you probably broke something. That is where I found myself. I had a chip in my windshield that ended up meaning a replaced windshield.Jeff was a very knowledgeable and kind guy. He answered all of my questions. They were able to make sure I received all OEM product.Definitely made an unfortunate situation that much better.

I couldnt just leave my car when I need the windshield replaced, and they told me it might take 2 hrs to complete the work. But they had it done in 1.5 hrs.

I took my husbands car in to have the passenger window replaced. The staff nor the manager were overly friendly. After paying almost $200 we had to bring our car back because the window wasnt installed correctly. They also failed to hook up the power lock cord and the door lock mechanism. When the car was returned my husband was informed that the wrong type of window was put in the first time as well. I wouldnt suggest thiscompany to anyone!

I cant recomend.High prices. I went somewhere local and paid a third of what safelight quoted, before taxes. The guy that did my windshield even mentioned that the last people who worked on my vehicle had taken off a lot of paint when installing the previous windshield, and so my guy grinded off the accumulated rust and painted a primer over the underlying metal, free of charge. Amazingly enough, the last people who owned my vehicle went to Safelight for their windshield replacement. Interesting.

I got a rock chip on the highway coming home from work so as soon as I got home I was able to schedule my appointment online for the same day and they fixed it within 30 minutes! They did an amazing job!

Austin was great, very professional and repaired my windshield.

I called and set up an appointment to have two of our fleet vehicles windshields replaced. I provided all of the correct information to them about the vehicle make, model, and package, to get the correct glass and price quote. When the technician arrived he immediately said that they ordered the wrong glass for one of the trucks. He said that it needed a special glass that worked with the lane sensors and would require a reprogram of the lane sensors/computer. I was originally quoted $440 to replace the glass in that truck. The technician proceeded to replace the glass in the truck that he had the right glass for. During the installation I called Republic Ford and they said that if it needed to be reprogrammed that it would cost $108 and that they use Carstens glass in Springfield. I called them while I was waiting on the glass replacement Safelite and Carsens said that the glass that was required for lane sensors was actually cheaper than the non-lane sensor glass. They quoted me $266 for the correct lane sensor glass and said that the other non lane sensor glass would be $338 installed, keep in mind this was the glass that I was prepared to pay $440 for with Safelite. Carstens also said that they usually do not need to reprogram the lane sensors/computer as they carefully mark it and make sure that they position the sensors back in the same spot. He did say it may be required but most likely not. I also called A-1 auto glass and received a quote for $268 and it also included free chip repair for 1 year following the installation. I made sure that all of the quoted prices included the OEM glass to make sure that the price comparison was fair to Safelite. Once the Safelite technician completed the repair he went over the new price to install the correct glass in my truck. I was now quoted $490 for the glass and $250 to do the reprogramming. I was willing to pay a little more to use them since they are close to our office but I was amazed that they raised the price from $440 to $490 after they ordered the wrong glass and after two other top rated (4.6-4.8 stars on google) glass companies both said that the needed glass was cheaper than the glass that Safelite originally brought to install. On top of that they wanted to charge over twice what the dealer would charge to reprogram. I explained all of this to the technician and told him to go over this with his manager and that I was willing to pay a little more for their service but felt like the price quoted was too far out of line. However, I would not make the repair with another company for at least a week which would give them time to contact me if they could work on the price a little or explain to me why the price increased from the original agreement. Its been almost a week now and I have not been contacted to discuss this by a Safelite representative. Unfortunately, I would not recommend them.
