Ive bought a couple guns from here and know of a lot of people in Nixa that have. The store is super friendly and has a great family atmosphere. They make the buying process simple and very streamline. The gunsmith is very well educated about his profession. The only issue that makes this not 5 stars is the gunsmiths daughters that run the storefront lack some of the knowledge about their guns that I enjoy with some other gun stores. Overall I really enjoy going to this store. Highly recommend.

I took my Ruger Redhawk here to be cleaned and to fix a cylinder release that was sticking. I got it back with scratches near the cylinder release and missing a part of the cylinder. Gun-Tec claimed they didnt do anything and that the piece was already broken/ missing. The gunsmith personally inspected my gun before accepting possession of it and did not note any missing or broken piece. Gun-Tec then had to send the gun back to Ruger to be fixed properly. If you claim to be a gun Smith but dont know how to fix a gun yourself then you might want to rethink your career choice. If you do damage to the gun then own up to it and make it right. After waiting a few weeks and them scratching/ damaging my gun,and having Ruger fix there mistakes they still had the nerve to charge me for cleaning my gun. Save yourself the time and pain. Take it to a real Smith. Oh and the girl who runs the store front, do yourself a favor and dont talk about guns if you dont know what you are talking about. Better to be quiet then blurt out bs.

Where to begin? Took my firearm, (Sig Sauer 522) which the gunsmith couldnt identify as a 22lr. Not a big deal because it is made to look like an AR. He asked me what the problem was and I explained that the bolt has a common malfunction and Sig had a remedy for it but I am unable to find it online. So I took it to a professional . I heard nothing back for about 3 weeks when I was called and told it was fixed.Went to retrieve my firearm and was only charged $22 And some change. I figured he went online found the part (which is easy to install) and swapped it out. Took said firearm home and disassembled it only to find...... he oiled the mechanism and perhaps straightened the spring and nothing else. It is not fixed and I was charged for a little lube. I looked at receipt and found there was NO description of work. Why would he write, wasnt sure what to do so I oiled it kept it 3 weeks and charged you.?I took it to him because I heard his radio add on 104.1 and wanted to support people that believe the similarly. I will never go back and will not recommend GunTec.
