The Strip Joint actually saved my sanity. I was at a stand still on my bathroom facelift. My doors have a layer of latex over oil and were peeling so badly. Then I realized how many layers of paint their actually were and how this was way more scraping and stripping that I could handle. I debated buying new doors but that would be $100 plus. I took them to the strip joint and I could not be more happy. They are brand new and beautiful and were ready for me to paint after a quick sand. I will be taking all of my doors there to be stripped. They can take all my money and save me the headache.

We wanted our antique mantel refinished. However, there was no one here in the Tampa area that wanted the project. So, I picked up the phone and called The Strip Joint. Early 2000s, they striped and refinished my grandmothers bed and vanity table when I live in Virginia. Chase was willing to work with me on the turn around time. The 1800 miles road trip was worth it. The mantel is beautiful. Thank you Chase and The Strip Joint for another job well done.

Beautiful work on a family treasure!

We needed a mid-century modern Broyhill Brasilia bar cart refinished. The original finish on Brasilia has a history of being horrible, and ours was super worn out. We wanted it to look original or stripped and finished to accent the diverse wood types used throughout the piece. We spoke with the staff, and they were very understanding of what we were looking for.The Strip Joint nailed it. They did a perfect job of making the piece look like it was brand new within the era and also used a stain which, with a keen eye, you can see the differences in the wood.If you want mid-century furnished redone to look original to the period then the Strip Joint is where you need to go in Hampton Roads.

Have taken many doors in our home to be stripped that have multiple coats of oil-based paint on them. They always do quality work and are very friendly. Always come out of the shop to carry in whatever I have for them to strip.

They did awesome job. I will always come back in the future. They did my furnitures bedroom set matching all the same colors. I highest recommendation for anyone... Also they did brass polishes WOW. Its look new.

These guys did an amazing job on a keepsake piece of furniture that had belonged to my husbands mother when she was alive. They did it great justice!It was a solid mahogany secretary hutch desk that had a huge stain on the front of it as well as missing hardware. It was a three week turnaround. At first I thought it was a bit expensive to refinish it but once I saw the end result it was worth every penny!!

If I could give zero stars, I would. Owner, Mike, very rude and didnt seem to be interested in my business. First thing he said to me was that I couldnt have come at a more inconvenient time. Im right in the middle of spraying something. Wow, nice to meet you too! Right off the bat that was off-putting to me. I would never make a customer feel so unwelcome in my shop. Wasnt willing to give me samples of different colors to take home to see which stain went well with my remodel because he said he had been so busy the past couple months that he could only give me one. I asked him for a referral to another place. Do not want to spend close to a thousand dollars at a business when I am going to be treated like that. I will take my business elsewhere and advise you to as well. Absolutely no way to treat customers if you want to have a successful business.

The Strip Joint fixed a family heirloom for us. They worked hard to find replacement parts and when they couldn’t they made them. Our furniture is now as good as new and they did it all at an amazing price. Thank you so much!

Chase and his crew were professional and did a beautiful job of refinishing my 1930s era China cabinet. So pleased with the results..highly recommend this business. Very reasonable on pricing for thexwork as well as pick up and delivery....they said the cabinet would be ready in a couple weeks...they delivered it back exactly two weeks...they repaired the broken veneer and cleaned up the door and drawer pulls, and hinges.

Chase did an amazing job fixing our table after my lovely husband decided it was a great idea to use it as an ironing bird and, as a result, he left it with huge burn marks!!! The table looks now better than before the “incident” and I could not be more pleased with Chase’s work !!!! Also, very reasonably priced compared with other places we called. I highly recommend Chase to anyone needing furniure repair/restoration!
