Best place to buy Indian grocery and vegetables in Norfolk. Layouts are nice and grocery is displayed nicely. They have fresh vegetables and are priced fairly. Staff is also very helpful. We did lots of shopping of Indian grocery when my sons family moved to Norfolk. A must visit for every Indian for their food necessities !!

I started cooking Indian food, so I visited to stock up on spices. You can get 100 gram and 200 gram bag of common spices, including fenugreek, ajwain, cumin, coriander, etc. I hate buying normal sized spice containers now—I tell all my friends to buy spices here. I also have purchased mortars and pestles here.What I mostly use it for now, which is why it’s my weekly grocery store, is fresh produce and frozen foods. Fresh: cheap and fresh mint, cilantro, curry leaves, Indian peppers, and so many more commonly used fruits and veggies. Frozen: samosas, fruit, sprouted mung beans, okra, lotus root, etc.The staff is helpful. Some have limited English, so they will grab someone else to help, which is zero problem. They’ll recommend products, or tell you how to eat it (some desserts are better cold, while others are better warmed up). I’m always excited to make this trip and so glad it is close to me!!

Went here with my wife today looking for seaweed. Everyone said they didn’t have it but I’m sure they do. Honestly didn’t feel welcome here based on the looks and vibes we were getting. Most likely won’t come back here

Im visiting from Baltimore and was hoping to find an Indian Market comparable to what I have access to in my local area. This place exceeded my expectation. A very large selection of traditional Indian ingredients, flours, seasonings and just about anything else you would need. Everyone was friendly, the store is clean as I would expect and well stocked. Definitely adding this as one of my go tos when Im in the areas. Just awesome!

Great diverse products to select from in the store. Fresh stuff at most of the items. They introduce new items all the times. Newest one being Beeji Ka Panner. Panner in its fresh state, instead of frozen branded ones. Loved it guys, thank you.

The food is not all ways prepared well, old chicken wings mixed with fresh ones, Ive had grit in my lo-main and check your bag before you leave get home no eggroals..this is my last visit here. Still I went there, today I I go in to pick up an order and I asked to use the bath room and was told NO! I really need to use the bath room again No! No explanation. They have made it clear they have no regulars for their costumers give me your money, get out !

The varieties of tea (as a self made connoisseur) was the most appealing to me. Indian/Asian foods usually come withrobuat aromas. I say that to advise that nowhere in this place would you need to ask where an item is... Let your nose guide you.May sound corny but the lighting in here is great too. 🤷🏾‍♂️.Love that spice aisle too!!

This is one of the best Indian stores I have seen. It is so big and you can get almost everything you need. The staff was also friendly.

Everything you need for cooking Indian food or honestly any rice dish. There is at least 80 types of rice here to choose from and at a very cheap cost. 1/2 the price of Harris teeter!!

Great selection and excellent customer service. I walked up to a gentleman in the store and asked for his help to find something. He not only helped me find what I was looking for, but showed me a couple other items that would go well with what I was getting. Even gave preparation advice. Turns out he was the owner of the store. I appreciated his willingness to stop what he was doing and go above and beyond to help me.

Loved this place! Excellent prices, service and selection. Shelves were beautifully stocked and organized with well placed, easy to find prices. I do have to say it’s significantly more heavily Indian, rather than Asian items.

I love international food and learn how to cook it through my religious family, but when I shop there I feel unwanted and unease, like as if they dont want me their. When I spend my money in your establishment, I want to at least feel appreciate for coming in their store while I am spending my hard earning money!

BEWARE!!! They are keeping Expired products or products with overdue Best Before date on their shelf for sale.Also some of the products dont have the expiry or best before date.I request shop owners not to keep such products!!

This is a great market for Indian and Thai food. I may possibly go back when making those dishes to actually do traditional cooking.

It is best to come at lunch time on the dot. Because IT WILL GET CROWDED. The food is great. It has vegetarian options as well as meat options. The seating may be a little uncomfortable, but the friendly staff and food make up for it. The reason I gave 4 stars is because of the prices and waiting time. If you want a place to go to splurge, this is the place. Also, if you come early there wont be as many kids either😶

Lack of professionalism missing.I always go here with my kids and family but lately i found they have very substandard safety. found knife open next to onions this was the first time I saw I didn’t mention anything to employee or neither owner. Second time my 4 year daughter got in her hand. This time I mentioned to employee (long hair dude) and lady at the counter but seem like they don’t care. Very responsible!!!!

Great place if you are in need of indian or asian subcontinent produce. The only thing to watch out for are best before dates, I have found expired food products on sale at this store. Overall the experience is pleasant.

This place is amazing. The people there are very knowledgeable and helpful. They have a wide variety of foods and spices, and other exotic goods. A true gem in Norfolk. I go here to do alot of my shopping because spices are cheap and it is great option for someone who loves exploring different flavours and food. Plus as a vegan this store is truly heaven. They have so many meatless alternatives, frozen meatless meals, and plenty of unique ingredients such a chana flour (chickpea flour), huge jars of tahini and other common alternatives found in a lot of vegan recipes.Also did I mention the spices were crazy cheap!! A large variety of spices and rice at a very good price!

**BEWARE**For some expired products they are using modified labels with new expiry or manufactured dates. So it’s better to check every product before buying from them.Apart from this everything else is good.

Good place to find all the Pakistani. Indian and subcontinental stuff.

I buy a lot of foods that support diabetic friendly, low glycemic meals. Lots of things made from lentil or chick pea. Lentil flour & chickpea flour at better prices than you can find online. Barley flour is much cheaper than any other source, although in my case I grind my own. Also found a very inexpensive brand of loose black tea that is far better than anything Ive tried here at home. Indian cooking is a great way to do vegetarian and diabetic friendly, but is not easy to master, at least for me. This is the go to place for spices and ingredients.

A perfect place to find all the Indian spices, cooking oil and ghee, tea/chai, lentils, beans, basmati rice, flour, vegetables, MTR ready-mix packs, snacks, sweets/deserts, and anything one is looking for. Highly recommend.

This place has everything you could need for Desi dishes and snacks. You will just spent a long long time to find the item and you cant even hope to know the actual price of the item until you get to checkout. Theres barely any price marked for the items and the listed price on the shelf could be wrong. Also the opening time is too late, 10am thats closer to noon than morning. However there is no other choice available so I always shop here for desi items but not often because I live 30minutes away.

The biggest Indian store around Hampton roads area. Prices are reasonable. They have a small selection of cultural items. Good selection of exotic vegtables and fruits can be found here. No meat products though.
