I have been looking for a zero waste store in virginia for quite awhile now so I was very glad that this one recently opened. They have alot of products that I typically ever only see online so it was wonderful to shop in person. They sell glass amber bottles and mason jars of various sizes and have locally made soaps, refill stations for shampoo, conditioners, and even hand sanitizer! My favorite part was there is a section of the store where you can donate or pickup clean used glass bottles for free 😁😊. Very clean and organized store and I cant wait to come back.

Place had something that every store should have, refillable items. Even the laundry soap. Love that this is an option. Hope more people take advantage of this and help reduce waste.

I’ve come come into this location a few times. The owner is usually here and he is so friendly and answers any questions I have. As I very slowly but transition to no waste, I’m grateful we have a store in the area that has everything one could need.

Less than is amazing! We have saved so much money by shopping here and it feels great to make conscious choices to buy in bulk, package free, and recycled materials. We have always bought powdered laundry detergent but it felt like we needed to buy the big brands every couple of weeks. I filled up a giant jar of less than’s lavender laundry powder in December and I JUST ran out this week! That’s nearly six months of laundry and it cost less than $20! We have young kids so laundry is a daily occurrence and I’m so grateful to have found a cost-effective, eco-friendly choice at less than!!

Excellent customer service given today. Im in Denver, and was having a tech issue ordering from the website. I called the shop, they contacted the web developer, and the issue was corrected in a matter of minutes. Very helpful and friendly. I look forward to visiting the store in person when I come back to the area.

Lovely, clean shop with lots of great options for bulk and low waste items. The owner was friendly and very helpful. There were options for both those looking to take baby steps into more sustainable choices and for those who have already been able to transform it into a serious lifestyle. Its about time Norfolk got a store like Less Than. The zero waste store model is so important. Products are high quality and theres enough of a variance in products to allow for choice and personal preference. The store also has a wonderful aesthetic; the moment you walk in, its a pleasing, comfortable environment that I want to spend hours browsing around. Staff is wonderful. Im so happy that this store exists!

I love this idea and they seem to have a great selection of bath products and cleaning supplies. Weve been ordering some of these plastic free items online but are so excited to make the switch to shopping locally. We would have loved walking to this back when we lived in Ghent.

This is my dream store! They have all kinds of refills (laundry detergent, dish soap, all purpose cleaner, etc) for super cheap! I got a jar of laundry detergent, a spray bottle of all purpose cleaner, and dish soap for $14. The employee was super helpful. They also have tons of eco friendly supplies - dryer balls, straws, reusable face wipes, and lots more! Definitely support this super cute eco friendly store.

I love having a local low waste to support! Its also amazing to finally have a refill station around here. The store is very well organized and clean. It is such a nice store with just as nice quality items. Plenty of products available in order to live a more sustainable life. The refill station had a lot of different options for fragrance, including fragrance free. The owner was incredibly nice, as well. This will become my new go to shop!

So happy to have this shop in town! Makes it easy and inspiring to reduce waste and rid one’s household of plastic and chemicals! The store is beautifully organized and I had a wonderful experience chatting with the owner. Was also very excited to hear there will be a second location opening in Virginia Beach soon!

I am SO thankful for the new Virginia Beach Store. While there, I picked up laundry soap, hand soap, dish washing tabs, and a new scrub brush! After washing with the lavender laundry soap my clothes feel soft and clean. Bonus, the smell of the lavender stays on the clothes in a way that isn’t over powering. The soap smells lovely as well and lathers great! The dish tabs actually did a better job than the ones I used to use! I was most surprised by my new soap scrubber, it’s much easier to hold than a loofa or other sponge and makes cleaning so much more enjoyable. The staff was SO nice and took the time to walk me through and show me everything. I can’t wait to go back!

We were turned on to this fabulous shop by a friend. We’ve been transitioning to no waste and finding a spot like this helped us get to the next phase of minimizing our impact. The shops ambience is inviting and organized with owner and staff that are friendly and excited to help you find what you need and be the difference you want to be. Five stars on google doesn’t give it justice!

Great store if youre making an effort to live sustainably! Staff is amazing, the store is dog friendly, and if you bring your pooch, theres a chance theyll put him or her on their instagram page!

Employees are very helpful and can answer any questions about the products they carry. Always adding new interesting sustainable products to their inventory. The pet products are awesome.

Like many reviewers said, finally a refill store with various sustainable products! I love it and they have a pop-up store and will likely open a VB store. I cant wait and I am so so glad virgina has a store like this! I will definitely be a frequent shopper and I highly recommend! Such a great atmosphere and great service!

I received my order same day and it’s free shipping locally for orders over $25! The quality and care put into these products is obvious and descriptions of what you are getting are accurate. I left out one of the handcrafted soaps and I almost don’t want to put it away bc my whole living room smells amazing. Everything comes in minimal packaging and even the thank you card can be planted in the garden. It’s a sweet and thoughtful touch. Can’t wait to visit the store.

Was so excited when I heard about this place! We’ve been waiting for a local place to shop zero waste and this is amazing! Even have refill stations where you can bring your own container. Will definitely be coming back as a regular customer

Purchased the soap which lasted a lot longer than my usual soaps. The scent was incredible and super moisturizing. Love this store!
