Makerspace is what you make it. Currently, it is building up to be a great place and encouraging all projects with in the community. Upfront cost is quite a bit, but your results are directly what you put into it. Dont let a lack of space or tools be the stopping block on your next project. Join them and you join a great community.

Honestly had now idea this place even existed. If you are a hobbyist and need a place to build/3d print/ cnc carve (wood)/ paint/sculpt this is the place. The staff here is super friendly and helpful. Large amount of space to do projects and they seem to have been growing a great community. I will most certainly be returning! Keep up the great work!!

Bought a make your own sign class for my husband, he loved it! What a unique experience. We got there early and were showed around, they explained the purpose of each room and area. Such talented and helpful folks! Appreciate the extra time and we wish nothing but the best in their new facility! We will both be back for different classes and plan on buying more for our families. What an amazing community asset!

As a Manufacturing Engineer, Ive been looking for a place to work on my own projects. After speaking with the people present, or the acting staff, I will say this. What little metalworking equipment they have is not worth the $100/month and $1200 down theyre asking. Neither are their dusty 3D printers and computers. If they have the equipment youre looking for, I recommend buying it from grizzly and keeping it in your shed; youll be happier.

We are super lucky to have a makerspace in the area. This space is setup with all the tools to make anything you can imagine. From laser cutters to wood working tools, the 757 Makerspace has it all. If you want to learn about using the tools, the 757 Makerspace has classes built around teaching proper use of the tools and techniques. I highly recommend you check out the space.

Great place for any project you need to work on! Beau is an amazing guy who likes to work with people and help bring anyones project or idea to life. Every first Friday of the month, they do an open house (usually goes from 7-10pm) where all ages and people are welcome to check out the space.

Easily the best makerspace in the Hampton Roads area. The Ghent location is where a lot of the creativity is. Business model is paid-membership, which makes it less accessible for hobbyists (dozen-visit package for $120). Free Open Build Nights every first Friday 7pm-10pm, but also free tours on regular schedule (3/week). The space is somewhat crowded with equipment and stuff, leaving less actual work/collab space.

This is one of the coolest places in the area, I may be biased though. Ive been a member here for a couple of years, and in that time, Ive learned to weld, run a laser, 3d print, and gotten better at a lot. Ive used the tools here to make furniture, toys, and Christmas presents. My son has learned the basics of programming here.

You can make amazing things here with the guidance of local experts. Laser cutting, 3D printing, screen printing, vinyl cutting, sewing, VR, coding, CNC cutting even learn how to blacksmith. They do classes and some really great events as well. Totally worth the visit for a day pass, or a full membership too.

I had a very hard time finding the entrance and ultimately I never got inside during business hours on a Friday. Theres a sign on what looks like the entrance that says to go to the other door around the corner, and the only door there has a giant Stop sign and its rusted shut... I dont get it
