I love this type of hardware store, weird they always have had the one product available on the shelf, where as, that of most larger type of hardware stores, offen dont carry 🤔. Very specific parts and nut and bolts. Etc. Yes its true, for over 23 years as a handyman worker, I found my self using their services over larger department like shopping services. Ending with this statement, its the employee that companies needs the most, this company has found great people 👍. So they get a five star 🌟 for all the above and so much more. I love Ace Hayward. I wish there was one on the east side of Norman. Its always clean, organized, and prices are comparable to other stores. Employees are always friendly and helpful. 💯

An amazing place to shop not very many left, only 1 in norman but the employees are there to help which is amazing and are polite which makes the shopping experience excellent. Wish other companies would try that hard.

It is a very good hardware store with great service.

When I came into the store, a young lady greeted me and offered to help. When I told her the items I wanted, she walked me to each spot so I could choose what I needed. At one point, she even helped me make a choice that saved me some money. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about their products.

My daughter and I bought a full sheet of Plexiglas to cut 3 pieces of 34x24 and the guy citting it tried to make us buy another piece saying it was not enough until I showed him with the other pieces that he was wrong I was born just not yesterday. Felt like if I wasnt there he would have ripped her off . I dont know if I trust Ace hardware any longer.

Since this store is across town from me I normally go to the big box stores. Today I needed a couple of unusual washers for my shower. Went to the big box store and could get no service. I went to this ACE and was met at the door by a very friendly gentleman. I explained my problem he took me back to where the faucet washers were and proceeded to find the correct ones. He had to disassemble the piece to fit the correct washer. He spent near 30 minutes for 3 dollars worth of sale. This is customer service and from now on it is my first place to go even if it is across town. A big two thumbs up!

Website Listings FalseThis privately owned store has terrible customer service even at the manager level. Although their website lists items as available to pick up today, in this instance, a Rubbermaid 32 gallon trash container lid, after driving further to their location, they refused to sell me a lid unless I purchased the entire container in spite of their website indicating they do sell individual lids separately. They have stack of lids on the 10 foot high shelf, far outnumbering the number of containers they have in stock, yet wanted to argue with me and refused to sell the lid in spite of their website listing, using the excuse they dont have to abide by their website since they are privately owned. I will not ever shop at Ace again after this experience.

Everything is too expensive.$2.50 keys had made and they dont work and I cant get them out or stuck thats Ace.

Wasnt able to find exactly I was looking for here, but the staff was friendly and helpful through the process.

When I got to the checkout counter there was a sign that stated cash only. I thought that sign should have been posted on the front door. As I left, I checked. It was not posted anywhere around the entrance. Big waste of time!

First of all I want to say I love shopping at Ace. Today I went into the Ace hardware on 12 ave in norman ok to get a couple of items. I was walking down each isle just looking and shopping around when I noticed the staff following me around so I asked them why they were following me and was told there is a lot of theft and they were doing their job so I explained I shop there all the time and would not steal from them I like coming here too much(plus I just dont steal at all). I was told again they were just doing their job. I put my stuff down and went to my car. I needed the stuff I had so I went back in to get it and was followed by 2 employees with no regard. When I asked why they were following me again I was told Im just providing great customer service. I felt like it was sarcastic like she new I was stealing just by looking at me. I am Hispanic by the way. So she threatened to call the cops and I left. I went back about an hour later trying to reason with them. I offered to leave my I.D. with them and I just wanted to shop there. This time with no answer as to why I could not shop there the manager then called the cops on me. My wife went in the store to get the items I needed and an employee (a man) twice her size got in her face and pushed her back I told him twice to get back from my wife and he would not stop so I entered the store and he tried to attack me by pushing through my wife. The cops came and gave me a ticket. PLEASE DONT SHOP HERE!

Worst store experience ever! The young lady kept following us through the store and would not leave us alone! At one point in time she was even reaching across us. She was always within a foot away and would not leave us alone driving us out of the store!

Quick and easy to get what i needed

Wow! That was quick! I needed a few things to do a little something around the house. And Im not tired from having to walk half mile just to find the stuff I needed. I still had the energy to finish my home improvements. Ace hardware is really convenient.

They have everythiNg. They have enough staff 2 help, unlike walmart. They R conveniently located next 2 Homeland. I hope that Homeland :makes it. Homeland is also a convenience.

Always friendly and helpful here. They will usually have what I need and if not they make effort to get it for me, if its something I can wait for. Always recommend the locally owned places.

Held parts for us

Had exactly what I needed for a plumbing fix. Something even the plumbing supplier didnt have.

Went here looking for fuel for a kerosene heater. Hasnt even started looking around when an employee asked if they could help me. I said I was looking for kerosene. They walked me to the corner where it was and asked if they could load it in the basket for me! I was in-and-out in 5 minutes.

Not bad of a hardware store, got all the stuff you need and filled with people that help you even before you ask!

Tends to be over priced but the nail in the coffin for this place was the fact they expected me to leave my grocery cart at the front of the store. So because I shopped at another store am I automatically a shop lifter??? Gotta love being alienated when they have a army of attendants to follow you around instead of this knee jerk reaction. Ace will not see another red cent from me after that

Its been at least a year since I had been there. I needed to have a key made. I shopped the store while waiting. There has always been a good deal on something in the past and today proved to be the same. Picked up a few things I had been needing. Store is clean. Employees were polite and professionals. Im sure I will return.

Great folks always! The bolts and nuts aisle needs to be 3 times wider with more stock. 6 people in an aisle built for 2 or 3 is tough. If one of them has a cart too, then forget it. Stock was low.

Friendly and helpful

Ive been to this location probably over a hundred times time during my house remodel. Although pricing on some items may be slightly higher than your big box stores, the staff are always extremely friendly and helpful. Its also really easy to get in and out quickly so you can get back to work on the project at hand. Not to mention that they are a lot closer than having to drive 15-20min across town just to pick up 1-2 small items. The only negative about this place is that I cant take them with me on my move to Yukon.

Very positive. I was looking for a tub faucet handle for a really old faucet stem. I couldnt get it at Lowes. I tried Locke, and they dont carry faucet handles, but the manager asked me to try at Ace Hardware. I took the old stem to Ace Hardware, and the sales persons were really helpful. Kudos to the young guy who measured the stem groove and suggested that I should try the handle with the J broach. Luckily they had it. They fit the tub faucet stem perfectly. Thank you guys for your efficient and very courteous help.

This Ace Hardware is one of my favorite places to shop! So many tools, hardware and gadgets and not enough money to take them all home with me. I will be back!

We needed a part to fix a fan. We went to the Ace Hardware store to find some help. We were able to get a pipe fitting that worked. We had a couple of choices and we were able to fix the fan.
