For my 2005 Hummer H2, I wanted the stock muffler replaced with something that sounded more aggressive, deeper, and louder. I didn’t want it obnoxiously loud that simply annoys people. They suggested the Magnaflow 18” muffler. It is perfect. The sound is exactly what I wanted. It’s louder, deeper, aggressive, but not too loud. It sounds very good. Good job Performance Muffler. Will be back to give you more business in the future.

I’ve always known this was the place to go in Norman since the late 90’s. Used their services numerous times and every time it’s been 5 stars from start to finish. Do not waste your time as this is the only place you should go. If you live anywhere in the metro it’s worth the drive to come to this establishment.

This place was great. I had come in because someone had tried to steal my catalytic converter and cut my exhaust in half. Luckily they didnt finish the job for whatever reason. I called and spoke with Tim, he got me set up with an appointment later the same day. They just needed to weld it back togetherand had me back in my truck in about 20 minutes. Didnt try to up sell me on anything, cool guy to chat with, and all around a good experience. Highly recommend.

I went to them today to get my catalytic converter replaced. They were absolutely great! Great guys & were very knowledgeable. They let me know exactly what was wrong with it, how the part was significant to my engine, & what the problem had created. They fixed for me for a darn good price, too. It was the absolute cheapest quote I got & now my car is running wonderfully! I got a warranty with it as well. Great shop all around. Will definitely return for anything I need.

I took my 2009 Chevy pickup in because my muffler was making a really bad noise. My truck has over 400,000 miles on it. I figured I would basically have to replace the whole exhaust system because of how old it was with that many miles on it, and thats what I told the owner Doug. He took it in the back and looked it over came back and explained that my model of truck had an all stainless steel muffler system on it and it was only a connection bracket that had broke. So he fixed it and charged me 30 or $40. The thing is he could have come back and told me yes I do need a whole new muffler system and charged me 300 to $500 and I would have paid it. Now that I know Doug is an honest man I will always bring my stuff to him, and tell all my friends to also.We need more hard working honest people in the automotive industry. Highly recommend this family business. A local car shop referred me to them for a cracked exhaust pipe. They welded the crack, saving me the great expense of replacing the whole exhaust system. Really prompt, genuinely friendly service. And they even refused to charge me anything for it. What an incredible shop. Theyve earned my appreciation and trust 100%.

Prior to bringing my car in to this location, I made sure to read the reviews. After reading the reviews, I just knew that this was a place that I could trust to fix my car and not try to gouge me for more money. I arrived shortly after they opened this morning, told them what was going on with my car. They quickly had the back pressure test completed and already located the clog in my exhaust system. A short wait later, they had the issue fixed and I was out the door. All together, I was there for maybe 45 mins at most. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone with exhaust issues or looking to get exhaust work done. I will continue to bring my vehicles to this shop. Good group of workers! I needed one of my dual exhaust hangers reweld after truck was borrowed by son.It wasnt bad but muffler shops are getting thin on locations and this was the only one i knew on my way home of working 12 hours.Cold and dreary out yet they were open.Was greeted by a pleasant young man and quote $40... I was great with that.They pulled my truck inside and weld in 2 spots while letting me watch and carrying good conversation. It took short time and the truck was done fast.The father wasnt going to charge but i insist on some amount. $20 he said...Dont hesitate to take your exhaust to performance muffler when in need of help!

I’m from out of state, and had Doug look at the truck my daughter has there in Norman. She took it in with the CEL on. He diagnosed the problem, and honestly told her repair wasn’t needed immediately, and what it would cost if and when that repair was needed (much less than dealership!). I’m confident we’re in good hands for any future exhaust work needing to be done.

Was told it would a 2 hour wait to get my car looked at, ended up only waiting one hour. Car was fixed and ready to go in 30 minutes, also runs and sounds better than when I bought it! Very reasonable price 😁😁 would definitely recommend this place.

When my muffler and tail pipes broke off into 4 pieces, they offered to weld it back on for $80. I got a fix and new pipes for $210. Great service, quick service and affordable. I would highly recommend!

Darn good folks too.My only knock and the reason I didnt 5***** them, is the one muffler they installed on my 4Runner is rather throaty. I would have paid extra to get something quieter if they had it. Regardless, they are a great small business to deal with here in Norman.

I couldnt recommend a muffler shop better than Performance Muffler. They diagnose an issue that the dealer, and other auto shops could not find. They could have easily fixed it and gained a happy customer. However they took it a step further and stated it was covered under my manufacturers warranty, essentially saving me hundreds of dollars. They will have my business anytime I need anything fixed.

I will admit to having a rocky start with this shop. But they ended up making everything right. Doug is awesome, Ive since brought him several cars. Our local car club goes to him for all our needs. They simply do the best work for the best price. Just be clear about what problems you have or what you want done and theyll figure out how to get it done. You should definitely feel comfortable bringing them a foreign or domestic car, its no problem for them.

I drove from Lawton to Norman and made an appointment for performance muffler to check out and fix the exhaust leaks on my Toyota 4Runner, which was around December of last year 2018 it is now May of 19. I brought it there and after a couple of hours I had to call back to see if anything was found out and of course it was already out of the shop, mind you he didnt call me and tell me you was ready or any type of update. The update was I needed some type of special pipe / flange for the O2 sensor to fix the exhaust leak and he said he would have to call around to find one. I left him my number my name and everything and Im still waiting on that call LOL. I took it to another shop in Oklahoma City any thought it was kind of silly to order a flange slash pipe for a 20 year old vehicle so what he did was he cut the pipe and just weld it around the flange and it was fixed and $30 later I was down the road. I honestly wouldnt recommend performance muffler to anyone anymore, Ive been going to either or shop for about 15 years when I lived in Norman. The best shop was University Muffler, and Ive heard that that was performance mufflers brother that owned one over there. Its really sad that he passed away and his shop is closed I really miss coming to Norman to get my exhaust work done but unfortunately time goes on.

Performance Muffler has worked on several of my vehicles. Most recently, I was having an odd rattle in my mustang’s exhaust caused by the headers, and the guys at performance Muffler got it fixed up. They are a family run business, and are very friendly and reasonable.

Its been a while since Ive been to this shop, but I see from recent reviews that they are still offering quality work at a great price. Ive taken numerous vehicles here to have various levels of work done on many occasions. The most extensive work I had done here was when I installed long tube headers on my 1986 Mustang GT. I brought the car to the shop with no exhaust installed except for the headers. The only other parts I supplied were the mufflers. They proceeded to fabricate the entire system between the headers and mufflers, added some tailpipes that they had from a previous customer that fit my car and added a set of chrome tips. It all cost me less than $200. You cant beat this place for service, quality of work and price.

The bolts that held my 02 sensor on rusted off. I thought it was going to be a lot of work and $. Performance fixed it in record time and only charged me $40.00. Dont go anywhere else!! Performance is a great place to get quality work done.

I had them put a flow master on my truck back in November. Great service then. The drone was to much on the highway so they are installing a magnaflow and even offered to take my used flow in on trade. This is the muffler shop you should go to in Norman.

Been there 3 different times to fix their welds. I tell them the hanger needs to be reinforced so it stops breaking and same weld one stick. So its broke again payed for it 3× already

Got hit by a rubber piece on the highway the other day, caused my exhaust to dislocated on my Camry. Stop by for an inspection and after 15 minutes everything was back to its original spot. They are excellent people! The engine check light of my car was on. I asked people in another store helped to check the problem. They told me it was the converter of my exhaust system was in trouble. I went to Muffler to fix. The staff here told me. There was nothing wrong with my converter. The problem was the previous owner put low level gas into it. They didnt charge me the check fee!
