The last two times I’ve been here the customer service stunk. The first time the iPad that’s used for U-Haul returns was malfunctioning. The problem solving abilities of the kids working there was non-existent. They quarreled amongst themselves, wasn’t sure what else to do and the person they thought might have the answers wasIn a meeting. This went on for 10 minutes after which I left.Thought I’d give this store another chance when I needed to get some bolts and screws that got lost during my move. This time it was difficult to find someone that worked there. I located a young man working the key making machine and asked if he could help me.He responded to me as if I demanded he stop what he was doing and help me immediately and told me “you’ll have to wait” which I kinda figured. So I stood there whilst he worked the key machine.After a little bit I started to walk around the aisle looking for the items I needed. 2 ladies were ushered there by another employee and now the person that was suppose to help me has stopped what they were doing to help them! I stood there and watched as he helped these ladies. When he was finished he headed back to the key machine. Surprised by that, I told him that this was terrible customer service. He told me he must have made my day. To which I replied “no you didn’t. This is NOT what I want my day filled with” and left. I will never come back nor recommend this store to anyone. This store has no idea what customer service is.

Just dropped off uhaul, staff was friendly and attentive. I had tight connection to make flight and Rep Evan helped make check out easy and fast. Definitely rent here again!

Floor people are very helpful. Help you find your items.Now cashiers does not know how to give your change back to you.Who put change ontop of your bills.Did u every try to balance the change on the bills.Change SHOULD BE PUT IN YOUR HAND AND THEN BILLS SHOULD BE COUNTED OUT TO YOU. ESPECIALLY IF I GAVE YOU $100 dollar bill.These kids are not trained CORRECTLY.. THE BLIND LEADING THE BLIND..ITS so sad..

Decent prices and theyll have everything you need. However the last few times Ive gone here the same dark haired girl has been at the checkout and she seems miserable. First time I gave her the benefit of the doubt, but every time I have seen her here she wont even say hello, and if she does talk she doesnt come off as pleasant, which is a shame because most other people there seem pretty nice.

I went in this afternoon to look for some screws. It took me a while and I asked for some help. An associate walked over and opened the drawer said here and walked away. That was the help I received. There was no help in finding what I needed. Also the cashiers who are young are swearing joking around. This was just no help today or the last time I was here. To come here you need to know what you want without asking anyone for help. I have aways come here but the store has definitely changed and not for the better.

This location doesnt update their inventory I wasted my time gas and miles driving here for something that they said was in stock that was an actually here. Better off going to Home Depot or harbor freight for what you need.

5/2021 Found what I needed. But took a long time to get help to find it. Several cashiers and several people outside working. But only 2 inside. Had to wait about 10 minutes to snag help. They were helpful finding things right away then. But the wait was longer than I am used to in other Ace Hardwares. When in the area, I will use them again though.

Always have what i am looking for just dont ask the stand around guy. Oops i meant the manager for any help because he acts as though your beneath him

Nice ppl, however, be careful when ordering online. Check all items before leaving store if not there might be an unwanted surprise waiting in the bag once you get home.

Me and my dad rented the smallest u-haul truck they have. Theyve told us the the aproximate charge will be about $60. We returned the truck in 4h and 30 mins, so we didnt even have the truck for the full day. They charged us double that amount. Total bill was over $120. We were really really negatively suprised wirh the way they do their business. That was very dishonest, greedy and unprofessional. Weve been shopping at this ACE for over 10 years, but not anymore.

Norridge Ace Hardware is top notch. Our delivery driver, Evan, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable with the order I placed. Also, the employees who answered the phone at this store are extremely professional and polite. I am really pleased with the service all around from Norridge Ace Hardware.

Must have new management in the past year or so. Staff is now unfriendly and dismissive of customers. Use to be my go to store, but the staff have made it a terrible place to shop. Check out clerks act as if its an inconvenience that Im bothering them to ring up my items.

My wife took our lawnmower to this Ace hardware to be fix under Honda warranty.She was told that the lawnmower will be ready in 30 days.And 30 days later they did not even inspect it, and every time we talk to someone it’s seems like they were clueless and make up stores about it.They also tells us that they’ll call us back with update and never call us.2 month later we went and picked up our lawnmower and it was not even touch.One of the problem Ace hardware has is the luck of communication with their 3rd party which fixes equipments for them.Instead, every time you call you get different answer from the first.It seems as if they are overwhelmed and did not care at all.To make a long story short, I was able to tell my story to Honda and referred me to some where else and with in 4 days my lawnmower had been fixed.I would not recommend this place.Worst customers service ever.

Team was helpful when I went to buy a padlock and when I was not sure if it would fit the u-haul, they offered to take me in the back where they apparently had a uhaul parked so I could try the lock.

I walked into Norridge Ace to get screws for my bench outside. I was looking for quite some time, and I was approached by a young man named Mike. He helped me find the screws easily and he was so generous! I’ve never met someone that young who showed a great kind of act, and he knew what he was talking about. Great store and employees!

CAREFUL: THEY DONT CHECK IDS FOR CURBSIDE PICK UPS! And they laugh about it! I wish I could give this zero stars. I had a curbside pickup today and waited almost 20 minutes talking to 3 or 4 different employees about my $20 order. Turns out someone random picked up my order and got away with it because they dont check IDS. When I called, the extremely unprofessional employee I talked to said do you want me to make a copy of your ID or social security card next time? And also, I want to be done with this. I was nothing but kind and very understanding as I talked about how how I would like a new order and it was received with anger, sarcasm, and laughter. There clearly isnt good communication there between employees and I WILL NOT BE ordering from here ever again. Way too unprofessional.

Have been shopping at this location for over 25 years, and have noticed a big change with the new ownership. They have halve increased their customer service, along with providing a variety of repair services, such as lawn mower repair, snow blower repair, and replacing old and torn window screens.Very good neighborhood ACE to shop at.

I was greeted when I walked in and the young man, Nick in the paint dept. went above and beyond to find the samples I needed. He was really busy but you wouldnt know it by his calm demeanor. Checking out was smooth and fast. The customer service here is OUTSTANDING!

At this store, I have been asked, can I help you with something a few times and they actually help. You know that rarely happen at the large chain competitors. Not knocking the hardworking staff at the large chains, but ACE has more staff to customer ratios than HD and Menards.

Great customer service all around. Ryan in particular. First time he assisted me, he needed help finding my item. Rather than hand me off to the other employee, he came along to find my item and know the location. 2nd time, he helped me get exactly the right cut and size of spooled rug. Good guy! I go here bc they have spray paint. BUT when I went yesterday there were so many employees that were putting on and off their masks while walking around. Other employees had their noses completely out of their masks which defeats the purpose. We are in a pandemic. Proceed with caution. I ran in and out after seeing this.

The store has a lot most Ace hardwares have been closing Mount prospect Des plaines but youre going to pay more than home Depot Lowes so be prepared I went to the one on Lawrence and Cumberland thats either norridge or Chicago everything I looked at was overpriced some people got money to just blow others need to take a deal had a lower price especially if they have a lot of projects I hope this review helps you to decide where to shop

In this hardware store you will find anything for your home and garden. Professional and polite customer service, some times I go there to just walk around and see new stuff.Perfect local store, they should sell coffee and donuts.

This is our go to place for so many things. Great sales and good stock on hand. Pleasant and friendly staff always eager to help. Like the old mom and pop stores. Not a big box store where you can never find what you need or never any staff to help you! So glad you managed to stay in business so long.

The owner must be living in lala land....came in for paint, there was no air conditioning running on a 95 degree dat and only one cashier running with over 10 people in line....always hear this is a good place from my neighbors but they seem too conerned with saving a quick buck than the well being of their customers and employers

This place has been here for a while and has most of the things you might need. Its a little cramped and slightly disorganized. But there are some good people that work here. Not everyone is an A student but its a hardware store. If you are going to need special help with a project you might want to go to a larger store with more knowledgeable associates. Not to say that there are idiots working here. There are some good people you just have to ask for help from the right ones.
