There are so many other places I would go to eat. It wasnt horrible, but it wasnt a great experience either. A staff member insulted another staff member for the way he placed utensils on the table. Sure it matters. Have that discussion out of view of your customers. Food was okay, but there were several mistakes in getting our order correct. We had six different entree options at our table. Only one is worth ordering a second time. We will try some place else next time.
With a work visit to North Arlington, I couldnt pass up the opportunity to try a good diner. As I parked out back I crossed paths with a gentleman who worked at the diner. I asked if the food was good and if he had a recommendation for lunch. He said everything is great but he likes the burgers as the are big, juicy and made fresh. He told me hes the cook and I wouldnt be disappointed.With inside and outside dining available, I choose to sit outside. I was immediately greeted by the stereotypical waitress who was rough but pleasant. I placed my order for a Mesquite Burger, medium with a side of disco fries. (Thats smothered in cheese and gravy) Service was quick and burger was as advertised! Excellent choice! It was suggested that I stay for dessert, because their selection of cakes and pies looked amazing. I however was full and passed on dessert. I will return on my next visit and will save room for cake!

Its sad to say that this place has really gone down hill. Perhaps its related to the pandemic but its just not the same as it was. If they made changes recently in the kitchen, they should consider reverting back
Went for breakfast from out of town. Carol the waitress was great! Food was hot and as ordered. They were efficient even with the covid labor shortage. Will definitely return if in town again.
I wish that I could say better, but this place was really dirty. Water leaking from moldy ceiling tiles, filthy bathrooms, everything could use a really good cleaning and if the places you see look this bad, what does the rest look like? The food was hard to judge on its own merit because I kept seeing grime everywhere.I have been here before and I don’t remember it being this bad.
Was taken out to Arlington Diner yesterday for a Birthday Brunch and the food and service were AWESOME. I had a Charbroiled Seafood Platter that included Filet of Sole, Scallops, Stuff Clams, Shrimp, Potatoes and Vegetables. I started with a rich Split Pea Soup.
Great food and service. Usual large portion for salads and juicy burgers.
I was sooo disappointed today with the Monte Cristo sandwich for brunch. I The ham was the cheapest ham you could find, the turkey was a thick cut dried out turnkey and the layout was shameful. 2 pieces of French toast layered with 3 or 4 pieces of square ham (the cheap kind not boars head or anything) then turkey carved off of a dried out turkey and swiss cheese laid on top of all of that. Not in a sandwich just horrible. I couldnt stand it. The French toast was even soggy because of the wet ham on top. UGH. This is my 3rd time there and I am not too happy with the food served. Theres no care put into it at all.

We went on a Saturday afternoon about 1pm and were seated as soon as we walked in. The menu was large and has whats pretty standard for Jersey diners.For starters we got the French onion soup which I wasnt really a fan of and the egg rolls which were good. My SO loved the eggs benedict and my pastrami panini was so large I took more than half home. If you like crispy fries like I do, theirs are absolutely perfect. They are one of the last restaurants that Ive seen still do bottomless refills on fountain drinks. We were to full for for anything else but got baklava from their dessert case to go and it was delicious. Id go back just for that.The diner has ample parking in the front and back and has mostly booth style seating from what I saw. Service was quick and our waitress great. We will be going there again.
Had Philly cheese steak on a roll with sweet potato fries. Great food.
Grabbed some strawberry cheesecake for dessert to go. The diner closed early (around 10:30pm), the cheesecake was light and fluffy

My first time there. Went with a friend. The food was good and the waitress was very nice.
Over price, stack of pancakes with fruits on it and chocolate, powder sugar, $18, omelet with avocado and regular things 17$, 2 mimosas $18, 2 eggs and home fries and hot chocolate. 1 orange juice. Total of $66.50. Good luck.
Do not recommend. Food is not good at all. Ordered a basic breakfast- scrambled eggs, bacon and toast. Bacon tasted like paper. Eggs seemed as if they were just microwaved. Diner couldn’t even get the toast right which should’ve been the easiest to make. Very disappointed and will not be ordering from here again.
Overall small portions for a diner. Bacon thin, eggs are small. Has that old time diner look but that’s it.
Food Ok. They burned my corned beef hash. It didn’t taste good. I didn’t tell my companion. Older guy at front door kind of rude. So quick to shut the door when I asked for table.
I am very happy with this diner. It has been consistent for the decades I have been coming here. They have a great assortment of food, more so than most diners. And their basic foods such as grilled cheese with tomato is always made in a way that I want to come here specifically for it.
I always enjoy whatever I get here. Nothing fancy, just good diner food given with good service.

We enjoyed Arlington Diner until our visit this morning. It soured us enough that we do not intend to return.We were seated and had our orders taken promptly. We didn’t see our server again until she brought our food, probably because she was very busy flirting with the table of basketball players half her age. She didn’t bring my drink, then chastised me for not reminding her when I asked her about it when she dropped our food.Our food was cold and had obviously been forgotten behind the counter. My toast was literally damp. She made a point not to make eye contact with or check on us until she noticed my partner’s plate was empty. Given her response to the drink, we asked for a check and left my almost-full plate on the table.When we were leaving, we mentioned our experience to the manager and she said, “She took the drink off.” (True. I changed my mind after the server told me she was going to make it after I reminded her when we got our food.) The manager then said, “Well, did you eat your food?” My partner admitted to eating his; I said that I had a piece of (soggy) toast from my plate while being ignored by our server. The manager snapped, “What do you want me to do, then?”We paid our bill and left. Needless to say, this formerly lovely place has been crossed off of our list of diners.
Service was terrible, waitress never came they had get someone else to take her place after asking twice where the server was. Food was cold. Never again will I come to this place. Service has gone down drastically as the years pass.

I always saw Monte Cristo sandwiches on television or the Internet, but I never had one. They were always portrayed as a ham, turkey and cheese sandwich dipped in a French toast like egg batter and fried.I saw the Monte Cristo on the menu here at the Arlington Diner and decided to order it thinking that it would be well made from an established diner like this.When I got home and open the container, I was shocked. There was a couple pieces of ham with a couple pieces of cheese on top that was heated up to look like it was half melted. Underneath that was some shreds of turkey. Then underneath that was some normal French toast. That’s it.Not a sandwich, not made together, not grilled or fried. It was French toast with some meat on the side. And it was super expensive, A lot more than if I just ordered French toast and a side of ham.

The place was great the staff was extremely friendly and the food was fantastic the only problem I have is their consistency sometimes I go there they give you a glass of water with your meal and sometimes I go there and they dont give you no water at all

We noticed a sign outside the diner about their world famous cheesecake and went in to try it. We were definitely not disappointed. One of the best cheesecakes we have ever had. The loaded fries were amazing as well.
I have been here a few times. Every time I visit NJ, I make it a point to come eat here. I love this diner and the waitress I had this past visit was phenomenal!!!

First Time and I wouldnt recommend this spot to anybody who dont want to spend $25 + on da same stuff you can get from IHOP... Everything is a upcharged!!! I spend roughly around $100 and I, myself barely ate anything but Fried Calamari that was way too oily and sauce didnt have a taste to it.. I Would Never Be going back!!!.. My son enjoyed his food as well as my nephew who barely finished his Nutella pancake. My mom had something w waffle and strawberry.. The Server he wasnt any Kind of Help neither in helping placing order or telling us any Special... 👎👎👎 Not returning back!!!!

I’ve been there a couple times through covid, mostly during the week in which I had pleasant experiences. My biggest warning is that on days they are busy such as weekends (I came on a Saturday afternoon), they seem to disregard covid regulations and had an entire corner of the restaurant packed fully back to back with no barriers between tables and made us uncomfortable to the point of asking for boxes and leaving mid meal.
