I had a great experience shopping for my wedding dress. I felt well supported by the staff- they asked questions to find out my style and helped me select a beautiful dress that fit me perfectly. The appointment was private so we had the store to ourselves which made the experience even more meaningful. Cant wait to wear my dress next month!

I went to Icon bridal in search of a wedding dress. I did a quick Google search for a black owned store and they were one of the options. The staff were great, friendly and helpful. I tried on about eight dresses until I found the one that I loved. I definitely enjoyed my experience and would recommend to all brides to make an appointment and try on some of their beautiful dresses!

I was buying my dress with only 4-5 months. I didnt even know what I wanted. Connie was extremely helpful in helping me try on some dresses from what I told her appealed to me.The dresses were a good price range and beautiful. However, I really wanted a specific bodice and didnt have a lot of time.Ultimately, I ended up buying a dress elsewhere and getting out customized into my dream dress. Ive never even sewn a button, but from descriptions and pictures Connie & Alina made me the perfect custom dress of my dreams.

Great service! Everyone there was so friendly and did everything they could to help me find my dream dress. Theresa was wonderful and was so patient with me because I kept trying on the same dresses. My experience at ICON Bridal was nothing short of AMAZING!! I found this store after trying on dresses at 2 other boutiques. I came by myself and they made me feel so at home and welcomed!! The dresses were beautiful and Theresa was so accommodating to my requests. I described what I liked and didn’t like and she was able to find dresses to meet my needs. I said YES TO THE DRESS at ICON Bridal!! I also met the owner, Connie and she was so nice!! So glad I found this gem!

Although I didnt purchase my dress from ICON, I did have my alterations done there. Connie and Elaina were so incredibly kind and helpful. My dress needed a lot of work. In the pictures online, it was a tea length gown. However, when it arrived, it was floor length. Tailoring each of the many, many layers involved in the skirt was not an easy process, but they did such a magnificent job. Also, they made me a matching face mask, completely free of charge. Theresa, Connie, and Elaina all take pride in their work, and it shows. Despite having to have two of my fittings take place during a pandemic, the ladies made me feel safe. I was the only bride in the shop, and everyone was asked to wear face masks. Im so glad that I brought my dress to ICON. They knew exactly what I wanted, and were willing to go above and beyond to make it possible!

I had the best experience at Icon Bridal. The staff is very polite, extremely helpful, and very knowledgeable. They had the designer and the dress I had originally sought out online, and although I ended up picking a different dress, it was great to have the chance to try it on. They have a great selection of dresses and very reasonable prices.

Connie helped me find the most perfect dress. She and her team added straps and buttons to make it even more beautiful. I couldn’t have had a better experience.

I had an amazing experience with Icon! I found several wedding dresses online by various designers, and I really wanted to try them all on— but most bridal salons I found only had a few designers available. Icon had all of them, including my dream dress; Rebecca Ingrams Allison. The employees are so sweet and made me feel so special during my appointment. I found my perfect dress and the alterations they did were incredible. So grateful to Connie & everyone at Icon! 10/10 would recommend.

This shop is nothing short of wonderful! They have a great dress selection for a relatively small shop. I picked a wedding dress thatwas beautiful but needed some altering to fit the vision I had and Connie and her team made it happen! I was helped by one of the assistants, Teresa, who was patient and offered some great suggestions until I was able to find the ONE. At my second appointment, I was graciously directed to Connie by one of the other front desk assistants. I explained to Connie and the other seamstress the adjustments I wanted and they said it would be doable. They made the changes which involved adding fabric to the back of the dress and adding lace and beading as well as other alterations. They were very patient and made any additional changes I requested after the fittings started. They also steamed my veil that I had purchased from another store as a courtesy. They were understanding and flexible if I ever had to change an appointment time or was running a little late. Well, the dress came out BEAUTIFULLY and I got so many compliments from my guests! I am quite pleased and grateful for the excellent service and care I received by the team at Icon Bridal & Formal and would highly recommend them!

ICON Bridal was the first wedding dress store I went to and it was an incredible experience! Theresa was so kind, accommodating, and helpful. She also really took a look at the survey I filled out prior to the appointment, which made me feel like she truly wanted to personalize the experience for me. Connie and her team are amazing! Our appointment was very private and intimate, I had the whole store to myself. I had a specific vision going into the appointment of what I wanted and they truly brought it to life with their gown selections. I found my dream dress after only trying on 3. While I continued to try on more dresses, I knew deep down I found it! The experience was so fun and smooth with them and I recommend them to all newly engaged friends I talk to!

By far the best experience - the gown selection was incredible, I enjoyed all of my fittings and loved the dress and vail. The groom and best man also rented their tuxes from here. Very quick service and all of the ladies were on top of every detail! I even received a mask to wear in case needed because of COVID. I would HIGHLY recommend Connie and this boutique.

Connie and her team are incredibly talented, flexible, and a joy to work with. I purchased and altered my wedding dress at iCON, and have since returned for alterations on a bridesmaids dress. I am truly in awe of Connies skills as a seamstress. She considers every pleat, drape, and fold of fabric, then works miracles to make it all suit your body without compromising the look or flow of the garment. Even if you purchase elsewhere, trust me when I say you want Connie and iCON on your alterations!

I cannot put in words how excellent Icon Bridal & Formal is- I visited 6 stores total and the customer service, dress selection, and knowledge of Icon Bridal & Formal was the best by far. Theresa was my consultant and she made me feel beautiful, attended to, and especially really listened to- I couldnt believe how each dress she had me try on was better than the last and fit my exact vision of what I wanted for my wedding. Throughout my appointment, the woman who does alterations was available to consult and was so helpful. In the end I found a dress at another store but I went back to Icon Bridal and ordered from them because I trusted them so much and their alterations were cheaper than everywhere else. I love this bridal store!!

After driving all over Northern Virginia and looking in over a dozen shops and scouring many websites for my daughters prom dress, we found Icon Bridal, and we will never go anywhere else! Connie is wonderful! She opened her shop last year and you can tell she is enthusiastic about her new business. It was a little bit of a drive for us living near Falls Church, but it was well worth it. The moment I spoke to her on the phone I was pretty sure that we would have success. From the moment we entered the store to the moment she carried the dress to our car, Connie was so kind and helpful. She stitched the straps on the dress, steamed it and removed an unwanted appliqué all for no additional charge. She also didnt charge us for shipping. The shop is new and clean and comfortable. She has many designers that she works with and tons of bridal books to skim. We only had 2 weeks until the prom date and we were under the wire to get one delivered. The dress arrived the following week. Hope you love her as much as we did!

I used Icon Bridal to rent Tuxedos from Jims Formal Wear. Everything for 8 men fit perfectly. Connie was extremely helpful and friendly through the whole process. Icon bended over backwards to make sure everything was as we wished and done on time. Very impressed with their service and friendliness!

My original review posted three weeks ago: During my entire bridal appointment, the woman helping me was answering the phone and running around the store. I was not pleased with the lack of attentive customer service, nor was I pleased with the gown selection.Updated review: I was contacted a week ago by Connie from Icon Bridal and Formal about my first review. I had family coming in two weekends in a row to view dresses so I had made two appointments (one on 3/5 and one on 3/12). I went to the first appointment with my mother and one of my bridesmaids. After not finding a dress I liked there, and have a negative experience, I cancelled my appointment scheduled for the following weekend. When Connie called me on April 1st, she stated that she saw my review and told me that I had her boutique confused with another as I never came to either of my appointments and told me to take my review down. While I tried explaining the situation and that I had indeed come to my first appointment on Saturday, March 5, 2016, she argued with me and kept interrupting me. After I hung up with her, I looked at my calendar to confirm the dates/locations of my appointments that day, and called back to speak with someone else because of Connies poor customer service. The lady who answered the phone gave the phone straight to Connie and I explained that I had in fact come in, they must have cancelled both appointments which is why the original showed I never came in, and that they should be focusing more on the fact that I had a negative experience . She proceeded to argue with me again and I told her that I would be editing my review as she was calling to harass me about a review rather than apologizing for the poor customer service I received in the first place. Brides, I HIGHLY recommend going with another boutique. Your wedding planning experience is worth more than the terrible customer service experience you will find with Connie and this boutique.

Excellent Costumer Service I got a dress for first communion for my little girl, it was beautiful, was big for her but Mrs. Connie just fix it exactly for her, she is a profesional. I love it. 👍 she is wonderful and sweet!!! Im really happy, because after spending several hours checking other stores and website finally I found the perfect place!!! I just feel thankful for the beautiful experience!!!!

I went by to try on some bridesmaid dresses by myself since my bride and other maids are not local. It was easy to get an appointment and the ladies that work there were pretty flexible when I had to change the appointment last minute. Of course, I was coming in on a weekday afternoon so it really wasnt that busy. Upon arrival I wasnt really greeted but I went up to the lady there and said I was there to try on some dresses. She asked me what I was looking for, and I told her a certain designer and fabric. She took me to that section and helped me find several. Then she left me on my own to try things on. I had free access to pretty much any gown in the store and she checked on me a few times. I was there probably half an hour and basically roamed free. When I was almost done she came to see if I needed any help with the zippers or taking pictures, which I really didnt. I liked that they were there to guide me but they let me pick what I wanted to try, not like some stores where youre not allowed to touch anything unless they give it to you. The selection was pretty good, with lots of colors, styles, designers, and sizes. The size thing was important to me since Im a more average size, not model size, and for some reason they love to make formal wear small. The ladies were friendly, helpful, no pressure. Good parking and selection, just a little out of the way though. But, I would go back. I didnt end up buying a dress there because my bride ended up finding something online that isnt even a bridal brand, but I would recommend this store.

NEVER AGAIN! My brother got married just this past weekend and I bought my dress, my two daughters dresses and rented a tuxedo for my son and husband as well . They all needed alterations which was to be expected (approximately $100-165 per dress for alterations by the way). When I went to pick up my dress after 3 visits, I tried it on one last time. First off, although she said the alterations were done it looked and felt exactly the same from when I tried it on initially. So the dress had to stay again to get it re-altered, FINE! My daughter tried her dress as well and it was still too long (another dress that needs to stay). It gets even better. Its the guys turns to try it on, as I was helping my son try his suit on we noticed the pants were missing, there goes that. He tried on the blazer, shirt and suspenders and he was literally swimming in it (like 3 sizes too big). Connie, had to re-order his tux to a smaller size and make sure we were receiving the pants with it too. My husband order a suit from Michael Kors, well for the records- only the blazer was MK and the pants/shirts/vest was a non-brand, the vest was too big so they had to re-order the correct size for that too. So long story short we all left with nothing.The day before the wedding, we are told that its all ready and we can pick up (I mean duh... the wedding is tomorrow) do we have a choice? My dress still felt big on the skirt (but whatever, I took it just like that), the girls dresses were fine after it was fixed (but wait I have a surprise for you towards the end). My sons blazer was super big and she said nothing can be done. She offered to order a smaller size AGAIN and have it shipped overnight and deliver to the house before we left for the wedding, however the tuxedo company didnt even have it in stock. She kept on reiterating that its a rental and it cannot have any hemming done, I was so upset that unfortunately the bride had to get involved. apparently 10 tuxedos were rented from Icon bridal and only 2 of the ten had no problem. Well after arguing with her, she fixed my sons blazer, replace my husbands vest and I left so upset. Connie is one unprofessional, money hungry owner who had the audacity to blame everyone else about the problem and not once was she apologetic or acknowledge the blame at all. But whatever, I left and made it clear that I will not use her service EVER again!The day of the wedding- One button was missing on my sons shirt, my dad (father of the groom) sleeve was so short and blazer/ pants was wrinkled (was not steamed) and here goes the big surprise for my daughters dress. So she put the dress on and it looked beautiful on her.. but she was complaining that something was stabbing her on her armpit... Well guess what I found? A thread attached to a needle that was never removed after alterations was sure stabbing my daughters skin. NEVER AGAIN!!!

I had an outstanding experience at Icon Bridal & Formal -- the owner, Connie is very sweet and a pleasure to work with! I called all over looking for a particular wedding dress, and she was the only one who had it! She opened the store on a Sunday (when shes usually closed) because it was the only day I could get there. She called regularly with updates (including to tell me my wedding dress had arrived months early, which was an awesome surprise!) and even helped me carry my dress to the car. You can order any dress (even ones she does not have in the store) by leaving a 50% deposit, and if you dont like it on arrival, you get the deposit as store credit to spend on whatever else you might want. The price for my dress was unbelievably great! She charges less for the same dress that other stores carry. I would wholeheartedly recommend checking out Icon Bridal & Formal, I experienced A+ customer service throughout the purchasing process! Thanks Connie!

Icon bridal has a good selection of dresses, the prices are OK. However, the service here really lacks. I fell in love with a MoriLee dress. I was told that my size (size 4), was not a normal size and MoriLee had to make it and it would take about 9 months, which was fine because my wedding was a year and a half away. 9 and a half months come and i still dont here anything, so i call. I was told my dress would be there in about a week. 2 weeks go by, no phone call. So i call, they say that since my wedding date isnt that close that production of the dress was pushed back. Bottom line, yes, my wedding at this point is about 10 months away, but dont tell me my dress will be here in a certain time range, and avoid calling to tell me. Another huge issue with this place is the wait time. I made my bridesmaids an appointment on a Saturday at 12:00, we get there at 11:55 and there are 2 appointments going on, 1 that JUST started! Now let me tell you about how the tux fitting went. Our tuxes came in on May 23rd, my wedding was May 26th. My husbands fit GREAT. There was something wrong with each of the best mens suits. One of them the pants were 2 inches to short, one the shirt was GIANT, and one the shoes werent there and ended up coming in on the 24th! Now my grandfathers suit was THE WORST, he was the one marrying us. The pants were a size 42... my grandfather is a 32!!!!!! Then they proceed to say well we measured you a 42. my grandfather has ALWAYS been small, so there is no way. Well, they ended up actually having to replace his entire suit. The jacket was also 3 sizes to big, and the shirt as well. Bottom line, this place is extremely unorganized and 80% of the time they dont answer their phone, at times i would call 6 straight times in a row before they would answer. My dress turned out beautiful, i will give them that. But they need to hire more people and/or be more efficient.

As a rule I usually only give reviews if something is AMAZING, because I love to give credit where credit is due. This however, is a new one for me. I have to review this shop because it was beyond TERRIBLE. And as a measure- when I am reading reviews, I like to see how a company handles an issue, not just the everyday easy sale. The manager, Connie, is by far the worst customer service representative I have ever come across. Not only did she 100% order me the incorrect Bridesmaids dress, she tried to place the blame on me, offer me the most insane solutions- such as wear a dress in the same color but two sizes smaller, we can make it work. And send me a picture of you in the dress, send the dress back here, and Ill alter it and make it into something else., and she didnt want to refund my money for a mistake that was on her. She has zero common sense, and runs around like a chicken with her head cut off. She said there are no refunds after 60 days, however our dresses didnt even show up until almost 5 months after the sale, so I am unclear how anyone would ever be able to know if there was a problem and that they would need a refund. She left zero time for any errors. So there was absolutely no chance of me getting the correct dress for the wedding. She offers 10,000 excuses about why its not her fault, and no solutions to help the situation. I finally got her to refund my money, but she couldnt send it back to my card- the way I paid, she couldnt send it PayPal and wanted me to call them to verify the story she was telling me, and she told me she would mail me a check and about 8 days later there is still no check because - and these are her words- I dont walk the mail to the mailbox. This all began in November, and here we are 2 days before the wedding and I have an incorrect dress and she still has my money. My word of advice is PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE - ANYWHERE- ELSE!!! This dress shop could be fine if you dont have any problems AT ALL. But what if you do?! Good luck!!
