I love these guys. The usual doctor is really great and the sub doctor they had in was hilarious (and good)! They picked out the perfect frames for me right away. Even after trying zillions of others, I came right back to that first pair! Great service, and my glasses and contacts both came in within a week. Extra fitting and buffing was done with no problem. I will keep this office as my eye doctor and glasses and contacts store indefinitely! :-)

I received the very best care for my eyes from all of the people at this location on Rivers Ave. Laura, was very knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions. I have had to return a couple of times for adjustments and have always left satisfied. I would recommend Pearl Vision to anyone who needs eye care!

It had been 5 years since I had worn contacts. Wasn’t sure what correction would be best. I was given 2 pairs to try, Monovision or Distance. That was just great. Easily made my choice with 2 options at my fingertips. Thanks for your patience

My entire experience at Pearle Vision was by far the best eyeglass purchase and exam I have ever had. The doctor was very attentive to my needs regarding contacts and glasses. The optician Kate went out of her way to explain everything without me feeling pressure or uncomfortable. She also took a great deal of time making sure my new glasses fit perfectly(I usually have to come back several times to get them right). Not only could I see extremely well, but the quality of the lenses was exceptional. They made my extremely strong prescription lenses look super thin. If you like cute and sweet dogs, you get to meet the doctors dog Zoey for that extra special experience.🐶🤓

I am a long time contact lens wearer, but with a new eyeglass prescription I wanted to fill. I went to several optical stores in town in search of the perfect frames I had in mind. Lucky for me, I I found ultra lightweight frames by Silhouette here, and I also found Kate, who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable throughout the whole process of getting my frames and lenses just right. Definitely recommend!

I went to pick up my glasses today and I couldn’t read the card the placed in front of me. I could see clearly when I looked up but not when trying to read the card. I was told to lift my chin up and try to read the card again, but it was still blurry. I had ordered progressive lenses (bifocals) and have used them for the last 10 years so I understand the adjustments. However, when I explained that I i still could not read the card, I was told it was because of the readers I’ve been using. I was asked to try it for a bit and if I was still having issues, then I can come back for another exam. Here’s my issue. When I purchased the glasses, I was originally told that a rush order was put on my order, 5-7 business days, on day 7, I called to see if they were in. I asked about the rush order and they said that was not done. It took 10 business days and I feel if they screwed up this time, why not the next time. I may have paid for amazing customer service, but I sure wasn’t treated that way. I was told one thing by the doctor and then something else when I tried them on. To have to wait and see if they are working is not acceptable and the tone they took with was also acceptable. I paid $400 for a pair of glasses that were wrong and was treated as if I am the one to blame. My time is valuable too.

Melissa and cherry did a great job. They helped me so much and gave good advice and ideas on what would fit me. Thank you ladies. The Dr. Was so laid back in a good way. The atmosphere was really nice. You can tell they have a good time at work.

I had been to two other places for frames and lenses, one of which didnt even take my insurance and decided to give Pearle Vision a go. Thank goodness, I did. The entire staff is very nice and Emily is awesome! Shes very knowledgeable and didnt make me feel at all like I had to have something I really didnt need. I just moved here from Pittsburgh. I have been an Ophthalmic Technician for years. I know what quality, professional care looks like. Dr. Eric Lawver and his staff exceeded my expectations. I was given the best eye exam I have ever had, due to Dr. Lawyers expertise, yes, but also due to the fact that he has state of the art equipment! There are Ophthalmologists who dont have the retina equipment he does! Thank you, thank you for such a great experience! I want everyone to know about your office!!!

My original visit was great. Staff was friendly, loved the doctor, he is very thorough in explaining what he is doing and seeing what will work best for you...BUT that doesnt help if you cant get the product in. My appointment was a month ago. I have a very simple prescription, single lenses, was told 7 business days before they would come in. In about 10 business days I received a call that my daughters glasses were in and her appointment was the same date and time as mine. I went into the office and asked for a status on my glasses, was told they would order from another lab ASAP since it was over 2 weeks at this point. I called another time and left a message requesting status with no returned call. I have now called again, another 8 days later to request a status and was only told....we are still waiting on your lenses. No explanation, no estimated time of delivery. You already have the $700 for the appointment and 2 sets of glasses, yet we have only received one set. Doesnt matter how friendly the staff is, if you cant get the product that you paid for, and clearly something you needed or it wouldnt be prescribed by the doctor. Very disappointed in the turn around and even more disappointed in the communication. I will be finding another place for my families annual eye exams and glasses.

I went there with no glasses almost blind as a bat. Used my insurance and spoke with the doctor. The exam was quick and he explained throughly the mapping of my eyes that was available. It was very reliable and on top of that they were very friendly. I got a pair of glasses luckily same day and a good set of frames. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!My past experience with Pearle Vision in North Charleston has been satisfactory until my latest visit, which summed up in a word was horrible.In my latest visit I had brought in my prescription from my optometrist as usual and they ordered my lenses. They called me once they got them in and unfortunately this was during work. They left no message for some particular reason and I am so glad I called them back as I usually ignore and block numbers that do that. They already had my sunglasses so all I needed them to do was change out my lenses from my glasses I wear every day. I got there at 4:05, and explained to them that I really needed these glasses as I couldnt see well without them; I cannot read or drive without them. They said they understood and they would be ready in an hour.After an hour of walking through Target with nothing better to do, as I couldnt read my computer or phone, I walked back to Pearle Vision where they told me they were NOT ready (after one hour!) and that it would be another hour! They close at six and I reminded them I really needed them before they closed. They promised they would have them ready and that they would call me when they were so I could get them ASAP.I walked over to another shopping center, as again, I could not drive, and spent time talking with a friend. I will admit, this is where I am at fault, I lost track of time and didnt realize how long I had been there until the time literally turned to 6 pm. I immediately called them only to get their voicemail. At this point, I was frustrated and angry with how I was being treated. They of all people should understand the importance of me getting my glasses. I was trying to figure out how to get home when they called me around 6:10 pm telling me my glasses were ready (finally) and that they would be leaving in 3 minutes. I had no way of getting there that quickly!!! I told them this and they basically told me that it was too bad and that they would open at 10 the next morning. Their only excuse was that they were with a customer and that they couldnt break away for two minutes to call me to come and get my glasses. I had to be picked up by my mother and get my parents to help get my car to my home late that night. I also was unable to do any school work that night or that morning, it was horrible.I feel all of these issues were because of their unprofessional conduct with me. I have been to other places and it doesnt take anywhere near one hour to change out lenses. I wonder if I had just stayed in the store as a constant presence if they would have gotten it done quicker just to be rid of me. Or if they didnt take me seriously because of how young I look. Either way, I know for sure they do not care about my business because they have lost it for good. I will never recommend that anyone go there unless they want to spend $300+ on two pairs of lenses (!) and have to wait forever and a day to get them changed out. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My family and I had the best experience at this location. From the Doctor and his assistant and to the ladies out front, all of my needs were met. They were especially kind to my daughters and assisting them with getting their first glasses and helping my family understand our insurance. We highly recommend this location.

Last but not least I want to give a special thanks to cate with a C lol she was very attentive cared about what I was looking for and she practically picked my Frames. I was overdue for a new pair of eyeglasses so I thought I would try the new Pearle Vision in Summerville that recently opened two months ago. Stopped in to check out their eyewear and found the cutest frames!! Puchased them and cant wait until they come in! Excellent opticians and staff!! I highly recommend getting your eye exam and eyewear there!

We were vacationing in Charleston and my son lost his glasses at the beach-and no spare contacts! I called Pearle North Charleston and they had his prescription (from our pearle vision in Ga) faxed over so they could get him a pair of contacts within the hour! vacation was saved! I so appreciate that they took the time to address our dilemma late in the day with professionalism and care!
