Steve in the Mill Works department is essentially useless… never at his desk, rarely answers the phone (tried calling his extension multiple times and the call would simply hang up as if he ended it, not just roll over back to the pro desk) — the one time I finally got connected with him I was asking questions about doors and products, services, and he would simply answer “no” with no follow up or professional courtesy of trying to be helpful and recommend certain ideas to move forward with my project.Fabian was THE BEST though!! He was so helpful, friendly, professional, and cheerful. He helped us find exactly what we needed and went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied. He truly helped more than we could have ever hoped for!! Shoutout to Walter & Steve (IN FLOORING) for also being very helpful!!

Went into this location and was provided with great customer service all around. The lady at the door at about 4pm today welcomed me in and two workers one name Jackie and a male were extremely helpful. Jackie provided me with a cart for my belongings and the gentleman showed me both items I was looking for and needed without a problem. I must say I felt very welcomed. Thank you

I appreciate what Home has done for providing a safe environment shopping.I hope these changes will become permanent. Much better customer service for returns. Checkout is also much better using a common feeder line. The only frustration has been stock outs. Curbside pickup is a nice feature. I give them credit for the changes that have been made.

I have been buying all materials for my business fro HD for a while. Today was the last straw. The young man at the register tried his best to get a price per piece on something I buy all the time but it came up as box price. No worries it happens sometime. The problem lies with the young female that came to help him. I guess she was the manager. Serious attitude. I thought I was the costumer. This is the problem with HD and I have had it before Managers with serious attitudes. Went to Lowes got my stuff no problem

Who doesnt love home Depot

The Home Depot is a convenient place to by home products. But, everything in the store is low quality. Everything is manufactured to be one step above failure quality. If you need something fast and cheap then this is the place for you. If you want to built and maintain your home correctly and with the best quality you can find then go to small shops for lumber, plumbing, tile, electric supplies. You will pay more for them but in the long run it will pay for itself. Also the help in any Home Depot or other big box stores is sporadic and usually not educated on the products in the stores. The picture below is not even a company, it is a product of home Depot that they produce and put a fake name on.

I had such a wonderful experience at Home Depot North Haven today! Most days I can’t find help but today the two nicest gentleman helped me, got me everything I needed, went the extra mile and did it with a smile ! I had a lot of questions and had Mick from Electrical walking through isles with me getting me different parts and then we needed George from Plumbing to help us with plastic tubing and he stopped what he was doing and after searching high & low and many different items we found everything I needed! (To keep it short) It was a team effort and these two guys worked together to solve the problem. I’m thankful for both Mick & George! Great experience today!

When you order online, from North Haven, for pickup they will cancel the order days after it was supposed to be ready. If you are lucky enough to reach a human being on the phone they transfer you into dead space. We recently filled out an online request for installation services. They called us, only to say they couldnt find anything about our request. Seriously, THEY CALLED US so they were looking at the order. Learn from my mistakes, just go to or order from the East Haven Home Depot. They are great. North Haven sucks

Kind of a Tale Of Two customer help experiences. Warmly greeted at door directing us to kitchen faucet aisle, and associate checked on us while walking by. I noted the positivity. Also a very helpful person at the self checkout. But during our decision process, went into the kitchen section for a question. Could barely get either person to tear themselves from the screens they were looking at. I felt like I was invading their space. I would go back, but avoid that section.

My fiancé and I went to this Home Depot to get our new floor, the cashiers name was Kimberly and she was AMAZING! Very patient with us, and was super sweet from the moment the transaction started to the end even thou we had to re ring things like 3 times. Hope her manager sees this and gives her the recognition she deserves!

Sally @ customer service is what all employees should strive to be like. Pleasant, helpful, knowledgeable. Repeat customer now even though this one is the furthest from me.

Customer service is TERRIBLE. MyFamily just bought a house in North Haven so we’ve been in and out of Home Depot the last couple weeks. Every time I’ve come in and asked for assistance, the employees have been rude and apparently don’t know where anything is.. I’ll spend my money else where.

They had plenty of the hot suet for birds that I was looking for which other the Home depots havent, so I was very satisfied. Again easy to find what I was looking for and easy in and out

Home Depot dont allow return of paint because it is mixed by them. Very disappointing because i have been buying for them fir several years and thousands of dollars.

Paint department was excellent

I work for a large construction firm that purchases more than one million dollars in products from Home Depot annually. I came into the North Haven store to buy some paint for a personal project. The paint manager on duty mixed up 5 gallons of marquee exterior in the wrong paint base because he was out of the correct paint base costing me 40 hours of my time and $250 dollars in materials to correct the mistake. We will not be shopping at the North Haven Home Depot ever again.

I said it before and Ill say it again, I ordered a coffee and a frozen chocolate drink. The coffee was not fresh it had the stale taste like its been in the coffee pot sitting too long. The frozen drink didnt have the proper ingredients theyre supposed to use because it was just a gcup of cold milk .

Very nice workers inside with the answers to many questions which people may have while exploring a Home Depot. They have all of the things which anyone could need for a project at their house, whether it be DIY or you just need something like weed killer, they have the products which can help you get there. At this specific store, they have a very nice open feeling and nothing is crowded at all. The staff are friendly and easily approachable.

Love Home Depot. Great items for the home. Looking forward to their garden center being stocked soon when the weather warms.

I cant say enough about the staff here and Ive been coming to this Home Depot since the Grand Opening when I was in my single digits age OMG I really feel old now lol but honestly I can honestly say outta the 30 plus years of shopping here Ive never had a bad experience so definitely go here for your Renovation needs or fixer uppers or your quick fixes because you will be happy with everything

We live in Seymour and Derby Home Depot is our store, but we were in North Haven and went there. The store is very organized and the employees are friendly and Courteous.

Rated it 2 stars because it has poor customer service. Everytime I have asked assciates for help they seem to be really bothered and dont even want to talk or help at all.

We were looking for a 10lb bag of Plaster of Paris to bring along for our visit to Dinosaur State Park. Unfortunately they only carried a 25lb bag which was too heavy for us to carry.It was already 1pm and the casting in the Park ends at 330pm so we were eager to find a place that sells the product in a smaller size.Just as we were leaving, the nice gentleman who originally directed us to the aisle casually asked if we got what we needed. After he learned of our dilemma, he kindly suggested a nearby hobby shop that may have what we need! He didn’t have to make the extra effort but he did and in doing so he saved us time and panic.Thank you for the awesome customer service!! 😊

Went for garden center only. Was not allowed to enter thru garden center. Was forced to go thru main entrance and walk thru store. Sorry but this was not an acceptable Covid 19 sensitive policy.

Clean friendly knowledgeable people I found people willing to help me without asking. If the store doesnt have something the store associate was willing to look in other store or their online thats only a few days, and no charge if I have it shipped the the store. A lot of friendly staff.

Went back for the fifth time in an effort to get my half bathroom updated. I guess their contracted installers dont do those small jobs, so you are left with the sale associates from each department. I call it do it yourself creation and communications. I have never had so many people work so hard for me and get so little done correctly.

I felt like I got the run around and had to insist employees check on product availablitity. The front desk didnt want to check with millworks for availability and millworks didnt want to call supplier.

New staff are pleasant. The staff with some history(Iam familiar with them, I have been shopping here longer than anyone employed at this time) have attitudes and can barely move out of there own way. Of course this is not all staff.

Typical home depot, maybe in the smaller side. They do have a nice indoor plant selection. They pretty much have everything you need for your home, garden or projects. They is someone always available to ask questions if you need to.

Well-stocked with most of the items you will need for almost any home project. What is missing is the knowledgeable staff you will generally find at Lowe’s. The store is always neat and the restrooms are impeccably clean.

Place is so crowded you cant go through even 1 aisle without going by several people. Garden dept even worse, people are on top of each other. But as a store they got all you need.

Was told i can not rent a truck on the weekends. They also told me that if I wanted to use the truck I have to buy something big enough to accommodate the size of the truck?! This is ridiculous.. needless to say all 4 associates were to busy on their cellphones instead of helping me the customer. Meanwhile the truck sat in the parking lot not being used..horrible customer service and unprofessional.

Dont believe them when they hand you that hassle free warrantee stuff. I bought a lawn mower from them in June. The drive mechanism choked today. Once your purchase is 30 days old the warrantee entitles you to pay $20 for their mechanic to diagnose it. They get to decide if it is covered or not. Also if you buy a piece of equipment in the North Haven store and it breaks....dont bring it back there. You will have to load it back up and bring it to Hamden. Despite the fact that you can purchase equipment there, you cannot have it serviced there. Both my wife and I have, and use HD credit accounts there. But.....we have them at Lowes too. Perhaps we should shop there from now on.

I had a surprisingly terrible customer service experience with the North Haven Home Depot. I bought a log splitter through the web site which was delivered and assembled at Home Depot. When I first went to pick it up, it wasnt assembled. Then the assembler failed to show up to work when I was told, so I was delayed (only one extra day). When I went to pick it up, it was assembled but no air was put in the tires, which delayed me further. The next day when I went to use the splitter for the first time, it started but the splitter wouldnt move. After calling 3 Home Depot locations, the Home Depot support line and the Manufacturer I still had no solution because only call takers work weekends?!??! I eventually figured out that the assembler failed to remove a plastic shipping piece and connect the couplings. I made the connection, but had no set screws to secure it, so back to Home Depot I went. Once I finally got it put together I began using the splitter. Within about 15 minutes a hydraulic line (at the lever right above my head ) came free because the clamp wasnt fully tightened. Hydraulic oil sprayed everywhere, soaking me and the machine. As I was trying to reach the switch to shut off the machine through the spraying hydraulic oil, I accidentally burned my arm on the exhaust. I returned to Home Depot a few days later to explain my experience, and get more hydraulic oil. The customer service woman was friendly and eventually told me that the manager approved me to receive a 50% discount on the oil I was there to buy.So for that headache all I got was 50% off hydraulic oil that I never should have had to buy in the first place! I also received an email fro the Home Depot asking me to rate the purchase. The review had a section for the product review and a section for the customer service review. My review was rejected by the Home Depot because they will only publish reviews specific to the product and not to details of customer service. The customer service review section does not get published, only the produce quality section does. That was actually in the small print of the review. What a joke!!! Most people would probably have sued the Home Depot for a free splitter and some $$$$ for their troubles. Ill weigh my options and for now, Ill drive to LOWES!!!

Well the Home Depot is now holding its own when it first opened for the first five years the service was phenomenal and then it dropped down for like the next five years but now its on the uprise again services better than it was, people are knowledgeable so thats good

U often fine what you want

This stores return policy violates CT Consumer Protection Laws. Warning: If they dont have your desired item In-store, said item becomes Immediately subject to a 72 hour from purchase Return Deadline, whether they inform you about such an anti-consumer practice or not.. and regardless of the 30 day return policy the item would have been afforded if they had it in stock in the first place. When they dont have an item in stock and have to have it shipped in from elsewhere, In order to circumvent the CT Consumer Protection laws, they consider that item to be a Special Order regardless of if the item was normally carried by the store.

I just placed a huge order from this store. I was promised that my order would eb shipped in a few days but it did not because they did not have all the items in store. Then, I went to the store and explained the management the problem. They were very helpful. After the conversation, everything got delivered the next day. Overall, I am happy with this store.
