My cousin brought me to Liuzzis during my recent trip to New Haven. I love their sausage, cheese, and broccoli stuffed bread so much I smuggled a loaf back to Florida!Tastes amazing reheated!

A must try. It’s a market, combined with deli, combined with take out food. I had the chicken parm roll. Next time definitely want to try an Italian combo and the tortilla soup. My favorite part might have been the family lineage posted near the exit.

I know every time I go that as soon as I open the door and smell the delicious food inside I will be buying SOMETHING....usually a pretty good amount of somethings! Yes, some of the food can be pricey, but its definitely great quality! The variety of Italian specialties makes this one of my go-to places!

Great Italian shop where you can get imported meats and cheeses, only gets 4 stars because the ladys who check you out seem miserable and they let you know lol, also a great place to get meats l, sandwiches and charcuterie.

This is an amazing grocery store... Everything... They have everything you can think of from Italy. The cheese selection is wonderful from fresh to aged cheese. All the desserts you could hope for and homemade pastas.... Just amazing!!

I dont have an Italian grandma, but if I did, I think this is what her kitchen would smell like. As you come in you are welcomed by big wheels of cheese and cures meats, so definitely looks legitimate. Lunch was great, I had the chicken parmesan on a hero sub with mozzarella, and I was surprised by how fast I had a toasted sub in my hand.

A must visit if you come to Hamden! We love to stop here for their cheese and vodka sauce in particular. Always grabbing some of their frozen stuffed pasta too, for a quick weeknight meal. They also have a huge deli, sandwich menu and grab and go meals.

I never write reviews, but this one is worth writing. To the store owner, you need to do something about your incredibly rude staff. I went today to order a sandwich and could not get over how nasty the workers were. The lady behind the deli repeatedly said she could not hear me as I was ordering and I wasn’t sure what to do besides speak louder, and she still consistently said she couldn’t hear me. I was figuring I may need to leave since she can’t hear me ordering. She then ordered me to come further down to where she could stand closer to me. She then rudely said they don’t have arugula. When I went to pay, I heard the cashier being incredibly rude to the customer in front of me about paper vs. plastic bags. Also, the food is nothing great. I really was appalled at this customer service, very sad to witness. I will never come back.

The food is good. They will overcharge you so watch your bill. When you explain the overcharge to them they dont care and will not correct it. Be ready to pay A LOT. 7.50 roll quickly becomes 11.50 after just adding cheese and TAX.

Been going there for years now. Very friendly people, great food and their cheese is simply sublime. Great selection of real Italian products and prices are reasonable. Not really close from my place but it sure worth the time and gas to get there. I couldnt recommend it more.

I would say I liked the dry biscuits / baked Tarrali . However - the premade meals are below average ( which happen to be also pricey ) . I have bought a couple of plates today and was very disappointed !I may go there again for their baked goodies - but not again for meals.Havent tried the cheese yet though.

Wonderful food its like going home. Everything is fresh and delicious. You can get imported cheese meat oil...anything you can think of and more. And they make their own burrata and mozzarella cheese. Premade and made to order foods and a butcher. OUTSTANDING !!!
