This review is coming from a 5 year former Hot Topic employee, left in 2018 as Store Manager. I dont visit the mall much since leaving in 2018. Every now and again I will drop in HT to see how the staff is, see if Im greeted properly, and how cleanly the store is. Each time I have visited, I have been extremely disappointed. The first time there were several employees crowded behind the registers, staring at the computers, not saying one word. A few months later, I visited again. Same disappointment. I only got a Hello and the gentleman sat on a small ladder while using the computer. Did not tell me about promotions, didnt ask what brought me in, nothing. The store is bare, Ive never seen it so empty in my entire life. A lot of the top walls have no product. Its not the same as it used to be and Im really saddened to see the staff not do their part. I learned all my communication and leadership skills while I worked here. I was set up for success to continue leading teams and Im really just disappointed that its not followed through any longer. HT, please do better, your team is not doing all they can.

As an elder emo, I am sad at how Hot Topic is today. Theres not near as much stuff as it used to be, its mainly anime & Disney. HOWEVER, the cashier was helpful & super kind & I was able to find an MCR shirt in my size which is *chefs kiss*

There seems to be significantly less merch. Felt pretty bare bones. Hardly any pops or other collectibles. And the shirt selection was weak.

The staff was so friendly here. Were definitely coming back to shop for our hard to buy for daughter.

Employees are so nice. I take my daughter pretty often. The slection of stuff is really good and they have really up to date trendy items.

Love this store, the pops and magnets are totally worth it. The workers are super nice as well. You get good deals with hot cash as well and I love that so much!

The store is stiflingly hot and dark. Not great for those with anxiety or claustrophobia. Issues at check out with incorrectly placed items in a sales area. Management wouldnt even consider just letting me get one less item to get the discount, so I left with nothing rather than stress myself out further. Nearly had a full scale panic attack by the end.

Cool store for those unique items that you dont see every day.

The place had a lot of variety and different sized of anime shirts to choose from. If you buy one t-shirt right now the other one is half off.

My favorite clothing store! I love coming in here to look at the clearance items and getting things at bargain price. I also love their skinny jeans, tank tops, make up and shoes. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

One of my kids favorite stores, I always see cute stuff but I cant wear any of it. I am plus size. They do have some plus size but not much. They usually have a good sale going like buy one get one half price. My kids are always happy to go here.

Cage was very helpful with finding the Hot Topic exclusive item I was looking for. The 80s music mix in the store was a nice bonus. Good vibe store

I love the merchandise collection! Its bold and different. They should have bigger stores with more selection though, everything is crammed in a small space. I wish they had short inseams on the womens pants. The people there are very helpful and pleasant.

Yesterday, my friends and I went the store in hopes of purchasing a shirt. We were greeted by a young Caucasian lady who asked if we need help. We politely said no thank you. As we were look at the shirts, she continued to stand over our shoulder and watch us. Then when we were about to leave one of the employees told her to go check the shirt cameras. As if we stolen something. If this is how Hot topic treats its customers, I will refuse to comeback.

This store always has something that appeals to me. This time it was an interchangeable dragon necklace. The clothing options are awesome although a bit pricey. They have alternative styles here so if you like fan gear and gothic styles its a great option.

Customer service was phenomenal. Lol almost a bit overboard but nevertheless, great job.

Look, Im 39 years old, but always seem to find myself sucked into this store for their tshirt deals.

Did my first pickup order, and it went super smooth and quick. I will be doing a LOT more shopping online there now, with no more shipping charges.

They could use more staff. They usually only have one worker at a time so the line is slow and there is no one l can ask for help. The selection of products is adequate.

For me this was a very unusual store. Being 73 yrs old I definitely didnt fit in but they had the BTS stuff we were looking for. I looked around a bit but was out of my element. I would recommend a look see if youre trying to find a Hot Topic. Associates were very friendly and helpful.

The employee was super patient with my daughter taking an hour and a half in the store. They helped out with any questions we had and with getting anything off of shelves or that was up high. Absolutely love the store!

Can always find gifts for teens here. Not too expensive and staff always friendly and helpful.

This place is amazing if you are the kind of person that loves things odd or out of the ordinary, or you are looking for specific type of tv show wear, then Hot Topic is the place to go, they also sell, hair dye, makeup, body jewelry. You name they have it. And dont let the atmosphere fool you, they are absolutely some of the friendliest people you will ever meet and will help anyone whom is seeking something a little different for their life.

I love Hot Topic. Its a must go to store for emo, punk, goth, and rockers. The employees are very nice and will help you with anything you need.

Came in with my 10 yr old son while apparently there was a guy who needed to be removed present. While security addressed the issue with him in center store the ladies who helped me and rang me up were sweet, sociable and helped distract my son from the on going issue. The staff was wonderful and professional in the midst of some guys bad day and bad choices.

This Hot Topic has the most amazing staff! They are friendly, very helpful, and really fun to look at! LOL however, Hot Topic leaves a great deal to be desired when it comes to their mail order experience never never ever order anything by mail from Hot Topic

Staff/promotional sign stated one thing, but receipt reflected differently. While exchanging items, they honored the promotion of the first transaction, but not the second. They attempted to make me pay the difference. I disagreed and was discussing it with manager on duty. I never raised my voice or swore. Security was called. Right in front of security, the staff yelled (female staff member) and swore (guy with tattoos on his face) at me. I looked to the security for assistance at what I was confronting, and they literally just shrugged their shoulders towards me. The exchange was completed. The two staff members told me to get out and never come back. All I did was question their logic and company practices/policies. Even if I wasnt banned from this business, Id never return.

Love the selection of band merch, wish they would expand their pop culture to include some more vintage (read 90s and 80s) stuff.

Fun store. If you take advantage of the deals you can save money. Got some really great noserings and a Slipknot and husband got a great Slipknot tshirt

Loved this store. I didnt want to leave. It has a lot of my favorite type of clothing. I just love the Rockabilly look, I would definitely go back in time to that fashion statement, lol. Plus, the have superhero clothing, of all kind. Ive had a super hero crush on Wonder Woman most of my life. Kindergarten age, I had W.W. underroos, and I stood up in class and said I wanted to be her when I grew up. Which got a lot of cackles.Any way, I love this place, and cant wait to go back.
