They have the best compost in central AR.

I purchased 8 bags of compost from them and all of them had pieces of plastic in them that of course did not break down. I sincerely recommend you either make your own compost or try a different company. From now on I will always be finding small bits of plastic all throughout my raised bed.

I come to buy a trailer load of the cutoff ends of squared and seasoned railroad tie timbers just before they are to be creosote treated. I have a 7 x16 trailer and get as much as possible in there for $30. If I fill up just a truck bed its still $30. You can load the blocks by hand or ask to be loaded by a front-end loader. You can fit more by hand but it is some more work. Its a good place to do business...

Great prices, not so great product. I came in asking for compost and top soil. They dont carry top soil so I asked what I should use for container gardening. The woman suggested their supersoil, even though their website says not to use it as such. I pointed this out and she insisted. So I bought it... Nothing will grow in it. Its basically mulch and sand. Not even weeds grow through this stuff. And there was so much trash in it (plastic, cigarette butts, GLASS SHARDS). My garden is a bust this year, needless to say.

American Composting has great service, and great prices for compost and soil. A yard or half yard scoop from American Composting is significantly more than what I have received from landscaping companies.
