A great store that recently relocated to a bigger space on the second floor of North Port Commons. There is a public piano on the patio that you can play. My daughter has been taking piano lessons with Debbie for two years and really loves the new store. There is so much space for lessons, practicing, performing or jamming on the patio. Giant selection of instruments and accessories. Huge thanks to the new owners Steven Alper and Sarah Knapp for keeping music alive and well in North Port.

Laid-back and knowledgeable. No Hard Sell here, they want you to know what youre getting and to go home happy with it. Theres also a nice little Studio next door if youre looking to lay down a couple of tracks or maybe do something special for friends and family. All around great place. Lessons offered.Quite a little Hidden Gem

Came in for guitar strings, immediately when I got home two strings had popped after I restrung my guitar. I came back in and told the nice man and he gave me a free pack of strings to make up and told me “those are kind of old that’s why they’re on sale” but when I got home to restring again I had another one break. I’ve played guitar for years and have taken lessons for years, I definitely know how to string a guitar. I don’t see why he would continue to sell these strings knowing they’re old and faulty. I probably won’t be back here.

Just walked in for the first time. I think I met the owner (didnt catch her name), who said they just took back ownership and they were replenishing their guitar inventory. She was super friendly and invited me to play anything I wanted. Although the guitar inventory leaned towards the 80s style and budget level entry guitars, they all looked clean and maintained. This is a huge plus when looking for a mom and pop shop.

Purchased a Sigma guitar, which I was told was a subsidiary of Martin this was Saturday. On Monday wanted to return because the strings were to big and hurt my fingers. I was told to “suck it up” even after I told them I wanted to return for a different guitar. Anyway, on Monday I went to another guitar store where I wanted them to restring the guitar. I was told that restringing the guitar would be a waste of money since it was warped, the strings were raised to far above the fret board that’s why it was causing me pain and their was an issue with the bridge. I ended up having to spend more money on a new guitar. Satisfied with the new guitar purchased from a different store. Just a side note. Sigma guitars made after 2007 and doesn’t possess the Martin stamp on the guitar are not made, authorized or approved by Martin guitars. This bit of information I got when I called Martin guitars in Pennsylvania. So the guitar I was sold was a knock off brand manufactured in Indonesia even tho I was told it was authentic. Also, it couldn’t have been a new guitar since it was warped. So upset I wasted 283.00 on garbage. Will never do business again.
