They never answer the phone. Was waiting 20 minutes on the phone since the machine didn’t understand me. I drove to the CVS and asked the girl if the phones were down, even though I could hear the machine saying “4 pharmacy calls” as soon as I walked up. She said it wasn’t and I told her I had been waiting 20 min on the phone and since they were on, why couldn’t they pick up? She went on to say it was just the two of them… but I’ve rarely even see more than two back there anyways. The prescription hadn’t even been filled, and now I have to wait another 10 min. What’s the point of having the option to check on your prescription through the phone, if you still have to come down here and check on it??? This CVS has been terrible for months now, and Idek where to go for a good pharmacy.
This CVS pharmacy is horrible. They NEVER answer the phone. If you go there in person you can hear the phone system in the background saying 8 calls for pharmacy, 9 calls for pharmacy, 10 calls for pharmacy, etc. Its like they are trained to ignore the phone. Since they wont answer the phone, I find out on the day I am due to pick up my medication that they are OUT OF STOCK (happens very often at this location). The app will only tell you that your prescription is on hold, not out of stock. Due to my work schedule, I am unable to call my doctor to have them fax a new prescription refill to a different pharmacy, as their office is closed. Therefore I have to miss a full day of my medication (CVS will not transfer certain types of medication in any manner). After dealing with months of unprofessional staff at this location, I have had enough and will be switching pharmacies. They do not even deserve 1 star, I would give them 0 if I was able. Save yourself the aggravation and avoid this CVS altogether.
The bad reviews about the pharmacy are so on point. Most of the people are nice enough. But no one answers the phones, the wait times are atrocious and when I go through the drive thru after a prescription is filled they look around for five plus minutes (multiple times) because it seems like there’s no organizational system in place
Constantly have worse experiences. I understand this is a busy location. Seems like significantly understaffed. Service hasn’t been good. Almost 90% of time….no-one picks up the phone. I am certainly going somewhere else for my prescription.
My Dr called in my prescription at 3:30pm i go to pick it up at 8pm and they tell me its not ready itll still be another 20/30 min. after i was waiting in line for 20 min....drive thru closed this place is RIDICULOUS! Nobody ever answers the phone so its not like you can call ahead to see if your scripts are ready for you to pick up, so i waited what i thought was long enough and STILL not ready! Hire people already and its not because of covid this CVS has always been like this just got worse because of covid its unacceptable!
My medication was supposed to be ready for 8pm last night (they told me that hours before). It’s 10:00am the next morning, and it’s still processing. I’ve called them last night, and have been on hold for the longest time this morning as well. THEY LITERALLY DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE. Worst CVS pharmacy I’ve ever had to deal with.
This place has the worst wait times ever. They always has the standard 20-25 mins wait time which ends after waiting for atleast and hour.
Very busy store and pharmacy. Considering the prescription volume, the pharmacy runs well.
Incompetence, slow, loss of orders, etc makes this pharmacy a place not to get your rx.
Friendly customer service. Wait time is ridiculous in drive thru and Inside. There has been 1 car infront of me for 25 minutes and we havent moved at all. 4 cars just drove off. Very frustrating
Why is the wait at the pharmacy so long?? Waiting 30 minutes to pick up meds in the drive thru inside is just as bad. I’ll be switching to the other cvs. Unreal
Good luck trying to reach anyone by phone at this location. I had to switch to another CVS as I called multiple times to transfer my meds from a non-CVS pharmacy and they never answered. If you’re able to go to the pharmacy in person all the time, try it. If not, skip this location.
They are great when u need a fast refill. But they need to answer their phones. Ive called several times to speak to the pharmacist. U can never get through on the phone. Its sad.
Cannot bother to pick up the phone after 45 mins on hold. Going to Rite-Aide!
One hour long of waiting call, still no one answers
This is in regards to the Pharmacy, store itself is fine.If you call the pharmacy, be prepared to reach no one. They will let the phone ring for 20 - 30 minutes before I just give up and go to store. While waiting at the store Ive witnessed first hand the staff IGNORING the phone! It literally just kept ringing.Asked the pharmacist about a prescription and they literally laughed and said they dont know. When asked about alternatives they tried to move us to another line, to just wait all over again. They clearly dont want to work. Find another pharmacy where you feel you can TRUST your pharmacist because I dont.Medicine was for a baby.
Worst CVS Ive ever visited. All of the self checkout machines were down and only a single register was open while more than a dozen people waited in line. Finally got up to the register only to discover the chip reader for credit cards was broken.
Cvs on mineral springs is not doing the covid 19 protocols like they state on the website. Check out doesn’t have distanced tables (they used to but now it’s just more junk to buy instead of proper distancing) and they do not have the plexiglass at check out or the pharmacy and are doing full signatures and full pin pad and they aren’t measuring how many people are in the store at one time. As someone who is immunocompromised all I have to ask is why? Why is people’s inconvenience more plausible than the lives of people who are elderly or those who are immunocompromised? I asked this to the young woman who checked me out yesterday...she rolled her eyes constantly and told me it was for the convenience of people. This is a horrible practice and we only go here because they take my insurance. Somethings gotta give.
Always a great staff, its great that theyre open 24 hrs
Good luck getting a pharmacist on the phone. Everytime I called Ive been on hold for at least 20-30 minutes.
Everyone is super friendly & the store is always clean so that’s awesome
By far the worst pharmacy cvs has. They will text u saing they received ur script. Even tell u its too early to fill. Which is fine and the part i like they tell the exact date it can and will be filled. But then that date comes and u call and they tell u they never even received ur script. So now its fri night. And u have to go all weekend with no inhaler.. Go else where. Anywhere. Just dont fill ur scripts here.
Its not often that I am surprised or impressed by any store staff... let alone CVS. Dee at the register was so kind, polite and fun. We had a great conversation tonight, haha! There was another young woman, with brown/maybe purpleish hair walking around the store with a smile asking everyone if they needed help finding anything, including me and my mother. I saw her assist someone else and walk him to the aisle, talking and laughing with him like she knew him. Great service! The pharmacy was fine - standard service. No line on a Monday night.
Only reason for two stars is the pharmacy staff, always so nice and patient. Ive only had good experiences with the pharmacy but the store itself is the worst Ive been to in the state. It is so unorganized nothing is where it should be or in the same place as it would be in all other stores. The selection of cards is awful and again super unorganized, couldnt find a birthday card for age 16?? Ridiculous . The one female manager I interintend with appeared high and very unhelpful. If it werent for the pharmacy and having to use CVS due to our health insurance we would n go here.
Went to window prescription pick up at cvs in no providence at 11:00 am today The tech servicing the customers was rude and very abrupt I was extremely disappointed as I have been a client for many yrs and usually find personnel very pleasant
Pharmacy so so slow. Inside and out. Averaging 15 to 20 minutes per car
This is the best pharmacy Ive been going here for years. Open 24/7!
The service is good, but theres always a line here (even on off hours and at night).
Takes 20 min to answer phone in pharmacy and always make you fix problem if there are any and there usually is
Why wouldnt you like a 24 hour CVS, right on Mineral Springs Ave...Friendly and helpful staff as well.
The more you spend, the more you get back in coupons! Always great sale items too!
Prescriptions always filled on time and fast
Slow, slow, slow. Prepare to spend a long time in line whether its the pharmacy or front desk. They desperately need to hire more people. This is probably the slowest CVS in Rhode Island.
Not too bad.
Worst pharmacy I ever had to deal with. I often have to go a week or more without my prescription. I also try to get it resolved over the phone, but I get hungry up on or put on hold for 20+ minutes. The staff there are condescending, rude, and do little nothing to help.
These employees think theyre working at SAKS 5TH AVENUE.. Show offs!!!
Great service and very helpful pharmacists
Always friendly and pharmacy is great.
Prescription was supposed to be ready at 7:30 now 835 still not ready. I guess at least this time they have the prescription because usually they dont even know what youre talking about
Pharmacy open 24/7 - whats not to like.
Friendly staff.
Slowest pharmacy in the world
One hour hold time on the phone without answer.. never had another CVS do thisUpdate: 2 months later and same thing, girl working said it’s only 2 of them on staff, but there were 4 in total working. Every other CVS usually has 4 people or less on staff. I tried for hours to call to expedite my asthma medication. I ended up driving there and the phone in the background says “3 pharmacy calls.”They do not attempt to answer the phones but will take people in line without even making them wait 10 seconds. Just like another reviewer said, it seems like they are trained to not answer the phones. It took going in person to have them fill my asthma medication. It should not be like that.
I went there for a flu shot. The nurse giving shots was socializing and in no hurry while a line was extremely long. The patients in front of me were not wearing masks and they were there for covid vaccine and nurse told them they did not have to put one on. She was not pleasant in ANY way and when I asked for a note for work regarding my flu shot she told me I would get an email. I did not receive one and by accident called another Cvs. They told me they have NO idea why I was told that cause they do not email and the kind man at that Cvs printed one while I was on phone with him for me to pick up. Very very disappointed in this whole experience at CVS.
