This isnt the easiest market to be buying a car in, but the team at Anchor were positive, friendly, and eager to help - making for a good experience. We worked with Vinny - he was excellent in making us feel comfortable and working towards finding the right car. Vinny got us set up in multiple cars to test drive and went over the many options and purchasing scenarios I had questions about. He was patient and kind. Also, Anchor allowed us to bring our cheerful golden retriever into the showroom, which made us feel at ease and able to really spend our time there to weigh-out options. To be honest I walked in with bad attitude. Went for an oil change and had to recalls that needed to get done. I didnβt have time to wait to get the recalls done but they were able to give me a rental for the day. Robert who helped me with the rental was wonderful! Super nice, personable, and professional. The gentleman that checked me in and out was great as well. Car was done one time and cleaned! In all my years of buying different vehicles, Iβve never experienced such a smooth, no hassle, no stress buying experience. We were able to work out pricing, a fair value for my trade (some other dealers, ahem Clay were not offering a fair value) and better financing than through AAA, my go-to source for loans. I went to Anchor today for a second opinion, but still not super hopeful that Iβd be able to make something work.I met with Jorge and he was able to get me into a new lease, stay within my budget, and I was able to drive the car home today! I went to Anchor subaru to look at a used car that they had on the lot. Artem was an awesome salesman, he pulled both vehicles that I was interested in and told me to take them for a ride. When it came time for numbers, he was not pushy at all. was very easy to work with. I made the decision to buy the car, and the excellent experience continued into the service department. Jefferson was fantastic making sure the car was ready. Paul Zito was quick and efficient with the finance portion of it. All around great experience with everyone we met. Every employee we met greeted us with a smile and even acknowledged my toddler (who was mid-mischief making). I went to test drive a Subaru Outback last Friday and got paired with F. I found it very strange that a dealership would refuse to give a carfax and instead offered an Experian report. They claimed it is more detailed and comprehensive which is false. I pointed out the differences. F immediately become extremely defensive and condescending. He even claimed that the previous owner could have serviced the car themselves - the reason why theres no history of the vehicle being serviced on their Experian report. I find the claim very comical since the vehicle is already at 87K mile. I will be taking my business somewhere else.ADVICE: Please incorporate Carfax in the purchasing process like every car dealer in this day & age. as of now I will take my business else where.
Iβve been a loyal Anchor customer have had my Subaru serviced exclusively at Anchor. This review is based on an unacceptable experience on 9/24/21 where my 2015 Crosstrek was mixed up with a 2017 Crosstrek being serviced. In December 2020, I was told my front brakes would need replacement during a future service visit. Thus, when I checked-in on 9/24/21 I said I had time during this visit if they were able to perform the brake service along with the other scheduled service. After waiting ~1.5 hours I was called over by the service advisor who said my brakes looked brand new and did not require service. Instead of looking into this further this based on my prior service notes, the advisor instead told me βyou must have taken your car somewhere else and had the brakes replaced.β When I said my car has only been taken to Anchor, he said βthen the technician last time must have made a mistake, but everything is correct now and you donβt need brakes.β He checked me out and said my car would be brought around. A few minutes later, a mechanic came out and I heard discussion about 2 cars being mixed up. The courtesy check and other paperwork I had been given was for the 2017 Crosstrek and the alignment that was supposed to be done on my car was done on the other Crosstrek. The situation was explained, and I was told that my brakes were still worn to a cautionary level but can wait until my next service visit. I ended up waiting an additional ~1.5 hours (~3 hours in total) for an oil change, tire rotation, and alignment to be completed on my car and will still need to have the brakes addressed in the future. I never received an updated inspection report/documentation that was correct for my Crosstrek. I understand that mistakes happen but am disappointed that Anchor did not step to offer anything for this nearly 3-hour inconvenience or to try to restore my faith as a customer. I filled out a feedback card and asked that I be contacted about this experience but have not heard back from Anchor. Terrible and deeply concerning customer service experience
I just bought my new car through Anchor Subaru and could not be happier! This was the best car buying experience Ive ever had! I was referred by someone I knew to see Jorge Navarro and he was awesome! He was super helpful/informative and did not push me to buy something when I wasnt ready. He was very patient with me as I can be a bit indecisive and he took the time to make sure I was making the best decision for me! I would refer anyone I know to go see Jorge for any car and plan to see him in the future for anything I need!
I had a very good experience at Anchor Subaru.The salesman Mohamed Elmasry was very nice,very helpful, very honest, very knowledgeable and helpedme weeks later when I couldnt figure out some things about the car. .The price without much negotiation was fair,in the middle of the Kelley Blue Book range.Other dealerships would not bring the price down.And it was certainly great to be able to put no money downand have 0% interest.My only complaint was that I wasnt told that they had to get thecar from another dealership, so I had to drive an hour up there a second time. I would highly recommend them anyway.

Anchor is amazing. It was time to trade in an 11 year old vehicle for something much newer. I found a car I liked online, was contacted by Amy who arranged an appointment for me to do a test drive and have the appraisal done for the trade in. The Sales Advisor who I met for my appointment was Mohamed. I canβt say enough about Mohamedβs professionalism, helpfulness, kindness and willingness to go above and beyond for his customers. I drove off with my new car the same day! It was easy and I felt no pressure. As a women car buying can be intimidating, however this experience has made me an Anchor customer for life!

Went in for an oil change, asked if I should leave and comeback but was told it wont take long so decided to just wait there. After waiting 3 hours I was told my car was done 2 hours ago and that they called my work to let me know even though I said I would just wait there. Absolutely ridiculous.
Donβt fall for their anchor Subaru warranty. I brought my 2016 Wrx there for a check engine light that turned out to be a spun bearing. I was treated like a criminal from the moment I walked in by Jack and was denied my warranty after producing my maintenance records from reparable shop. Buyers beware.

There was no pressure to purchase. He took the time to explain everything and answer any questions I had. Even after the sale, Peter sends email reminders about upcoming service and checks in to see if there are any questions. Working with Jean in the business office is a pleasure also since he is very organized and makes it a smooth process for the consumer. Overall, Anchor Subaru goes above and beyond to make sure the customer is satisfied. They take great pride in the establishment as is evident in the way it is meticulously maintained to the highest standard. Took my car in for a regular, dealership service- also had a check engine light, a slowly leaking tire, and a couple of recalls to fix. Had purchased the tires elsewhere. I asked that the dealership find and repair the leak on the tire, as well as do the service, and resolve the check engine light. They fixed all except for the tire.Having paid extra for a warranty when I bought the car, I did not think the tire would be any problem at all for the shop. They happily rotated the tires as part of their mileage based procedure, but the service person indicated to me that they looked at the tire and found nothing wrong.I took the car to a different shop and they identified the problem within 5 minutes with a bottle of soapy water, and had it repaired in less than 10 minutes total.There is never a need for a dealership to indicate to me that they looked but didnt find anything rather than telling me flat out that they didnt do it. The trouble is not this simple repair- it is the complicated one. It is difficult for me to find trust in an organization where a quick and cheap repair is avoided, and the team is not straight with me. It makes me question any dealing I have with the organization.

Anchor Subaru is by far the best service experience I have ever had. My 8 year old Legacy runs as well as the day I bought it. My service manager tells me what should be done now as well as what can wait a bit. He is sensitive to the cost which overall, I find affordable. The waiting area is so comfortable with such nice amenities. There have been days where I needed to work remotely while I wait and there is a space for that so I didnβt disturb other customers. I love the online appointment booking and garage doors that open when I pull up. The staff is friendly and the quality of service is consistently great. And when the time comes, I will buy my next Subaru at Anchor.

I have to say I will give them another chance..I am not one for writing reviews like this but am very frustrated at the fact that we purchased a new car over a week ago and they have still not registered the vehicle yet. It is now past the legal 7 day limit of driving on transferred plates and we planned this purchase around an out of state trip. No one will call me back or take responsibility for the lack of service. I just had to rent a vehicle from Enterprise so we can still make our trip. I would not recommend this dealership at this time!

I got a very bad experience at this store. I had a 2014 Subaru Forester. I moved to RI from NJ. I got it repaired from Pep boys NJ due to grinding sound. They said some tire bearings issue and repaired. I heard the sound after couple of thousand miles. That moment I reached out to this store for RI state inspection. This Anchor Subaru guys failed the state inspection for that sound. They charged a hefty amount saying Pepboys work was fault and there is a change in a bearing design. After their repair and couple of thousand miles again the same problem. I feel it worse than before.Earlier I have a Honda CRV SUV for a decade I never faced this kind of manufacturing problems. Its my fate to buy Subaru after bluffed by their safety advertisements.I dont recommend this cheating store and dont recommend Subaru to any one. If you value your money dont go there and dont buy their vehicles.

I got my Outback serviced here. 2 wheel bearings, an exhaust recall, new tires and they fixed my remote starter (for an issue I didnt even know existed and I didnt even ask them about it). All next day. Also they returned my car cleaner than they got it. Everyone had a very pleasant attitude. I hope I dont need to get any car service again anytime soon but if I do, Anchor will be on my short list of good places to go.

Id give it five stars however the girl that answers the service phone is abrupt and always seems to be in a hurry to get me off the phone before Ive explained the car trouble. Once I called because the a.c. was acting up. I was due for a service as well. She didnt hear a word I said and the a.c. was never looked at. Everything besides that was great. Others are friendly and helpful. She needs a chill pill. Youre there from the time you clock in until you clock out. Might as well be patient and thorough.

I donβt normally ever leave reviews, nevermind bad reviews but I am beyond frustrated with the lack of service by this company.This is the first time I have ever leased a car and by how difficult almost every aspect of dealing with this dealership has been, it will be my last time ever leasing and probably the last time ever buying anything from them.My lease has expired on Dec 1st, I have reached out to them multiple times. I have called probably about 10 times, left about 5 voicemails, emailed 3 times, filled out the form on the finance department part of their website. I have started reaching out to them months and weeks before my lease was up.Here we are 12 days after my lease has expired and nobody from the finance department can still bother to give me a call back to make a simple appointment to BUY the car.Every time I have called, I get someone on the phone who canβt/wonβt help me, transfer me to the correct department, I get voicemail and no call back. No return emails. I get a return call from someone who transfers me to voicemail again. Been weeks and no return call to make an appointment.During a pandemic I assumed they would want an appointment first but considering itβs going to be half a month after my lease expired, I will be walking in there tomorrow. At this point Iβm expecting another headache.I also had an issue with a cracked windshield a few months after getting my brand new car and they were unable to help me. I got the warranty but it doesnβt cover broken windshields even though they advertise it covering the windshield/windows. Waste of money entirely. Only thing I got out of it was a hubcap replacement.Also very rude customer service when I went in to ask about the cracked windshield and replacement. Arrogant girl at the desk for the service part. She was talking down to me and even told me it didnβt cover the hubcap part either. I asked her to double check and then it turns out it did. I live 5 minutes away from here and I would rather drive 30 minutes, by your building, to go to Tire Pros in North Smithfield to get my car serviced.
I recently purchased a Subaru Ascent and worked with Ben Rowan. His overall knowledge of the vehicle was very impressive. I started my research and narrowed my selection to two different brands. Upon arriving at Anchor, the dealership was clean, modern and welcoming. Ben approached us and welcomed us to the store. He listened to our needs and went over all the selling points of the vehicle with no pressure. We werent ready to make a purchase that day, so Ben followed up but again, no pressure. We appreciated his relaxed approach. When we were ready to make our purchase, Ben walked us through the process without any issues. Everyone at Anchor knew their stuff and helped us through the buying process. I have to say it was night and day versus the other dealership that we visited and ultimately that helped us to decide on the Subaru. Took way to long to perform oil change. They also didnt perform a full inspection or inspection report.
My experience at Anchor Subaru could possibly be the best experiance Ive ever had at a car dealer in 40 years. My salesperson Patric was fantastic, as was the entire staff. They treated myself and my son with curtesy and respect throughout the entire process. Buying a car can be a stressful experience. Patric and the Anchor Subaru staff made sure it wasnt. They were able to work through any bumps in the road, which inevitably come up when buying a car, quickly and to our complete satisfaction. Our experience at Anchor Subaru was such that I cant see myself buying another vehicle anywhere else. They were fantastic!!!Update: Had my first service experience., top notch 5 βοΈUpdate 3/14/20: Had some minor issues with the car through NO fault of the dealership or Subaru. My 18 year old son went to have them look at the problem. Long story short, they found and corrected the problem. Treated my son like royalty, completed the work while he waited (quickly) one time without an appointment even. Washed and cleaned the car, inside and out. Then basicly tossed my son the keys. Said your all set kid, have a great day. If you have any issues with the car let us know. Best dealer Ive ever dealt with in 40 years. Probably ever! Thank you!
Whenever I take the Impreza in for service at Anchor, it is a very good experience. Im treated with respect by the service representative and am told what is to be done on that visit. When the service has been completed, they tell me that all is in order. Then I drive off knowing that the car was taken care of in a good manner.

Ive had multiple instances of bad car-buying experiences BUT NOT the case with Anchor Subaru. No nonsense. Streamlined but not rushed! I felt as though they respected my time as much as I respected theirs. Grahm was my salesman and I really appreciated his approach. I have been a customer of Anchor service department for about two years as they provided service to my last Subaru and this experience confirms my desire to continue returning for future services and purchases.As I had mentioned before about my previous bad experiences with other dealers, this time I made sure to take my time and be sure to check out every inventory and offer from nearby Subaru dealers. The two other major Subaru dealers in the area could not begin to compare to how well Anchor took care of me. Their trade-in appraisal was higher and their sale-price offer was lower AND they were the only dealer in the area that actually had the exact year, make, model.I have nothing but good things to say! If you are considering purchasing a vehicle, do not skip Anchor Subaru.

There is a long story about what led to this point, but I exceeded the character limit.Here is the short version. After picking up my car, there was a new issue that was not there before that is likely related to something discussed but not communicated well. Brought car back and pointed out issue. The conversation escalated.During this conversation, the service advisor began to get close and lean into the window. My husband said, whoa whoa back up. You are not six feet away. Granted we all had masks on, but it is still 2020 during a pandemic during the week that Rhode Island has the MOST cases per capita in the WORLD.His response, I am immune.We said, We dont care back up.He then went onto explain that he is immune because he already had Covid-19 and recovered. He made sure to throw in that he donates platelets every 8 weeks. (Well, that is fine and well but I dont want to take your word for that and we also know that there are cases of people catching it twice).My husband told him it doesnt matter back up, because you still may be a carrier (one of the concerns with the vaccine) and because we do not know for sure if someone can get it twice.His response: You dont understand science. WHAT?!?! We actually do but that is besides the point. You have no idea what we do for a living or what our education is. But, you just told us we do not understand science. Cool cool.At this point, we realized that there was not going to be any effective communication. All we needed him to say was hey yea that sucks. I see what you are saying. You left with a problem you did not have when you brought it in here to be serviced. Instead, he insulted us. He could have said, what could I do to resolve this? or I see you are upset and that makes sense. Lets figure this out together.So, we decided to leave and that we should bring it for a second opinion.Nope. He told us that he told us there was an electrical issue. Umm you said there may have been but were not sure. And, you never acknowledged that we left with a new problem.I am totally appalled at the lack of service, the lack of listening, and the lack of ability to de-escalate. It should not have been that hard.
I took my 2015 Legacy in for a 30,000 mile check up and for a recall. I paid almost $400 for that. I went on my vacation and was inconvenienced by my car failing to start up and blocking traffic. A AAA worker came to jump the battery after 2.5 hours. He asked me when was the last time my car was checked. I told him last week. He advised that I take a picture of my battery which was about 6 inches away from something replaced by Anchor Subaru. There was green stuff around the post. We called Anchor later, and we were told that the battery is not on the check list for a 30,000 mile check up. So we paid another $268 to replace the battery on Marthas Vineyard. Just thought a battery check should be on the list for items to look at for an inspection.
We are so thrilled that we chose to get our Subaru through Anchor! The staff were so easy to work with and make sure all our needs were met. It was a low-pressure experience and we adore our new Ascent!Weve even sent our old 2nd vehicle (a VW) to Subaru for service recently. The staff were friendly and prompt about keeping us updated, and they found a great fix to the issue!

Just bought a beautiful new Forrester from Anchor. Have put 343 miles on it already and love every thing about the car, esp the MASSIVE moon/sun roof, which truly should be called a SKY ROOFβIt is huge. Feels like a convertible when the sky roof is open.Loved working with Anchor. My sales person took the time to give me all the details I requested about performance, as I knew exactly what I wanted and expected from my next car. I was especially interested in service over time. Anchor has a stellar reputation in this region for their servicing. My detailed walk-thru of their service area gives me high expectations of the service I will receive. Compared with my previous Honda dealer, I believe Anchor will offer me exactly what I am seeking in quality, thorough, and convenient service.Anchor Subaru came highly recommended to me. From what I have experienced so far, I expect to be a happy consumer.
The service intake is phenomenal. The facilities are impressive and the personnel are as thorough and professional as they are friendly. The owner of the dealership was even there interacting with customers and his employees alike.
We went to Anchor on the recommendation of multiple friends who had good experiences. Jackie Lataille was fantastic to work with - patient, thoughtful and no pressure whatsoever. As first-time used car buyers, we went in guarded and uncertain about what to expect and Jackie went out of her way to put us at ease. I had a wonderful experience buying a car here. I was seen as soon as I walked in, test drove a car and was off the lot everything hassle free in 2 hours. I wasnt upsold on anything and I found exactly what I needed. Mohammad was an excellent salesman! I will definitely purchase another car here again.
Josh treated us very well with our recent Outback purchase. He spoke with my husband first spending time with getting the vehicles lined up for us to look at and test drive when I got out of work. He was knowledgeable, professional, patient, and professional. He took us on a tour of the facility, took the time to explain and demonstrate the features of the car and answered all of our questions. Absolutely great customer service even coming in on his day off to deliver the vehicle because we had some circumstances making another delivery day difficult. Excellent all around above and beyond service.

Brought the car in for service and Subaru also did air bags for a recall and now the remote starter wont work! They claim they didnt touch it and they refuse to fix it. Nobody else has touched the car - just ridiculous. Poor customer service, the lady on the call wont even help. Keeps telling me to go to another place to pay for service on the starter since its not Subaru brand.The car goes into the shop working, comes back not working, yet they claim they didnt break it. Complete BS! Anchor Subaru is terrible.
The first time I met Jorge, I knew he would be the person I wanted to buy a car from. After he introduced me to Bob, the sales manager, I knew I would buy my car from Anchor Subaru.A month later, I purchased my first Subaru!Both of these gentlemen treated me like a family member. Very personable, respectful, knowledgeable, but most important was the genuine personality of each one!The experience was impressive! There was a no pressure atmosphere. Jorge listened and was attentive to what vehicle would meet my needs. He took the time explaining each car and showed me how each different feature worked.I was very comfortable with Anchor and will certainly recommend them to family and friends.
Great inventory and service is excellent. Loaner cars are well kept and clean and the building is beautiful. Plus location is convenient wether your from the Worcester area or providence. Would recommend anchor to anyone looking for a Subaru or even pre owned cars.

Best dealer I have been to amazing service.
I went to purchased my car from Anchor a few months back and have had a great experience every time I have gone there. My sales guy Shar was very Knowledgeable and didnt push me into purchasing the car, just talked me through the steps and before I knew it I was driving out in my dream car. Once I purchased the car and it was time for an oil change Patty was my service writer, She was great followed up with me and let me know my car was done and nothing but smiles every time a customer walks in the door. When I went back to get my car from the oil change and general service I had noticed a scratch and dent on the driver door, I had asked to speak to a manager to see if they can find out what happened and thats when I was introduced to Mike. Mike was unable to pin point when or where the incident happened but in order to maintain a happy customer he offered to have the dent pulled and the scratch fixed at no charge to me. He gave me a no hassle resolution to the damage that happened at the shop and let me hold onto the loaner for another day. Once I came back in the following day the scratch was unnoticeable and they were apologetic due to the slight mishap. I will without a doubt bring my car back for service, This was not intended to sound like I am complaining this was meant to inform potential future customer you are not just a number when you go to Anchor. Once you purchase if they make a mistake they will resolve the issue that occurs and treat you like family.
