I was looking for a portable gas grill. They had exactly what I was looking for, same brand and all for less than $50.00! I checked several stores who were out of portable gas grills already and its just the beginning of summer. Stores that had any left wanted over $100! Im a happy camper...thanks Valu!!

Great place to get what you need in a quaint hardware store type atmosphere. Im not a contractor nor do I need to walk a mile just to grab a couple items. I also belong to their rewards program and save money. Every so often I get a $5.00 off card in the mail. Good deal.

After moving to NY state...The first time I went there was to pick up a window screen, another customer (a man)came in right after me also to get a screen. The clerk bringing the screens to us fell all over the guy with talk and chit chat. When he was done talking he finally gave me my screen.The 2nd and last time for me was trying to buy some paint but the female clerk was falling all over a male customer. She took two gallons of paint on a four wheel cart all the way to his vehicle. She ignored me as she walked by. A cashier who watched this mouthed the words Im sorry. I guess they cater to men.I have never been back.

Close to home. Had a $5. Coupon for my birthday. If you need help its easy to get unlike the big box stores. If it is a big item they will carry it to my car. So much better, quicker, friendly then big box store.

Always have great customer service here, a daily larger selection then many of the values I have been to. I have been going to this one for years and will continue to go here for many years to come. My trips are always easy and very quick, in and out, the staffs knows where everything is and if they have something or not. Always enjoy coming to this store.

Very helpful and courteous employees and managers. It is worth checking out your local Valu before making that drive down the boulevard to one of the big box stores. Many times I have found individual items at value where I would have had to buy a complete pack or set at the big box store consequently saving me money.

Always a great experience.. They may not have 25 different types of of the same item but they win the game of customer service. Everyone is willing to help. Recently, an employee stopped what she was doing and personally walked me over to show me where an item I was looking for was. Thats customer service... Always competitive with prices too !!

As is almost always the case, they had just what I was looking for. I stopped at this location while out running errands, so its not my normal store, but like the others, the store was neat, clean, and the staff helpful.

The place generally has everything I could ever need and since Im right around the corner, its super convenient. The staff is great saying hi when you walk in really makes you feel at a good place. And if you say you dont need help with anything they will give you the space you need.

The associate was very nice that helped me with my car lock stuff. I bought two items so I wont have an issue. The cashier a young man was a bit rude and rushed me to full out the rewards card. He was touching my credit card because it was beeping. Dude chill out, relax. Dont rush people it I wont shop unless I really have to.

Went to buy a sheet of glass and have it cut. Floor manager wrote down sizes and quantities correctly and went to the back. After a considerable amount of time he came out with it cut in correct sizes but wrong quantities. Didnt want to wait any longer so took the glass that he had done.

We come in from time to time for random things. We picked up a box of clear bags for spring clean up, a rake, etc. Everything was easy to find, the store was well stocked, and honestly it was clean. The employees at this location need to take lessons from the employees at the Tonawanda location, because they arent very friendly. But, all in all, its a hardware store.

I seriously dont know how this store remains open. I only go there for 2 reasons. 1 Im in a bind and need something quick as they are close by. 2 when I need something very common and or simple. In which case I am disappointed nearly everytime and some of the time respectively.

Has everything I need for a quick trip! Hours need to be put back to normal as my sump pump died recently at 6:30pm and had to wait for next day to replace resulting in a flooded basement!

Evening customer service is lacking. I wandered back and forth while the staff leaned on sale items talking about random things. Cashier was the first person to offer assistance.

Decent assortment of products, prices are a bit higher than some places, but for the convenience its generally worth it.

Just left here. Bought some spackle. Another customer and I stood around trying to figure out where the line began as nobody was at a register. Though 3 employees watched and made eye contact with me. No big deal. Couple minutes later...Cashier rings me out and I notice that I wasnt given sale price. Cashier responds, I mean we can check, but do you really want to hold up the line. So I took it on the chin. Lol. Ridiculous.

Ill update this review: Seem to strike out more often then not, unless its something extremely generic. Usually go other places unless Im looking for a specific fastener which they do usually have and have a good selection. The people that work there will try to find a way to help you and are very friendly, the manager does a good job.

I never have to look very far to find a friendly knowledgable associate who is eager to help. Great customer service, nice selection that rivals the big box stores but with a neighborhood store atmosphere, and low prices as well. Valu Home Center gets two thumbs up!

As usual, the staff, the availability of products, and the prices, and...just a bit more smaller and homier than those huge other stores!

Nice to have a hardware store other than Lowes or home depot to have close by!

Good deals and nice store but i can tell you Ive never felt more uncomfortable being followed around and watched like I was going to steal somthing. How many times is the same person going to ask if I need assistance in different areas of the store. I wont be back, theres so many more options then this place.

Stopped in for convenience to get some keys made. Man servicing me was visibly hostile. I mentioned this in passing to the manager while checking out, and it was either not news to him or he simply didnt care. The reason people go to Valu is not for selection or price, its for service and convenience. Once they fail to provides these, theyll lose the battle for customers to Lowes and Home Depot.

I went there looking for a step stool aisle were it was kept was difficult to find. Thete was no one around to ask for help. Thete never is in those big hardware stores. I usually dont like being bothered when I shop, but there should be someone around whos job it is to help people find things.

Meh....... Abt the norm as far as hardware goes. They have some of the more unusual stuff you wont find at casa depot. But.... some stuff is a steal, other stuff youll be bending over to take home. Easier on the nerves than the big box dynamic duo. Convenience store meets tool store.... And other crap you already have a garage full of.
