Oh my gosh!!! Hands down most knowledgeable guy in town! After having been everywhere in search of chlorine tablets I had remembered this place was here. This will be my 1st place to go from here on out! Not going to lie, having a pop up pool felt kinda weird going into a pool store but was pleasantly glad to hear that they have lots of Intex pool customers!! Ty again for all you help! Backyard Pools is a busy place for a reason. The owner is knowledgeable and listens and gives you exactly what you need. He doesn’t attempt to sell you anything you do not need! Wouldn’t take my business anywhere else!!

Owner was slow, disorganized and extremely rude. After waiting for a long time, he helped other customers who came in after me and was completely dismissive of helping me with a spa repair problem. I will drive as far out of my way as possible to avoid his store in the future. There are much better options.

Jim is an excellent guy that knows his stuff. They have put in a new liner for us, and installed a salt water chlorine generator for us. The man does get busy and can be hard to reach on the phone sometimes, but he is usually a one man crew at the store. Excellent prices on chemicals and other products. I to fell victim to try and find better prices online, which I did but the products were definitely not the quality Jim and the Backyard Zone carries.

I have been going to Backyard Zone for the past 10+ years. Always great service--extremely knowledgeable and honest. They dont sell you something you dont need. Sometimes there is a wait, only because each customer receives undivided attention. If there is a wait--it is well worth it!!!! I will never go to another pool store.

Very disappointed. Owner told us when we came in that he had certain pools available and were looking at early July for install (he’d slot us in). Scheduled to come out for a consultation on June 9th and didn’t show up. When I called him he acted like he never told us any of that while still saying certain pools were available but now can’t get liners. Didn’t even have our appointment that was made a week prior on his calendar. Literally a half mile from my house, but when we get a pool from another store next year, we’ll be driving out if our way for all pool supplies and will not be spending any money here. Very unprofessional.

Hands down the smartest guy in the pool business anywhere. Literally nobody knows water chemistry better than Jim. We got talked into going to another pool place by a friend, and our pool was a mess from minute one. After a month and a half of it not getting any better, we went back to Jim. In one week, without him even seeing our pool, he helped get it cleared up. ONE WEEK. It was amazing! Nobody will ever touch our pool water again. Jim is truly the best.

How are you supposed to run a business when you treat customers with zero respect. Needed a filtration system for my pool, guy says to take pictures and email. Still waiting. After I have called and emailed several times trying to get ahold of them, I guess they dont need our money. The other places at least answer there phone. If you need something done dont wait around on these people.

We experienced years of difficulty with our pool water, until we came here. Jim is extremely knowledgeable and helped us get on the right track to a crystal clear pool. Awesome advice. Wish wed found him sooner!

Guy who owns place Jim was very knowledgeable about pools an his chemicals. Highly recommend him for all your pool needs.

I bought a pool closing pillow, it didn’t hold air. I tried to take it back and they are never open. I’ve tried calling multiple times on different days and different hours, but no one answers and the mailbox is full so you can’t leave a message. The parking lot is barred off, so you can’t get close to the building to see their hours and this site says they are open for a few minutes on Saturday nights. That are not open on Saturdays.

I stopped by this place yesterday around 5:30PM. I asked if they installed inground pools and the guy looked ay me and simply said Yes, but were booked for the year in a very I dont care kind of attitude! Furthermore as we are leaving we have an 8 yr old little girl thats shaking because she has to go to the bathroom so bad and when we asked if she could use it, we once again got a very rude we dont offer a public restroom! This was one of the most upsetting retail shopping experiences my family and I have ever experienced. I wouldnt recommend you buy anything from a company that treats customers like this and has a retail store that doesnt offer a restroom for customers.
