Was easy to set up an appointment online. Arrived and was greeted right away. The service advisor came out and discussed what we’re doing. I had another appointment nearby, so I left the car and was told it would be ready in about 1-1 1/2 hrs. About an he later I received a text saying my car was ready. Picked up and ready to go. All in all a good experience. Will definitely come back again. Always been treated very well. My only complaint is that I didn’t see a confirmation email/text that my appointment was scheduled successfully. Otherwise the experience was great!

From the buying experience in December 2020 (2020 Ascent) through early maintenance visits, Garavel has been top notch. But today was the best. I had my car there a month ago for routine service, and no issues came up. But unfortunately, my battery has died twice in the last 11 days. I showed up at Garavel this AM with no appointment. They checked everything out, and still no issues. I told them that I’m going on a long drive tomorrow, and they checked a few more things. Still no issues. So, they just replaced the battery, free of charge. Danny was the service manager on duty. Customer service at Garavel is outstanding.

Very bad experience and seemingly dishonest business. They had me travel 25 miles for a MINT condition Toyota corolla. I got there, the passenger door wouldnt open as the handle was rusted shut and was part of an unlisted accident. The paint was completely bad as well.I understand an older vehicle cant be perfect but this thing was horrible. They wanted top price from kbb as in the car was listed as excellent condition. I declined to test drive the car.

I had a wonderful purchasing experience. Garavel was very fair in appraising my Elantra and giving me a fair lease price for the Crosstrek.My only reason for not giving a five star rating is because the service fees are very expensive, for example, my husband paid $99.00 for a 6 month service (oil change & tire rotation) on his Impreza and his 1 year service fee is going to be at least $345 whereas the Crosstrek fee for 1 year service is going to $400. These are very hefty fees.

The dealer had my vehicle for over 3 weeks waiting on a critical part to be delivered, but no worries! That’s totally normal these days (waiting on parts, BOs, and OOS issues), and I was more than satisfied to put 1300 miles on their brand new Outback (a fine vehicle, but not my style). It was my first major work on my 2018 Impreza Sport and I have no issues—I’m happy with the outcome. As always, the folks in Service Dept were stellar. I went to discuss lease end options. Spoke to Evelyn who assured me that we would be able to work something out to get me into a new lease. I was 8,000 miles over and the seats were stained other than that my car was in good shape. Made an appt to see Evelyn. Got there she appraised the car and I was told that they would buy my Subaru outright and get me into a new lease. I had to downgrade due to my subprime credit and my budget. I told her my credit score verbally. She went to talk to her manager Tom and came back with numbers assuming that my credit score was a specific tier (this is what the numbers were ran off of). The numbers fit my budget so I said okay let’s do it. Signed a document for the cross trek. Then filled out the credit app. We shook hands and her exact words verbatim were “congratulations we will run the credit app and order the car whether or not you get approved is IRRELEVANT”. So I thought awesome, I’m good to go! I did inform her in the very beginning of the appt that I did have a co-signer in the event I couldn’t do it alone. Everything just seemed to have been done backwards. We were trying to make it work without the co signer but that was probably not a good idea. I should have probably pushed back and pushed this with her but she made me feel confident that we could get it done with just me!!! Simultaneously I had been talking to Toyota of Stamford. Found out the next day when she was off that my app was declined and the ONLY option I had was to finance at over five hundred dollars a month 😯😯😯. That couldn’t have been my only option with a co signer. Sure enough I was right. It wasn’t and I leased a 2022 Corolla and they bought my Subaru….

Traveling from NC to Mass on 15 for the first time in my life and happen to find a nail at the service station. The air pump hose was bad and they didnt sell any plugs to get me on the way. I changed it and headed to the nearest auto parts store. On the way, SUBARU! I pulled in, explained my situation and 15 minutes later I am back on the road. I couldnt believe how well Subaru Service treated me AGAIN. Subaru has great service and great cars. Thanks Garavel Subaru, you made my day a better one for sure. I was interested in purchasing a vehicle from their inventory. The vehicle was used and came with no warranty so I made several attempts to be able to drive the vehicle or have them drive the vehicle to Brookfield to have it inspected by my mechanic. I received the same answer several times that you must choose a mechanic within a 12 mile radius. Being unfamiliar with Norwalk in any way shape or form I would not have a comfort level with any mechanic that is within a 12 mile radius that is sending the car over. Unfortunately I did not find it to be a pleasant experience at all I called and attempted to speak to a sales manager or branch manager and was redirected to the same sales rep I told that that was their policy. No room for flexibility not willing to work with a customer.

I called to test drive a WRX, The sale associated told me there were a couple on the lot. After arriving the sale associated was not available to meet me. after 15 mins I was informed there were no WRX available to view. In addition they dont allow customer to test drive WRX STI.I drove 40+ miles each way for no reason. I never met the sale associate.They were inconsiderate and neglectful I would recommend to be hypercautious with this dealer ship.

We went into Garavel Subaru on black Friday. We were only going to test drive a Crosstrek as we were just beginning our search for a new car. We arrived at the showroom and met with Chris Scarlett. Chris immediately assisted with all our questions. He was knowledgeable and not your typical pushy salesman. We test drove the car we were interested in and Chris showed us all the safety features and accessories.As this was the beginning or our car search journey, we were not ready to make the deal final at this point. We still had a lot of questions. Chris was very patient with us, and worked with us on options within our budget. Chris spent a lot of time with us comparing models, features of each, etc. Needless to say, we loved the Crosstrek Limited and purchased it. Again, Chris was extremely helpful in the entire process. Avoid this dealer. Went in to look at used vehicle. I drove 1 hour to look at a vehicle on a Sunday after half hour before they closed. I liked the vehicle was ready to proceed.I had spoken tosales manager Logan and sales person Chris. Explained I couldnt put a credit application due to refinancing our house and that we were closing within the next few days. I was told to call back the next day after speaking to mortgage company for update and they would require a 1000$ NON fundable deposit to secure the car. The sales manager says he is a man of his word. Which I had no problem with as I was serious about purchasing. Call back the next day to begin finalizing details on the car and the car was sold. Meanwhile the day before (Sunday afternoon) the car needed to go intothe shop and be prepped prior to selling. Very shady to deal with them. Especially Logan. Also watch out for their dealers fees when buying any car. Much better and more honest places to deal with.

Subaru is very safe model I have had no scratches even. I have got some experience with other Subaru dealers in the area but I made the chose - Garavel. When you have so many models choices and so many dealerships the right chose of customer service and the person whom you are buying your car from are very important.
