I set up an appointment to get my car serviced for a safety recall that I received on my Subaru. I arrived at 2pm at the time of my appointment and checked in with Bob. He asked me what time I would need to pick up my vehicle and I told him as soon as possible because I live about 35 minutes away so I would stay around the area and wait. Bob told me he would do it as soon as possible but he guarantees he will be done by 4pm. At around 4:15pm, I pulled into the parking lot and received a call from Bob telling me that they lost my keys and haven’t even begun the service yet. I went inside and told him I understand that things happen but I don’t understand why he waited until 15 minutes after my service was guaranteed to call me when it had been missing for hours. I was told to sit around and wait and after about another hour and a half until they finally came to me and said they would give me a rental car. I told them that I had to leave for NJ the next morning and they finally agreed that they would give me the rental car and I could return it next week. After I finally returned home around 6:30pm, Bob calls me to tell me that they have finally found my keys. Someone had accidentally left them in a rental car and then proceeded to give that rental car to another customer. He said that they are currently in the process of contacting the other customer with my keys and getting them back to me and if they are able to, I need to come in the next morning to exchange cars before I go to NJ. The next morning, I get a call at 7am from Bob telling me that they received the keys and at 9am, I get another call from Bob telling me that my car is ready and has been serviced and they would be washing and vacuuming my car as a consolation and I thanked him. When I arrived at the dealership to receive my car, it did not look like the car had been cleaned at all. When I approached Bob about this, he apologized and insisted to me that he wanted to make it right. I really appreciated this because I told him that I understand things happen and it was a simple mistake, but I felt as if the response to this situation was poor. He told me to call him when I came back from NJ so he could detail my car, free of charge. Therefore, I wasn’t going to leave a review because I understand that things happen and we’re all human and I always give companies a chance to make things right. However, when I arrived back in Massachusetts, I left 3 messages for Bob on 3 different days and I never heard anything back. I am extremely disappointed. Again, I understand that life happens but Clay Subaru did not make any effort to compensate me for my the trouble they caused me and promised to make it right and I am now seemingly being ignored.
Wonderful customer service- they were very honest and easy to work with, from start to finish.
I requested to work with someone and someone else was there. I input all of the things I needed fixed in the appointment I set up, called in advance to confirm the repairs. They didnt have any of that information when I showed up. I had to go over each repair. Thats even they informed me that one of the repairs under my warranty wouldnt happen. And therefore I wouldnt be eligible for a loaner car. They regularly run out of loaner cars when coming in for repairs.
Paula Grimard was one of the most pleasant sales people I have worked with, not just in negotiation for a car but in my professional life as well. The entire process was smooth, questions were responded to quickly and fully. I am not a person who enjoys spending money at all, this purchase has been different in that I did not feel the need to second guess my purchase. The vehicle is much more than expected and I hope to have a long and productive partnership with the Outback. If I could offer an option, the culture of this dealership at least reflected by the folks that I interacted with suggested great things. I certainly appreciate a good decision and I am pleased that I made this one.

Really upset with the results of buying a 2017 Honda H-RV from clay Subaru. The vehicle is almost new with 20k miles with completely worn out prior. I had asked for them to be replaced before making a deal and was told they would look into it to just wait until we picked the car up and said if we had any issues to bring it back. I would but they also sold us the car with less than a 1/4 tank of gas!! And no locking lug nut locks on the tires I’m still shocked with how they act as a business I would personally not recommend them to anyone. Never mind the sales rep. Paula who was nothing than rude while I spend over 20K with her company.

Dave was an outstanding sales man. He didnt pressure nor was he condescending. He really listened to me and my needs for a car that I could count in for being safe, excellent in snow and ice and roomy enough for a moms needs... from groceries, to camping to dorm room supplies. He was considerate and enthusiastic and kind. Sometimes shopping for a car as a woman can be a negative experience but Dave was respectful and had a great sense of humor. Thanks Dave. I love my baby blue Crosstrek. Its been great so far. Im getting used to some of the features but the safety is fantastic and torque is wonderful. The safety is all that matters. And it looks great too.
Fortunate enough to say I had not 1, but 2 incredible service experiences (unrelated) at Clay Subaru. After having service performed by a private mechanic, I took my Impreza STI to Clay for a multipoint inspection and the team was just incredible. Truly! They were fast, knowledgeable, and even had some treats for my pup! John and team were amazing.The next week, I came back for an open recall and was quoted an hour and a half. I left about 37 minutes after bringing in my car. Clay Subaru is the real deal for service!

Went in for to check the Crosstrek. Had an appointment for 430. Got in 425. They called a salesman to help me and he was very friendly. Answered my questions and they gave me the car for a test drive. When I came back they had to call him back and I waited 5 minutes. When we sat down to go through the numbers he had some info but not all of it. Most of the questions were to be answered by the manager. He also asked me if I would what it would take to buy that day. Well I told him I was comparing with other cats and dealers and i had to see what they would offer and how the car was to decide so I wouldnt buy that day but I wanted to know so the details, document fees, plates, etc. He answered most of those but you could tell that he had already lost interest since I want going to buy that day.That is a thing that really bothers me at dealerships.. They dont put in as much or any effort when they know you wont be buying that day. If they did, if have a reason to go back and but from them and then later recommend them to friends.Then the salesman left cause he said he was dealing with a someone who had bought another car, while I waited 20 minutes alone for the manager to do an appraisal for my trade in. Finally they called me to the front desk and the manager never came to talk to me. They told me the appraisal which was 3000 below the average kbb value for my car with its low mileage and for only being 5 years old. I told them that was a very low offer.. Especially since 5 years ago when I got the Jeep, they gave me above blue book max for my previous trade in, which had a lot more miles than this and actually a damaged rear bumper (not just scratches) and I said this cause there are scratches on my current bumper that the person at the desk said would cost them 300 to fix.. And I said yeah..300 not 3000. And still that makes it a very low offer even if they offer the average.He also told me there were two models of the hybrid Crosstrek and asked which one I wanted. Well I didnt notice on their website that there are two models and the salesman never told me this.Generally I cant say this was a great experience because I went in with an appointment and had to wait alone for a long time and also saw the loss of interest because I wouldnt buy that day. Even the manager never came to talk numbers with me. I am disappointed because I really wanted clay Subaru to be my dealer since I live in Norwood. Now Ill just have to check other Subaru dealerships.

We had a great car buying experience with Clay Subaru, specifically our sales person Paula Grimard.We went to the dealership for service on our existing Subaru Impreza and to also look at larger wagon sized cars as we were outgrowing the Impreza. The service managers were very helpful in identifying that our broken seatbelt part would have to be ordered and would be covered by our warranty.While waiting for the service assessment, we were able to review 2 cars with Paula who was personable, considerate and very accommodating to my disability which makes it difficult to get in and out of cars.With Paula’s help we were able to identify that a used Outback was the right car for us. Using a no-pressure approach, she was able to guide us through the test drives and purchase process.Although I have never really enjoyed the car purchasing process, Paula and the entire team at Clay Subaru from service to sales and financing has made this a process I would recommend to my friends and family in the future.We got a great car at a fair price and a no hassle or pressure process.Jim S.
Every time I come here for service, they *dont* try to up-sell me. When I got a ball joint replaced, they asked if I wanted an alignment and I said, Do you think I need one? and they said No, not probably necessary! I thought for sure I would need to fight the up-sell.And they are quick, easy to work with, and their waiting room has WIFI and is comfortable. Ill keep coming here for my Subaru service needs.
Efficient and accurate service dept.I had an 8am appointment, on arrival was met by a very pleasant young womanI believe her name was Amanda? She took my keys directed me to a very clean (smelled of disinfectant)and comfortable waiting area was told my wait time was no more than 90 min.I was thinking pleasantly surprised as my vehicle needed a lot of work.I got comfortable, used the WiFi to do some work.And almost exactly 90 min later Amanda told me my car was done, they were justFinishing up with a through exterior wash!Car looks and drives great, I would highly recommend this well run dealership!

Have gone a few times due to Subaru Crosstrek recalls. The people are extremely kind and helpful. There is an area for waiting around. Overall positive experience despite a few recalls.
Ive bought 3 Subarus from Clay. The experiences were good overall but you still need to be in your toes. Best of all is service department. Very trustworthy and accommodating...whether its a lift to the train, scheduling and pick-up (I go out of town a lot) or holding vehicle so third party partner can service.
Our salesman, Matt LiDonni was professional and understanding. He listened to my husband and Is needs and we would recommend him to anyone in the market for a Subaru!
I went inside for a state inspection but their systems were down.
Ive only really gone here for Subaru recall fixes. The waiting room is comfortable and clean they have a single cup coffee maker with half and half, and fresh warm chocolate chip cookies all free. There are work tables and the bathrooms are clean. My only issue is the wait time. They told me an hour and a half and it took two and a half hours so that could be better
I had a great experience at this dealership and the people they have are exceptional. I started with Edwin the Service Manager who won my business by explaining what he thought was necessary. He also said they will inspect everything and if it looks questionable well have another conversation versus just replacing it like I had suggested. Then I met Amanda who just followed through with precision and a smile. Her attention to detail and keeping me in the loop was better than anyone Ive ever dealt with. She is great at what she does and I would recommend this place to anyone. I felt confident in their service capabilities and had complete trust in them.This is a great dealership and its all about the people! Ill be back when I need service for my Subaru. Nice people. Im giving 2 stars because they are really bad liers. They told me that the engine block of an outback is made out of a rare metal called titanium.
We had a really nice experience. The entire staff was courteous and professional and very good with the covid guidelines. We were able to take care of 95% of the transaction outside, only needing to be inside for about 10 minutes to sign the final documents. We got good value for our trade-in as well.
I have purchased and/or leased 6 different Subarus over the course of 20 years. Clay Subaru is my dealer of choice. They are professional, courteous and very contentious of what I am looking for in a car. I would recommend this dealer over all others!
Tried to sell me more than I needed but got a good enough deal after negotiating with a family member that had experience in car sales.
The service representative John makes you feel that he is working for your best interest in making sure that the car is fixed right rather than entirely on maximizing the companys financial interest. This helps generate the confidence in knowing that my car is there for the necessary and important repair. The work done has been indeed fine. Clay should know that there are outside shops which can do good work with a very competitive pricing as well. So good service representative can be very critical.
The team at Clay Subaru provides the best service, hands down! No reason to go anywhere else.

Dont have your Subaru repaired here. They will give you one price for repairs on one day and text you the next morning saying it will cost $600 more dollars because of their pwn mix-up. Totally unreliable quote.
They start off on the right footing by immediately discounting the MSRP by $2000 + or -, then they reduced the price by another $1000 and lastly they gave me a great price for my trade in. Owen the salesman was a perfect gentleman in all sense of the word, courteous, not at all pushy, very knowledgeable. The only mediocre part was the financing person. He threaten with future harm on the car to try and sell extra insurances, when I told him I was happy with the manufacturer warranties he continued to try and put the fear of future repairs. Not a pleasurable experience at all.
What a great place! I have bought many cars there (at least 8 over the years) and Clay Subaru has only gotten better. The service people are friendly and no problem is too big for them. Even without an appointment, I’m told, “that’s easy”!I had Laura, a new salesperson, this time. She is awesome. I told her what I would like in the car and she delivered exactly what I wanted and at the price I wanted! She was so present and attentive. I cannot recommend her highly enough.Even though I have moved a distance away from Clay Subaru, and there are two Subaru dealers closer to me, I go back to Clay because they treat me so well every time I walk through the door. I’m a happy customer!

I was having some trouble with my car and I brought it in to be looked at. The staff was really nice took my car in promptly. The reason I loved the service was because I ended up speaking to the mechanic Nick. He was wonderful! He explained what was going on after inspecting it. Nick was patient and helpful to me. I found him easy to understand and extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend him!!!

I just brought my outback back from service (done in 2.5 hours) and I was worried about a brake line leak. They checked the brake line, did a service and washed my car- which included tire shine, vacuuming the inside and washing the mats. That was a serious surprise! Thank you for doing such a good job.
My experience was great, sales guy Sean was very professional and very knowledgeable, he made it very easy and smooth, business manager was very professional explain every financial part very clearly. ILL definitely recommend Clay Subaru to anybody looking for good vehicle but not only that but a great experience in the process.

I was surprised that they didnt have dealer keys in stock. It would have been a whole 4 day, 2 trip ordeal to get one. They lost a sale.
Scheduled appointment over the phone to do some recalls. The scheduling process was very easy and I was informed upfront about the pre-requisites, such as having less than half tank full (fuel pump has been recalled). On arrival, the car was quickly processed and I just waited a bit.Overall very pleased with the process and would use this service next time.
Clay has helped me find a couple new Subaru’s now and I couldn’t be happier. The people are friendly, the service is great, and they have a large inventory to choose from. Highly recommend
Ever since I bought my Subaru Outback I started servicing it at Clay Subaru in Norwood, MA. My positive experience with the service department personnel and the quality of work done every time I go there is beyond satisfactory.
Do not buy Subaru crosstrek because they come with factory transmission problems and the dealers do not tell you, I bought a crostrek in this dealer and after two years I had problems with the transmission they replaced the transmission but two months later it gave the same problem, I took it to them and they said they did not find the problem and my personal mechanic told me that the noise I had was in the transmission, they were lying to me because they did not want to take care of it, I sold the car and I bought a Honda the Better option!
I recently had a recalled part replaced by the team at Clay, and I was so impressed with their service. They went above and beyond with COVID-19 precautions: they picked up my car at my home (about a 30 minute drive from Clay) and left a loaner vehicle, just in case I needed it. The driver wore a mask and gloves, and they sanitized my car before returning it. All this in less than 3 hours (and at no cost to me, since it was a factory recall). Everyone I spoke with at Clay was so helpful, friendly and professional. I highly recommend them!
Love these guys. Went in to have the check engine light of my recently purchased 2014 Outback turned off (the gas cap was loose) and they caught that I had a screw in my tire. They plugged up the tire and turned off the light for free; and I was only there for an hour on a Saturday!
Everyone was very helpful and considerate. The wait time was long, it seemed quite busy. The ability to social distance is limited because of the layout of the building. The work done on the car appears to have solved the problems. (This included 2 recalls, an a/c condenser replacement, in addition to contacting the U.S.Subaru offices with paperwork they were requiring for a rebate for a recall fix I had to have done immediately.) A loaner car was provided. They did miss replacing an outdated inspection sticker, but made every effort to correct the problem when I called in. All in all I was pleased with the service and will use Clay again.
It’s rare to go into a car dealership and walk out feeling good about the people who work there. We had that remarkable experience with Matt, who treated us like consumers who had done our research and immediately offered us an *actually* competitive price without all the hassle and awkwardness of negotiations. On top of that, there were no slimy pressure techniques and he really let us take our time to look at options. He was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and overall at-ease (vs the slightly desperate vibe you more often get in these situations!). They structure their commission so it’s a standard rate for the salesmen and it really reflects well in the buyer experience. 10/10 would recommend to anyone in the market!

This Subaru dealership goes above and beyond. They are always very caring. I had a recurring situation with my vehicle. The manager, Edwin, went out if his way to ensure that the issue was solved, even though at first they could not identify the source. He took into account my health and tried everything he could to make sure I could attend work while my car was being fixed by providing a lender vehicle. When I received my car, they had cleaned it and even fixed a light that I didnt even know was not working. I am very grateful for the service and level of care received from this dealership.

We recently bought Subaru Forester 2019 from Clay Subaru. Wens was our sales representative - very friendly and knowledgeable. On Day 1 we were given the price quote and there were no hidden fees. He followed up in every stage and kept us updated on what will happen in every stage of the purchase. On the day we picked up our car, Wens gave us a very very detailed explanation about each and every feature in our car. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE FOR SERVICE. After failing to properly diagnose low compression they ripped me off with a $1000 oil control valve replacement saying well you had two problems and we fixed one DESPITE THE MAIN PROBLEM BEING A BLOWN ENGINE FROM THE CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. Dash cam I had installed myself was taken down from windshield and thrown onto the floor. Two tool bags from my trunk were subsequently taken from my trunk, loosing my entire car tool kit, this had my wheel locks. Wrenches, ratcheting drivers.... everything. Hundreds of dollars of things stole .They dont even have security cameras!!! Dont trust this place.
If you are looking for a Subaru, I would highly recommend Clay Subaru in Norwood. During the pandemic, they took the extra time to make sure the cars we test drove were sanitized and ready to go. Their pricing is fair and very transparent. Staff were all very responsive.
Great buying experience during COVID-19. I was able to find the vehicle I wanted online, then called to make an appointment. The vehicle was brought out ready for my test drive. I watched them disinfect the steering wheel. I was allowed to test drive it for as long as I needed to get comfortable with everything. Arriving back at the dealership I had two questions, one of which was answered promptly. The second involved the sound system and I wanted to come back later and bring my own USB device to see how that worked. The staff was very accommodating and gave me some money off the online price. I felt very much at home throughout the whole process. Three days later the vehicle was delivered to my house, complete with new plates and state inspection. This was an easy and pleasurable car buying experience and I rate Clay Subaru and their sales rep Laura highly.
Our sales associate, Joe Caporizzo was very friendly and very easy to work with when buying our new Ascent! We had our two younger boys with us and he was very patient and even went out of his way to get the kids balloons and coloring books to settle them down while we went over the car details and price. Overall we had an excellent experience at Clay Subaru, especially due to Joes expertise and knowledge of all the different models Subaru has to offer.
I have never had a better customer service experience at any car repair shop! Amanda treated me so well and kept me up to date on every little thing ensuring that my needs were met and even offering a loaner car to drive to make sure that I could get around without any issue. They are phenomenal and I won’t go anywhere else from now on.

After four visits, My external mirror problem was not solved. I finally took the trouble to read two sections of the complex guide book and discovered the problem source and solution. Unfortunately, fixing it requires the dealer to make the adjustments necessary so a fifth visit will be needed which I will not do until am certain that the know how to do it.I am giving them 3 stars because the first service of my new Forester done on the last visit wa completely satisfactory.

Browsing for numerous WRX models for some time. Went to a bunch of Subaru dealers, and due to the high negative equity of my trade in, most just laughed. But after finding clay Subaru, I am very satisfied.Reaching out was easy, as bethann was in constant contact with me. No pressure to setup an appointment, and was flexible to available times.No pressure sales either. Tony asked what I was Ted, showed me in and out of the STI. The general manager went with what KBB was and did not low ball. They are very transparent and don’t try to rip you off.The financing department did a great job as well. In and out quickly, everything was prepared. I had to wait for an hour before I saw finance, but they were busy...which is what you want from a dealer.I couldn’t take the car today due to time constraints so they gave me a loaner for free until Friday.Thanks again clay Subaru and your whole team!

On May 18th 2020 I brought my car in for a routine oil change and tire rotation. I asked about how long it would take for these two services? I was told about an hour. I was thinking since we are in a pandemic it might take 90 minutes or so. But 3 hours later I was still at the dealership.The service manager Edwin was informed about my situation without me even requesting to see him. He came and found me in the waiting room and apologized for the length of time that I was there. He escorted me to my car and listened to my concerns. He told that he would review what the technician said was wrong with car and follow up with me the next day.First thing Tuesday morning he gave me a call. Wediscussed what was most pragmatic and the plan was to take care of those issues first. He reserved me a loaner vehicle while they worked on my car. I was informed throughout the entire process of what was happening with my car day by day. By Friday my car was ready and the dealership returned my car to me (washed, vacuum and sanitized) at my house and picked up their loaner vehicle. This was a contactless transfer and transaction.I would highly recommend this dealership for service and purchasing a vehicle. All the staff that I encountered were extremely polite and more importantly professional. For me when I am dealing with a dealership it’s imperative that I not only be seen but listened to.Go see Edwin and his team for service or Go see Patrick and his team for purchasing a new vehicle. You will not be disappointed!!!
As a first time buyer, I walked into Clay Subaru so nervous with no idea what to expect. I am so happy that Wens assisted me because he was so helpful, patient, and walked me through everything! Not to mention that he took the time to answer all my questions about the car, finance, and possible add on features. I ended up getting my dream car and I couldnt be happier! I went for a test drive with him before making a deal and the amount he knew about the vehicle really stood out from any other dealership I’ve been to. Thank You Val!Last But not least, Joey in finance deserves a round of applause... He did absolutely everything he could to make sure I was happy and got the best deal possible. He helped me go from a 10% interest to 1.9%. With this all including negative equity. I had visited quite a few dealerships prior to haveing the pleasure of stopping by clay. Great experience buying my car. Mike, my sales person, got me exactly what I came in looking for and made the whole process as painless as possible. Brian helped me on the finance end and did everything he could to ensure I got the best APR possible. They both did extremely well doing what they do. Mike followed up and helped me get some floor mats, and also made sure I was loving my new Forester which of course I am!

This was the best cary buying experience Ive ever had. I reached out ahead of time and Mike Brooks was ready with a test drive vehicle that met my specs. Answered all my questions and no high-pressure tactics when I wanted to spend a few days looking at other brands. Once I decided on the Subaru, he made everything fast and easy. Special kudos for everyone being up front about fees - no surprises and all was fair. This refreshing transparency showed up in the business office where I completed the transaction as well. They serviced my old Subaru (not purchased there) in the past and my experience was always great. Nice to enjoy driving home excited about your new car, feeling like you were treated fairly, and not simply exhausted from hard ball negotiations.
My daughter and I went to clay Subaru on Friday to look at a used vehicle and discuss financing options, we were so nervous! My daughter drove away at the end of the day in a brand new Impreza in her favorite color with an amazing deal! Wens and Eddie went above and beyond to help us make this happen, unbelievable customer service, they worked so hard to make sure everything was done so we could drive away with the car that day! We are so grateful for the kindness, understanding and patience they showed us, i cannot say thank you enough. Dog friendly and people with hearts- clay Subaru is a superior dealership! I brought my new Subaru Ascent in for servicing of 3 problems - brakes squeak as if pads are completely worn down (car only has 1200 miles on it, and its been doing it since about a week after I got it); really excessive wind noise at highway speeds which seem to come from moon-roof, and auto function for temperature is not working (car set to 70-72 and just keeps getting hotter - I tested with thermometer and it showed temperature at 80 after idling about 10 minutes). Car was kept by service department for 3 1/2 days. In the end I was told that this was normal operation of the car. So nothing was fixed. Really disappointed and surprised after a great sales experience, and a car which I really like except for these problems.
I brought my car in for a rattle in the right front wheel. They diagnosed it as a sway bar link. They ordered the part they needed right away and I brought it in the next morning to get fixed. It took only about an hour to fix and my car rides like it is brand new again. I have had bad luck with Subaru service centers in the area, but I guess I found a good one in Clay. I will only be bringing my car here from now on. Everyone is courteous and they keep you informed of what is going on with your car, which I was really thankful for. Thank you Clay.
The service department is professional and responsive. They are welcoming when one arrives, have a comfortable waiting area, and they kept me updated on the progress of the work. The only reason I didnt give them 5 stars for this visit is because they didnt fix the problem (they have to order the part and install it on another day). I will definitely return to Subaru for future work.
VERY difficult to rate Clay Subaru. I feel like I had 2-3 very different experiences here dealing with the same issue. I was originally told that there was a 1 time flat diagnostic fee. Then when they could not find the issue they kept asking me for more and more time to fix it. What was difficult was that when I walked in I told the service representative what I had researched and my hypothesis for the problem and he blew me off by saying that the service techs would need to take a look and diagnose the issue. After allotting them about 4x the money and time they had initially quoted for diagnosis I asked the service manager (who I was dealing with at this point) if they had checked that hypothesis and he told me his team has had looked everywhere. Very shortly thereafter he called me back to tell me that my hypothesis was correct and they quickly found the issue. Unfortunately it was then very expensive to fix (but luckily covered under warranty).I know I am not a car expert, but I can google very well, and if they had listened to me slightly it might have taken them much less time to figure this out.The redeeming factor was really Subaru Of America again being an awesome company and covering a very large warranty service claim.And the service manager was much easier to deal with. I think his name was Edwin.
I have been going here for regularly scheduled maintenance on my 2017 WRX and they have friendly staff. They even call you to ask if you need to schedule an appointment with them.Great folks at this Subaru dealership!
Disappointed, my coworkers recommended clay subaru to me thinking that this make of car (subaru) and my self would be kindered spirits due to the type of person I am reliable and a man of my word, sadly my experience with clay subaru has falling short of my expectations, I truly hope they redeem themselves.

Getting to know these people through the Service & Sales process was rewarding - they really care about their customers when fixing issues and in sales, as it took me a bit to choose the right car.
