This review is long overdue & definitely worth reading! This is my first customized latin dress from Shall We Dance Designs! Maggie helped me choose a style and made a great recommendation on the color of the dress. The blue dress fit like a glove and I felt so comfortable in it! Maggie is friendly, professional, creative, kind, honest and answered all of my questions. I truly appreciated all of her time, input and timeliness to keep me updated on the status of my dress! She is the go to woman for Latin dresses and shoes! Her boutique is beautiful, clean & neat! Being in her store makes me fall in love with all of the designs and styles of dresses and provides the genuine excitement and anticipation that comes along with purchasing a stunning dress. I am so grateful for Maggie, she is passionate about what she does and is very knowledgeable about ballroom dresses and shoes ! The owner Maggie is nothing short of amazing! I came to her a year ago not knowing what shoes to get or what my style of dresses would be. Fast forward to very recently I did my first showcase and Maggie spent countless hours and shared her ideas with me to help created a custom Latin dress. It was PERFECT! I couldn’t have designed it better myself. I am looking forward to she was created for me come this spring my waltz showcase. She’s friendly, helpful and keeps to your budget. I highly recommend going to her for all of your dancing needs!

I wish I could give this place a 10 star! Not only did I find costume that fit me at a fantastic price, but when my shoes did not come in on time was able to get shoes that matched.It is my first competition and having someone to help me navigate the world of costumes, having the option to have one custom made really put me at ease and allowed me to semi relax.I already know I am going to be coming back for everything ballroom in the future.

Was looking for vegan dance shoes and this was the place!! They were able to help me out in my need for shoes ASAP but also there are options for more styles and colors if I was patient. Will be back for more. My shoes look and feel great!!

I cannot speak more highly of the experience I had with Shall We Dance Designs! Maggie (the owner) is beyond knowledgeable and helpful.  I recently came back to ballroom dancing after a 4+ years hiatus and decided to enter a virtual competition at my studio, and I was on a tight deadline to get two new dresses.  I was striking out everywhere I looked until I found SWDD.  Maggie didnt have a well try attitude; she had an amazing were going to make this happen attitude.  That meant so much to me as a larger-sized dancer.   She even stayed late at the store because she knew I traveled a distance to get there after a lesson.  I found a Smooth dress off the rack, and she had her seamstress redo the arms the way I wanted.  She also measured me for a custom fringe Rhythm dress.  I had both within two weeks, and it didnt break the bank!  Im already designing my next dress in my head and will only go to SWDD to handle all of my ballroom needs in the future.  You can spend your money wherever you want, but Id rather spend it where I felt welcomed, comfortable, and like I was part of the family.

Wonderful staff, nice selection of shoes, loved the dancerwear! I really like the fact that you can try the shoes and have the option to customize the heel or coloring. My first two choices are adorable.

I have bought many shoes as a dance instructor in between wearing their professional ballroom shoes and everything else doesn’t have the same quality. you can’t buy an affordable pair of stitched bottom split soles with this kinda quality. I’m glad to have another pair of their shoes back on my feet!

Shall We Dance Designs is a terrific place to purchase dance shoes. The website has a large variety of styles of shoes and makes it easy for the customer to narrow their search, which saves time. At times, Ive needed more information and they are easy to reach by phone. All the employees have been knowledgeable and helpful. Finally, Shall We Dance Designs has some good sales which will be sent to customers who sign up with an email account.

This is the best place to purchase Smooth and Latin dresses. Beautiful quality, excellent service. A very wide variety of colors to suit everyone - all ages and sizes.The showroom is very easy to get to. Parking is easy. Allow your self at least 3 hours to view the lovely selection of outfits and try on as many as you want. Mirrors all over the showroom so you can view yourself front and back. No rush - take your time and dont forget to try on all the beautiful, comfortable shoes too. BUY BUY BUY and ENJOY not only trying them on but showing them off at your showcase events.

Ive been sending my students to get their dancing needs since this business opened, we always had the same deal which was %10 discount for my students also %10 commission for myself. Couple months ago again sent my students to shop there, same routine they walked in and mention my name and they said oh yeah we know him and my students started shopping bought around $1500 worth of dancing costumes, shoes etc. Then couple months past i dont hear anything from them i went there and called them and they told me that they bought the business so they no longer pay %10 commission to the instructors. Well i got it. if you no longer have that policy you shouldve contact me before my students go ahead shop there i can easily arrange many other dance costumes companies. Also the shoes Sherry was selling for $20 this new management for the same shoes $137. i will go ahead and file a complaint to BBB (Better Business Bureau) also to the small claims court as soon as possible, very poorly handled business.

Staff is very helpful. You are welcome to browse on your own, the selection is varied in style. Good choice of sizes for all body types. I have purchased, and then embellished more stones on my own, to further personalize my costume. Definitely worth a visit!

My wife and I have been to Shall We Dance Designs several times to shop for shoes, costumes and accessories. The store has a great selection, across a broad range of sizes and styles. My wife is very happy with the dance shoes (at least 5 pairs!!!) she has purchased there. My latin shoes are very comfortable.My wife has 3 dance dresses (2 latin, 1 ballroom) from Shall We Dance. They are all beautiful and well made, standing up to rehearsal and performance wear. Her practice skirt gets worn practically every week, another great find. The store has some fancy jewelry to accessorize with any outfit - and reasonably priced.If you catch a sale (frequent) the prices are very affordable. Even without a sale, they are good value for the money.The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. The owner has great relationships with suppliers and manufacturers of the dresses, so the products are high quality, great designs and good prices.Each time we go, we have to allow at least two hours of having fun browsing and trying everything on. Its no wonder people drive hundreds of miles to shop here.

I have been visiting Shall We Dance Designs for the last 10 months and every experience has been a great one, from their customer service to their great variety of ballroom costumes. I never walk out of there without something beautiful and fit to make me look beautiful.

So we live in Boston, and just happened to walk by while visiting my Dad in Nutley! There are very few places to buy ballroom accessories by us, and Shall We Dance has a great selection of mens and womens shoes, dresses and other apparel. A must for ballroom dancers of all ages!
