Its a nice place, clean, roomy. The food and service was good and in pair with what I would expect from an upscale diner. We just had a couple of soups and a tuna sandwich, it wasnt mouth watering but very decent. Definitely a good place for a casual lunch.
My number one diner. The food comes fast. Waters are friendly and attentive. The food is cooked to perfection and it tastes amazing. We had breakfasts lunches and dinners there and everything we ordered was amazing.
This is my favorite diner . Thr food is amazing.. and they have a great staff and back of the house cook team. The dessert selection alone is enough to make this my favorite. YOU HAVE THE BEST CHICKEN TENDERS AND. BROWNIES . no dinner can come close ... And the TH.E&C on french toast platter is to die for . 5 stars
I once loved the Nutley Diner. Food is good and servers are great. I then became a service dog handler. I have a highly trained medical alert service dog from a service dog program. We are still solidifying his training but his training is very good. He is very experienced in restaurants and goes in a downstay for the duration for meals. We go to fancy restaurants and never have issues. Iโve never had a single complaint about my dog, except at the Nutley diner.First, they always sit us in the same spot, which is fine, heโs out of the way. But later they started demanding he be put under the table even if he was out of the way next to the table. He is better able to do medical alerts next to the table but if he needs to be out of the way he can be under the table. Tonight we put him under the table because he would have been in the way next to the table.When we started showing up we started getting eye rolls from the female hostess. The servers absolutely adore him. Many know him by name and say hi to him each time we come in. They are amazing and what kept us coming back.Tonight we had my service dog in a downstay under the table. He stuck his head out and sniffed two guests walking by (something we are working to stop). The male host said โthat dog just tried to bite themโ. We went to pay and I confronted him about the comment. He said he thought he saw the dog bite them. If an 80lb lab bit someone it would leave a mark. Heโs a highly trained dog and has never bitten or shown aggression or he wouldnโt be a service dog. He stated โheโs normally fine when heโs hereโ. He is ALWAYS fine. Sorry you canโt tell the difference between a dog sniffing and a dog biting.I think we are going to need to find a more service dog and disability friendly local diner because this isnโt it.

I agree with other review, the quality of the food definitely has declined while prices are ridiculously high. Our waiter was excellent, the food was terrible. The fish, though the portion was large, there was no flavor. The pot roast came with potato pancakes but really they were like the little hash browns you can get from Quick Check!! 5 baby hash browns on an enormous plate with 5 tiny pieces of pot roast that managed to be dry even swimming in an odd colored gravy. Im betting it was pulled straight from the freezer. Kitchen Nightmare status. The pizza burger was swimming in grease with undercooked fries. $77 for 3 plates of food, no appetizer and 1 slice of cheesecake. Dont waste your money!! We should have went to McDonalds at least there the food would have been fresher!
Cannot get custom takeout correct. Request chicken fingers NOT over fried to dry cardboard every time. Upset bc of the $$$$$$
Food was not worth the price my โhome friesโ were more like mashed potatoes then fried for slight crispness. Sever was trash. Didnโt even bother to ask how the food was when I clearly didnโt even touch it. The so called manager is just as clueless. Told him about my experience he said โoh. Sorryโ . Seriously though, do better.
Nice place....but the service is beyond excellent. You feel like you have a friend working there. Not 5 star because food is fine not phenomenal.

Food was amazing! Their fries taste so good I was shocked how good the still tasted after a while when they were soggy. The chicken was also delicious. I ordered the chicken and waffles, didnt like the waffle too much tho. Costed 14 dollars
One of my favorite diners in jersey. This place does it well. Favorites are any of the salads. Have had some breakfast items. Quick and speedy service. Good wraps as well. Highly recommend.
As always, there because wifey wanted a charcoal burger and this spot has a flat top and a grill, your choice. My choice was a sandwich you canโt mess up ( so I thought) a BLT. Well, as always the result was as it always isโฆ. Eh, take it or leave it tasting food. The sandwich I thought was infallible wasnโt. Tiniest pieces of crumbling left over bacon. I believe the place has changed hands. Quality and service have declined.

Ordered via door dash Chicken panini; Stale, no taste in the chicken, bread was a roll that was to old but at least they put it on the grill for 10 sec. they never delivered sauce on the side, and they forgot to take tomato out only good and positive was the fries were fresh. .... allergic unfortunately not worth 20+ dollars

Great food every time I go there. Great service. Courteous servers. Diner was clean. Really liked the skirt steak panini it was very tender and cooked the way I like steak. (medium rare)!!!!!!
Service is great here! Breakfast is good. French toast tastes light and has a nice texture. The Syrup however has an odd texture and needs a bit more sweetness. The Hash browns are flavorful and sausage is great!Final thought: I will definitely come back here soon!

Went today for the first time and boy was I disappointed.Ordered something simple. An omelette and a latte.To begin the omelette was runny and the cheddar cheese was still hard cause it never melted. The latte was served in a big beautiful mug but it was more like coffee with milk no foam at all. And to make matters worse I found a hair in it.Did I say something, no. I will just not be going back.

Got very sick today after I ate their Teryaki chicken dumplings. My nephew and I shared the appetizer, so we only had 3 dumplings each, and we both got very sick around 6 PM. I reported the incident to the diner and the manager, Maria, was completely dismissive of my complaint, did nothing even take my name down so she could investigate the situation and report back to me. Totally unprofessional and shocking customer service. She kept challenging my complaint stating that food poisoning does not happen the same day, and making other ridiculous statements.

My wife and I went in for breakfast and were seated right away. The food was good and it was served pretty quickly. The service was pleasant and attentive. I was definitely comfortable with the spacing between seating. I had a great experience and would definitely visit again.

Normally not bad food, today i had the chicken quesadilla. Tough to cut even with a sharp knife. How do you screw up a quesadilla? They managed, and they did not give the ranch dressing. Wont ever order that again.

The food gave me the runs. I didnโt expect that at all. Please check the ketchup bottles I believe the ketchup is expired and please invest in new diner sliverware and cups. I literally eyed my cup of apple juice for 20 minutes to realize that cups are older than I. Scary and Not trustworthy. Yet I needed to a mask to come in there. I definitely was food poisoned ๐คฎ

Not only is the food delicious, this is by far the cleanest diner I have ever visited in my entire life. As I ate, I was in awe of the sparkling glasses, cases, tables, floors and absolutely everything that surrounded me. There are several diners in my town, but I continuously opt to travel to the Nutley Diner.

The food is always delicious and well-prepared. Whats most important right now is the safety and comfort aspect. A large canopy and soft rubber flooring has been added outside and tables are adequately spaced out. Service is respectful and mindful of the times.

Service was good. Food was timely, but it is quite mediocre. Southwest egg rolls were ok. Nothing great about them. I had avocado chicken club....meh. the chicken isnt seasoned. No taste. My husband had chicken Ceasar salad. Same story. The dressing wasnt too good. My daughter enjoyed skirt steak panini- she was content. Good portions for price.

Burger and pork roll were burnt.Waitress took 20 minutes to come take our order and then forever to get us our food (nothing complicated just typical brunch) and every time we asked for something (water/condiments) it took 10 minutes.Take the extra 5 minute drive and go to allwood diner, better service and food.

The servers are good but the manager (male in the cashier) not a good person. he immediately looks at you as if you dont have money. not a very good pr if you ask me. never again will I eat at this place!!!.
Very nice, drinks were great. Although I donโt think their steak was the best Iโve had. They ran out of ribs so I had to settle for that.
