It is always a truly wonderful shopping experience, whenever I go to ShopRite of Nutley. This location is centrally located in the northern New Jersey area. The aisles are wide, and well stocked. The cashiers, manager, and store workers are as efficient in their work as they work hard to create a friendly environment. The sales are frequent, that the already fair prices become more affordable. If you are in the area and need a few items, or want to make a trip to stock up on household goods, then come check out ShopRite of Nutley!

Not a bad supermarket. A little on the small side. The overall look could use an upgrade. It does have two parking lots. Both arent huge but they are serviceable.

Great store, fantastic service, and the best bakery around!

Its a supermarket. With that said the bakery department is what we needed to get some of her cupcakes from. Theyre buttercream was absolutely excellent on these cupcakes. Nicely done were ready when we got there. Down. Lines were pretty long. Try to avoid weekends. Parking extremely difficult

HUGE supermarket, ample parking. No electric carts, so large size a drawback for mobility-challenged. Wide varity of fresh vegetables and packaged dried fruits and nuts, as well as baked goods. Popular with observant Jews. Usually fairly crowded.

Very very small loading docks. Unskilled truck drivers and long nose truck drivers beware

I shop last night around 10 pm. Staff are friendly, helpful, specially the girl who did the self check out, she never complain even if we ask her help several times and the other customers. The store is Clean, well organized, and have lots of products to choose.

This shop rite has a lot of items although limited shelf space for them, but restocked quickly. Great selection of everything from vegetables/produce to meats, dairy and frozen goods, canned goods and boxed essentials. Big parking lot on either side of building and even across the street too. During the pandemic, they always had tp and pt, enough said.

So, I ordered a birthday cake for my sons 3rd birthday... Airplane theme. The gentleman I placed the order with was nice; he said they may not have that airplane to put on top of the cake but they can put smaller ones, so I said fine. Picked up the cake on Saturday for the party that was in 2 hrs. Cake looked nothing like the picture I emailed. Therewas no airplane on top of the cake. Just nothing. The older White lady that was there when I picked up the cake around 3ish, 4pm, was rude & dismissive. If the party was not in 2 hrs, Id leave it there. I sent an email to the address I emailed anouc of the cake to & still no acknowledgement. Will take my business elsewhere in the future.

People that work there, always nice and helpful. Find most of the things Im looking for. The times were in, there are some empty shelves.

Ive been shopping here for years because its close to home and the prices are great. My main complaint are the horrible shopping carts. Ive made complaints about them for years but nothing has ever been done. They are ALL in very bad shape. I feel bad for the elderly having to struggle pushing those carts with wheels that are broken. Please get new carts Nutley Shop Rite! Its long overdue!

Disgusting store experience with manager on shift at 7:07 pm on 9/11/21 at store 437 Franklin Ave, Nutley, NJ 07110Ran out after me accusing me of stealing because I used a basket instead of a shopping cart. After seeing my LONG receipt, he couldn’t even apologize for the mistake. The only thing he could could say was “they saw you walk out with a basket” . . . Baskets for customer use ? I didn’t know my preference for basket vs shopping cart insinuated stealing. They saw me walk out with the basket but not wait for 35+ minutes to check out my items ? Not watch me insert my card and pay for all my items ? He then proceeded to stand with me at my vehicle stating, “we just need the basket back”’ while I unloaded my groceries. Huffing and puffing (due to not being physically fit to actually run) with no mask on either ! I thought the store required masks ? So I didn’t steal my groceries but now I want to steal a dusty shop rite basket ? I can’t return it to the cart return like every other customer ?!I’ve contacted upper management.

Wide selection with very affordable prices. You can just about find anything that you need. Very clean and sanitary...

Nutley Shop Rite is a great store..and I miss not shopping there anymore.. Im in Monmouth County now..and the Freehold Shop Rite Is a disappointment and should learn some lessons from NSR..

I went to this ShopRite on Oct 13 to order a birthday cake for October 15, pickup tome 3pm, when I got there October 15 3:08pm, the Associate I met told me they could not find my order and moved on to see another customer, she later got back to me who got the manager to help me, he said the truth is we cannot find the order and just lead me to the other cakes trying to convince me to buy one of them, no association was made with the fact that I ordered a special cake becaue I wanted a customized cake, it was like my order did Not mean anything at all so I should move on .it was my daughters 10th bday and we had our family gathering to cut her cake after school. There was no cake to cut, ( kids disappointed)now u tell me how do you tell a s 10 year old that the cake you ordered, was never made by the store?? This ShopRite is a very unpredictable place to order a cake for special events as they will disappoint you and make it LOOK Like NOTHING HAPPENED. Be warned if u shoping customized cakes from here. Call a 1000times to make sure your order is in or u are DOOMED!! This store is not a RELIABLE place to shop your special birthday cake. They will disappoint !! Be warned!!

A week ago a had a terrible experience where my Google pay debit my wrong account. In addition, there were other factors which made this situation a nightmare. I was very disappointed in the way an employee handled the situation. However, Cindy the GM took ownership of this matter. She used humanity and compassion to turn a bad situation in a positive experience. I believe there are few people that look for solutions, Cindy made the difference. I hope corporate recognize the qualities she has to offer. Thank you for showing me kindness.

Ample parking. But not handicap friendly. You have to walk a distance to get into or exit the store.

It used to be better. Lately, a lot of the products and services have gone downhill.

My sister and I are long time customers of over 20 yrs. Recently we started helping a man who could not afford to feed his cats during the pandemic by purchasing cat food twice a week. There are 2 cashiers that had an issue ringing up our cat food; making faces and asking how many cats do we own...Most recently we were on line 15 mins when the cashier abruptly said she was closed after the customer in front of us...she obviously wanted us to find another line and wanted no part of ringing up our order. She actually shut her light...The customer in front of us also said that was wrong and rude...A second cashier who had been bagging on another line came by but threw down her bags when she saw it was us...A nice young boy rang us up ultimately and we bagged....We called management to complain and stated we would no longer shop there...He said he would speak to them but I expected more from him as he sounded somewhat indifferent...Needless to say the store will no longer be getting nearly $500 a week from our business...

Sufficient, not a bad experience. Went there on a Saturday and it did the trick for what I needed!

Been doing my shopping at Shoprite for years. Standard of their merchandise is always good & fresh due to their big turnovers & their checkout & bagging services are fantastic. One never has to spend too much time standing on line.

My Nona and Nono visited this Shop Rite not too long ago and were yelled at by an associate for not knowing how to speak English. They are the nicest people ever, will feed you and give you the last dollar from their pocket. Can someone please explain to me why they were yelled at for not speaking English? Shop Rite in Nutley having a race issue? I want answers yesterday.

Went to West Orange shoprite yesterday people were waiting out out, I was preparing to shop without waiting and was not properly dress. Went to Nutley where I have been shopping, near my doctors appointment found that it was nice to shop. Drove there and did not have a problem. No waiting outside and there always well stock with merchandise. Not enough parking. But I think they might have another parking area

Its a decent ShopRite. It would be great if theyd carry more Organic produce and food however!... I have to change my review from a 4 to a 1 because of their deli department! I like the convenience of ordering my cold cuts online. The first time I did, I was disgusted with the thickness of the ham and the fact that I asked for my provolone to be shingled, and it was not. Slice everything Thin and Shingle the cheese please! Nope, too hard for them to accomplish. I never planned on doing that again..ordering online! But, I did! Second time, beautiful! Everything was just the way I asked it to be!! Now, yesterdays order! Probably worse than the first order! Never again!! Ill spend my money at Violantes next week! The drive to Cedar grove will be worth it!

Nice place to shop. My wife wanted some store brand flavored seltzer but they didn’t have any on the shelf. A manager whose name was Eric ( not sure if that was his name but he seemed like an Eric or a Kevin ) he said “come back here when your done shopping I’ll go upstairs to the warehouse to get some” and he did. Also the cashier had the coolest nails ever.

Great supermarket. Very big store with so many varieties of food. All types of fresh salad bars and other fresh prepared food. Most importantly, great prices and sales and the staff is always helpful and courteous.

This ShopRite is so AWESOME. Every single aisle is very organized, the produce section is clean and inviting. The deli counters and salad bar are always clean and properly arranged with delicious food. The staff is extremely friendly and parking has a strategic ease of flow. AND their bakery department is phenomenal.... Superb to say the least.

As I went to enter ShopRite 10 minutes before closing a tall skinny slender man with glasses and dark hair around 50 years old stop me like a very disrespectful security guard. I told him I just need to get juice right in the front aisle and for my kids. He told me registers are all close as I see people paying for their items and self check out also open I see through the window he would not allow me in with still 10 minutes to close I could’ve easily got the juice and paid for it with an under 60 seconds. I will not be taking my business back to this place even though it was convenient for me I’d rather not deal with all the older men that stand around staring at the women instead of doing their job and stocking shelves or whatever they do and hear them cursing to each other numerous times very unprofessional people there. I would spend 100 dollars a day there but not any longer.

This store is always clean and organized and well staffed. Never have to wait very long to check out. Super Wal-Mart may be cheaper but my local ShopRote is more convenient and pleasant

I ordered online and they sent me half of my order with expired food, I called wake fern to complain they said the store manager would follow up. He called and the second he realized customer service isn’t always going to have happy customers he hung up on my face for telling him he clearly doesn’t know how to run his store if his inventory is so messed up he’s selling expired food to people, do not go here . I’ll be standing outside with signs, I’ll even pay people and take them to stop n shop just to not help this shoprite for the actions of the store dismanager. Completely unprofessional and clearly doesn’t care about his customers. His name is KarimI’ll be calling corporate and wake fern to hopefully fix our current common issue. Let’s hope they can hire someone who knows what they’re doing not Joey bag of doughnuts cousin. shoprite customer service has been great other then this cheese head, hangs up like little girl

This place didnt feel like all the other shop rites Ive been to...it seemed like a regular local supermarket..Ive changed my review to add a few updates ..or should I say suggestions. Went back today and my wife purchased flowers or a plant and most of them looked like they need a green thumb, to keep them going. As for the store it has potential so I think they should rearrange the entire store to make it better accessible when its crowded not enough room to push your cart around.

The quality, friendly service at this location has been disappointing us for the past month. Our first biggest gripe is this store no longer wipes down / sanitizing shopping carts. That would be no big deal except ShopRite does NOT provide sanitizing solution or wipes when shoppers walk in and now we have to push a dirty cart or provide our own wipes to shop here.Stop & Shop and most retailers welcome safe shopping by keeping their customers safe. I wish you would as well.SincerelyA shopper wanting to be treated better.

I like this place . They have organic options available in vegetables and fruits . But sometimes I found the packed organic vegetables are rotten when checked at home . Sometimes we go back for return and sometimes I get lazy to back to the store for exchange or return . They don’t organic potato’s and onions that’s a minus too .

I went there for the first time. A male worker assisted me on the self checkout process. He wasn’t even wearing a mask.I wore my mask, but this is a safety concern. I hope all the workers will comply to the State policies being implemented for everyone’s safety. Over all, I like the place but the non compliance of this worker made my rating a bit lower.

Went to buy Milk, Greek yogurt, Aloe vera drink. I couldnt find Aloe vera drink but the employees were very helpful.

This is a very nice store with bad parking. Once you are inside it all changes. The produce department is very fine. The deli and prepared foods really show they care. The store is clean, easy to navigate. The employees are all nice, helpful and have genuine customer service. Nice job Shoprite

Love the variety of meats and items. It just feels too crowded and during this pandemic there isnt any social distancing nor lines on the floor to indicate the distancing. Everyone gets close to you.

If you want a beautiful and tasty cake you will not be disappointed with the Shoprite Nutley Bakery Dept. They do a great job! Every cake I order I get compliments.

Worst store in the chain. Went to the deli counter, got #22 from the dispenser, working on number 18. there were 4 people behind the deli counter. IT TOOK 21 MINUTES TO GET MY ORDER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Only supermarket in town and ownership/management knows it and doesnt seem to care. Constantly out of stock on things(even the store brand), things priced incorrectly or in the wrong spots on shelves etc. I have finally had enough and am switching to Stop and Shop

Local supermarket in the center of Nutley, NJ. You can find pretty much anything you need for American cooking style as well as other unusual things like borata and tzatziki. There is also a Mexican or international isle with tortillas among other things.

They have the best butchers shop and the best cold cuts.

I went to Shop Rite thismorning at 7:30 in the morning, although there was a line I was very impressed with how organized it was. I had been to several places during the week and it was not a good experience so I really have to say that all though there were lines everyone was very understanding and trying to help us out. Thank you so much because I left with a good feeling and not stressed out. 👍😊

This ShopRite is a great store. It still has that old supermarket feeling when I was a kid. The layout is great and plenty of employees to assist you. The deli and hot foods have great selections. And best of all, lots of parking and the store is clean.

One of the only supermarkets around that still have baggers and many staffed checkout lanes. The employees are all very nice and the store is well stocked. Parking can be a bit hectic during peak times so I recommend parking in the lot across the street or the one next to the laundromat.

This ShopRite is super clean and generally well-stocked. Parking distance to the front door is the only reason I didnt give five stars: its a hike, haha

Fast and easy place to shop

Really good! Love the variety and cleanliness. The deli is also very good, and the staff is super helpful. You can also get really good food at the buffet. I wouldnt look anywhere else to get my groceries.
