Mai at Fantastic Sams in Oakdale gives the best haircuts. I never regret going to her. Shes patient, thorough and fun to chat with. I also had her wax my eyebrows last visit and she did a phenomenal job. Id recommend her to anyone!

She was very rude while cutting my hair and very unpatient. She rushed cutting my hair and it looks horrible i asked to trim my curtain bangs and she turned them into straight accross bangs. My hair looks very bad now.

Mai is the most AMAZING hair stylist I have ever had!! I havent been to a salon in about three years and never been to a Fantastic Sams before. Mai cut my hair exactly how Ive always wanted and picked the most amazing shade of blonde for my highlights!!! I cant be happier!! She is a gem!

Went here to get my hair done for my wedding and the curls barely lasted past walking out the door. 😕 Im not saying it was a bad experience, but, when the lady was curling my hair she burnt me like 3 times because she kept checking her phone.

I’ve been going here for years but unfortunately I will never come back. I went in saying what I wanted and they changed the pricing on me when it was done..She did a bad job and she didn’t do what I asked for! Now I have to go and have it fixed.

I went here a year ago to get my hair colored. It was great then.. I came back to get my hair done. I scheduled an hour and half section. Just needing my roots bleached out. Well my stylist was 40 minutes late and then refused to do the service because she was suppose to be off in an hour and wouldn’t have enough time to complete it. Very unprofessional.

This has been my place of choice for a haircut for years. The staff is amazing. I was lucky enough to find a place where I trust all the staff to do an excellent job although I do have my favorite stylist. It’s worth the extra money for the hair washing afterwards. Ive been going to this salon for several years and will not go anywhere else! I have fine, thin hair and getting it colored can be a challenge unless you find someone who really knows what theyre doing - which is what I have found at this salon.No matter what time of day, this salon is such a relaxing place, and the atmosphere is always cheery and upbeat. The stylists are friendly and fun to visit with. You cant go wrong at this place, I promise you!

I chose the Oakdale Fantastic Sams today because of location, but when I left...not only did I have a great cut, but I knew that I would be back. Ashley addressed all my questions and concerns. She gives great scalp messages, suggested great products and how to use them and didnt apply high pressure tactics to purchase in-store products. Shes a great conversationalist and her spirit is fun and uplifting. I think this salon deserves better ratings and is worth the visit.

Been going here since it opened. Always receive prompt greeting and check in. Wait time estimation is generally accurate. Many different stylists have worked here over the past 10 years and not once have I observed any of them being rude or discourteous to customers. I would recommend this Fantastic Sams salon to anyone looking for a hair cut.

Went here today to get a long bob. Asked for 1/2 inch taken off in the front and 2 inches in the back. I wanted a more dramatic difference. Left with 4 inches gone in the front... My hair was well past shoulder length when I went in, I had plenty of hair to achieve the style I showed the stylist. My hair is now just UNDER MY CHIN. Very disappointed, I was really looking forward to trying this style and now I will need to wait at least a year for it to grow out to where it needs to be to achieve the style I originally wanted.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Mai is taking care of me today and I am going to look awesome when I leave. Every stylist here is very talented. I have been coming here for over 5 years!

You can get a good haircut at most Fantastic Sams. This one gets hurt by a seemingly higher turn-over of its stylists and a location that tends to be slower. They also have adjusted hours in unique ways over the years, cant blame them for trying to make the location profitable, but it definitely doesnt help the reliability of their online listed hours arent accurately reflected.

Never gotten a hair cut here because every time I go they tell me it will be an hour and a half wait. Drive the extra 10 minutes and go to the Woodbury FS.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. First time I came here they somehow forgot to put my name on the list. I waited for an hour before being helped. I decided to give them a second chance today. Big mistake. The lady that put my name down told me 15 minutes wait, and an hour and a half went by without my name being called. I wont be back here again. Waste of my time.

Ive gone to this salon for years... The last 2 times Ive gone in and told the stylist exactly what I wanted. Both times leaving with something different. I have short hair - I called the salon and explained the last cut on 4/23 left me with spots that were almost bald and my wax was terrible. The stylist put a ton of product in my hair and I didnt notice the spots until I washed it. I was told I can come in again to have them look at my cut and try to fix it. NO Im not going back I dont have time. I am a single parent that works and goes to school. I go in when I can... Id have to take time off work to go in with in the next 2 weeks. Im not going back to this place again! DONT waste your money here!

Went to get my hair cut there today around 5:30pm and I should had listened to my gut feeling and walked out before it was too late. I wanted to save some cash so I decided to come go to FS after not going since I was in high school? But I needed to cut my hair so I went. I went in and there was only one hairdresser working, one...most definitely understaffed. I awkwardly sat down and waited as she was finishing up the person before me. No greeting whatsoever but I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt but I am too trusting which led me to my down fall and this mediocre haircut.Long story short, I left the place with soaking wet hair because she didnt bother drying so I could see the finished result. More people started coming in, one lady actually left, and she basically rushed me out of there because she was the only one in the salon. I was probably in the chair for only 10 minutes. My haircut was nowhere near the photo I showed her. I had long strands of hair left that was not even cut from the back...my hair was pretty long, it was half way down my back and I was cutting it up to my shoulders. The front was uneven because the left side was longer than the right and the layers dont look like layers. I came straight home to and fix my hair and washed it out because there was still a lot of conditioner in my hair. I def need to get it fixed up.Was it worth saving the extra cash? Nope. Should I have listened to my gut? Yep. Lesson learned. I guess Ill just suck it up and go to high-end salons where they actually take their time and consult with you. Not returning any time soon, like ever again.

Everytime i come in for a cut i see Draya shes a great stylist. All of the stylist are friendly and professional. Its a very chill salon and there is never a long wait.
