I have a 2002 Honda Accord and it had a long crack on my windshield. So I decided to make an appointment with safelite autoglass. The technician was in-specting my vehicle at my home and shouldve check if my vehicle had bad rushed on it and that if it did. He shouldve of never took my windshield off. He said he checked the vehicle and it didnt show any signs of rushed. Once he did take if off. He called and said that its too much rushed that he allowed to do so. So he said he wont be charging me for anything. He recommended that I take it to a auto mechanic and if they can fix the rushed he can fix it there. So I ask if he can place my old windshield back and he said he cant place my old windshield back on the vehicle because of the rushed and I wont be able to drive it. So I called my mechanic, He said to ask him if I can take my old windshield back. So I ask the technician and he said, sorry I cant. So he ask if I would like him to cover it with a plastic wrap. I was like, YES Please. Thats just make no since that I cant get my old windshield back. Now I cant go to work until I can found a windshield for my vehicle and get it replaced. Sorry for the messages. Im just frustrated now.

Service was fast, only thing good. BUT I found silicon on my driver seat and hand print on my rear seats, I know its a new hand print since no one ever sits in the back seat of my car and is usually covered in dust except a silicon oil hand print, my engine bay area is actually missing the rear hood seal since it was never put back on (seal goes under the wind shield, between hood and window to keep water from going in to engine bay) my car is only 1 year old so I knew something didnt sound right (constant wind noise and engine noise in the cabin) when I was driving on the freeway, once I got home and popped the hood I see the seal is missing.

I went in today to get my windshield repaired but I was a little skeptical due to the reviews this location has but I decided to go anyways because I was in desperate need of getting this repair before it got worse and my windshield would have to be replaced. I must say the lead technician Alvaro helped me out and I was out within 45 mins. He was very professional and explained everything before repairing the crack in my windshield which I must say was a nice size so I didn’t have to get a replacement and was very thankful.Also my insurance covered the cost which was nice 👍 thank you Alvaro

Jose was great! I was worried I was going to need a new windshield, but the shop was able to repair the chip I had and have me on my way in under half an hour.

I’m extremely disappointed in the service of this company. My husband called to get his back and front windows replaced after someone kicked them in. Durning the process of setting up the appointment the woman helping didn’t know how to use a computer and then decided to book us for an in person appointment close to an hour away. After trying to call multiple times the company kept hanging up on us until I just decided to call to talk about something. The person on the other line didn’t understand that we needed BOTH windows replaced and couldn’t understand that we have a Scion TC. I’m so disappointed since this company says they have great customer service.. but we haven’t seen it. Nor have we been helped fully since they kept pushing our appointment out for no reason.

Not impressed. They left gaps in the windshield molding.

I am truly grateful for the people at Safelite and the experience I had today. The office staff was friendly and helpful. But it was Alvaro who went above and beyond to make my experience better than I could have hoped for. He was so incredibly nice and really lifted my spirits (which is hard to do after having your window busted out and your car robbed). Honorable mention goes to Jose who also took time to make my experience an unforgettable one. These guys are one of a kind. Not to mention the service was quick and flawless. I highly recommend this Safelite location.

I would have given 5 stars if the mobile unit tech had pointed out to me the warped cowl panel that did not sit flush to the new windshield after it was installed. They ordered a new pane for me, which I paid for and they installed at no charge 2 weeks later. But I wish the tech had pointed it out rather than leaving me to find it on my own, which madee wonder if it was shoddy work. They said it was wear and tear...ok, Ill give them the benefit of the doubt this time.

Fantastic experience. Ive never had a car maintenance/mechanic/autobody shop go to the extents they did to make this a good experience. First off, the job performed was done very well. Second, I have personally vacuumed my car, taken it to professional cleaning, and had other places kindly vacuum it out - but it never is fully clean or gets everything. But after this tech vacuumed my car it looked brand new. My daughter tried for a long time to find anything on the carpets - nothing found. This is way above and beyond. Third, no place is perfect and upon dropoff there was some confusion resulting in a long wait for me to get checked in - they jumped on it right away and found a creative way to make it right. All around fantastic experience. 5/5 stars.

I was referred by my insurance company to go here. They came to my house and fix the window but they did not replace the rubber that goes around. I asked a guy about the rubber around the window. He told me that it wasnt supposed to be no rubber there. So I took it to the dealer and they told me that the rubber was supposed to be there. Then I take it back to Safelite and they fixed it but I will not be returning there and I will be reporting this to my insurance company.

This location was incredible. I made my appointment and was done in 30 minutes. Great staff especially the front desk and technician. Make sure you check them out if you have issues with the glass in your vehicle.

Average performance. Nothing stands out, but they were in fact efficient and quick to get me and my fiancé out the door. They were also fully aware of the city ordinances on health care and maintenance. They limited the Libby to one customer at a time with a 6 foot distance. I can appreciate that.

Getting my window smashed was unfortunate, and finding OEM replacement glass for it was difficult to say the least, but the team at Oakland Safelite were beyond helpful. Worst customer service EVER! The receptionist is rude. They dont even have water bottles, coffee, or any type of snack in the waiting room. Technicians left pieces of broken glass in my car. Go there if you wish to be disappointed!

I enjoy Safelites service from various branches, however, this particular Safelite left glass from a broken passengers window all throughout the vehicle. It was in the vents, the door interior, almost embedded in the seats completely, and all over the floor under the seats. They did a terrible job inside the vehicle. Although they did get the glass from inside the door out, the rest of the job required more cleaning and was not done satisfactory. I suggest making the distant trip to redwood city or any other Safelite branch in San Jose vs this Oakland location. Lack of attention to detail found here. Stay safe. CLEAN YOUR VENTS WHEN GLASS IS BROKEN!

Came in today (12/21/19) for my scheduled appointment to fix my front windshield at 10am and was able to leave about two hours later feeling good about my experience from Safelite AutoGlass located on Broadway in Oakland.The staff were super nice and friendly. Julio, the technician, was top-class in walking me through the pre-inspection, how long the process would take, and gave me a review of what he did after the job was completed. Any questions that I had, he answered.After the front windshield was replaced (as well as installing brand new windshield wipers and the inside vacuumed too), should anything go wrong with any glass damage moving forward, I know Ill be coming back.

The came to my home regardless of distance to fix our car window. The appointment was scheduled 2 days out from when I called. They vacuumed out all the broken glass from the break in/ vandalism and cleaned up after themselves entirely!

I had a chip in my windshield repaired on my 2015 Toyota Sienna van. Ashley, the technician showed up at the promised time and was very professional, efficient and courteous. Their lead technician did a very sloppy install on a warrenty job repairing their initial leaking install which caused extensive water damage to the interior of my vehicle. The last install left me with uneven split weather stripping, a scratched roof, and glue residue. I acknowledged the scratch upon pickup in which he attempted to buff it out to no avail. I took time stamped images of the damage and made a complaint which has gone unaddressed for months. He then had the audacity to ask me to fill out a quick survey giving him a good review. Thanks for the depreciation to my vehicle. Great work yall

Went in for a crash wrap for my knocked in window after the crash wrap put on by Safelite Reno came off after less than 3 hours. I had never had a crash wrap before so I assumed Reno’s job was normal but Hector, the employee that helped me out in Oakland did an incredibly clean job and was kind enough to vacuum even the front of the car. All of that in addition to lovely and fast service from the young woman working as the receptionist!

My tech was somewhat friendly and pretty knowledgeable. He was much warmer at end of visit. He also gave me a realistic time for my service which I appreciated. They also installed the best aftermarket brand recommended for my vehicle. I watched as the cashier/front desk clerk told people it would be a 2 hour wait on auto-pilot for the same service which my tech said would only take 45-60 mins. This caused one customer to leave. She shouldve waited for her tech first. The cashier shouldve also offered to double check before sending customer away.

My window was smashed in and insurance company sent me here- they wanted me to wait five days and wouldn’t treat this as an emergency. Insurance company had to explain car is not drivable and must have all windows. Rep was dense as a wood.

I think for service you would do better with the mom and pop store. After taking my car to them and have them check which glass needed replacement, I returned two weeks later to be told after checking me in and waiting 45 minutes that they ordered the wrong glass for my car. It didn’t have to take them 45 minutes of me waiting for them to come tell me that! And then another one week to get the actual glass. Service is terrible.

This review is a continuation of a review that I gave for the San Rafael Safelite....which I gave a horrible review for based on my experience.....feel free to check it out.After San Rafael Safelite did a terrible job, mislead me about service options and then attempted to schedule me 5 weeks out for a warranty service to replace the faulty glass they installed I called my insurance provider and asked about the Oakland Safelite, as I am currently doing consulting work in Oakland and the vehiclke is there most days.When I called my insurance provider and let them know what happened in San Rafael they assisted in scheduling Oakland and within less than a week Oakland Safelite showed up...the issue was they tried to use the same glass manufacturer that was already used by San Rafael ....a quick reivew of the glass Oakland Safelite brought showed faults in this replacement windsheild glass as well......so we decided not to install and called the office.After about 2 weeks of back and forth, Oakland Safelite got permission to install the originally requested OEM glass. The manager at the Oakland facility was timely, helpful and did what she said she would.The technician, Robert was skilled in his trade and enjoyable to work with.Overall I give them a 4 of 5 rating as there were some small issues which were resolved quickly.Long and short of this is ....be careful about the standard glass Safelite is using....it is a cheaper Chinese manufactured glass and in the case of my Porsche Macan, the glass had defects in it and the defects seem to be through the entire production run....I am not sure if this is happening for other car models.....i can tell you it was noticeable around the lower 1/4 of the glass.....a defenite warp that distorted the view.The folks at the Oakland shop were dillegent, helpful and cooperative and when all was said and done, I have the replacement glass I wanted.
