I recently purchased a 25 hp 4s Mercury outboard. They had it in the tank when I got there. Fred the technician walked me through step by step the start up, warm up and break in procedures for the motor and answered all my questions. He even helped me strap it into my truck. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks Fred.
Wonderful Customer Service. They are short on help now due to the after effects of Covid . Garrett got us the parts we needed to get our boat on the lake and received excellent service.
On their website they claim Mid-Maine Marine is known for great service, fair and honest sales I can not say I agree with this self proclaimed honor. after speaking with a salesman, I was willing to drive 6 hours round trip to get to their dealership to look at a boat. I was told no one else was interested in the boat and convinced the trip would be worth my while. once going over the boat in person I assured the salesman that I was very interested in the boat and I made an offer very close to asking price. I left several different points of contact and the salesman assured me he would be in touch with me. about 30 minutes after leaving the dealership i went on their website to look at more pictures of the boat and it had been updated to sold. I assumed my offer had been accepted but this was not the case. the boat had been sold out from under me. no phone calls or emails were sent no option to make a higher offer. after several phone calls and not being able to leave a voicemail because of a full inbox I finally received a call back. I expressed a desire to make a higher offer if given the opportunity but they had no desire to negotiate. I feel that this dealership misled me and completely waisted my time. its unfortunate because they had several boats on their lot i could have worked with, but because of this terrible experience I will be taking my money elsewhere.
DO NOT BUY A BOAT FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!!! Called to ask a simple question How much PSI should there be in....... Was absolutely refused to talk to service....bring the boat in..... THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU AFTER THE SALE THEY ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY!!!! Lousy customer service I would give negative stars if I could.
Garret and the entire Family at Mid-Maine Marine made buying a boat so much fun! The process was extremely easy and they were very responsive to any questions that we had. Since the purchase Garret and Frank have been in constant contact to make sure we are happy and taken care of. A family run business with top notch customer service and beautiful boats!
Enjoying my new Lund SSV 14 purchased in April 2016 from Ronald at Mid-Maine Marine. Ronald patiently listened to my needs for a new utility boat for a remote camp on a lake in Northeastern Maine. After multiple visits over a year, I was able to see an excellent inventory of Lund boats at multiple price points and get all my questions answered. After deciding on the Lund SSV 14 and EZLoader trailer, Ronald walked me thru the purchase process and we accomplished the transaction completely over the phone and internet from my home in Connecticut. Mid-Maine was easy to work with and stored the boat for 3 months. I am a very satisfied customer of Mid-Maine Marine. From a boat point of view, the integrated storage under the rear seats, removable flooring, split seats, rear water spill tray and overall quality of Lund design were far superior to other brands. BTW, we used our existing 2013 Honda 4-stroke 15hp outboard and it does 20mph with 2 people and fishing gear. It is satisfactory......but would probably match it with a 25HP engine, if I ever decide to replace it.
We began searching for a boat two years ago. We vacation in the Belgrade Lakes region every year, and we wanted to purchase a Lund boat, so Mid-Maine Marine was the perfect fit for us. We dealt with Ronald Schultz, who is the sales manager. As we had been renting boats for many years, we had a pretty good idea of what we liked and didnt like. He walked us through the pros and cons of each model based upon our needs, and after careful consideration, we decided to purchase a Fury 1625 XL SS. Ronald knows his Lund lineup and helped us determine what was important for our future on the water. It is the perfect size for us and has more bells and whistles than we were used to, so, needless to say, we are having a blast with it. We hope to use it more often after our retirement, so our decision to upgrade from our original choice of hulls was a good one. Thanks, Ronald. We have continued to do business at Mid-Maine Marine, re: storage and winter maintenance, etc., and we could not be happier with the service there. Thanks to all of you at Mid-Maine Marine.
Great people to work with.
The folks at Mid Maine Marine sold me a new 4 stroke Mercury outboard for my classic Mako. They did a fantastic job with the installation. They also did a fabulous detail job for me. The boat is a 1983 model and it looks and runs like a brand new boat. They are also really nice people. I highly recommend this company.
I would Stay Clear of this Incompetent Boat Company!! Very Poor Customer Service and Repair Service! Do Not allow them to work on your boat! They have had our boat for over 2 months to install a brand new steering console unit we supplied for our 1998 pontoon boat. We are restoring it with all new seats, but this piece we wanted help with.We were notified the console unit was damaged weeks after they had it and we couldnt prove it wasnt damaged prior to leaving it with them. Lesson learned take pictures before you let any one work on anything! To be fair we ordered a new one and brought it to them. We just shouldnt have it just continued downhill from there. They DONT even stick close to an estimate instead more like double it!! We were quoted between $400-$600 to install the new driving console unit, reconnect the already brand new wiring harness to the control box and a possible new steering part that had a stripped piece. At $1200 we called it and the radio still isnt rehooked up. This shouldnt have cost this nor taken as long as it had!! Absolute Joke! They clearly dont know what they are doing and soak their customers by the hour with NO regards!! Once it was going to go over what you quoted you should CALL your customers! Saying Things Come Up is Unacceptable!! 10++ hours. You should have rewired the whole boat in that amount of time. Now a days you need everything in writing a verbal quote is No Good, especially at this place! Dont do business with this company you will Regret it like us! Save yourself the headaches and stress go elsewhere!! Completely Disgusted...Never Again Customers!!
Good
Ron and all the folks at Mid Maine Marine have gone way beyond the norm to make our boat buying experience fantastic! These people know what they are talking about and they are very trustworthy. We wanted a boat to cruise around our lake and ski and tube behind. Ron went out of his way to show us several options in several price ranges PLUS he told us the true pros and cons that we may not have really thought about. He was not pushy but let us have space plus all the facts to make the best decision for our needs which we appreciated. The whole Mid Maine Marine staff has also been very knowledgeable and reasonably priced regarding maintenance costs and winterizing our boat. We cant give a big enough rating to both the salespeople and customer service people at Mid Maine Marine. You wont be sorry to buy from them!
Spoke with a nice salesman named mark. I didnt have the information he needed to get the part and was told by mark to call back and ask for him. I called back about an hour later and asked to speak to mark. A woman told me whats this about?. I told her parts for an outboard, she told me she would deal with it, rather rudely. I said I had dealt with mark earlier and he knew what was going on and that i would like to talk to him. She told me she would do the transaction. I told her Id call back. I called back 20 minutes later to ask for mark in parts and was transferred to Frank the owner, who then told me I was rude to ask for mark and she could have taken care of it. Fact is.. I wanted to deal with mark. He was nice and instead of having an easy sale or transaction the owner of a company who I called to make a purchase called me rude and lost my business. Reap what you so Frank. No wonder you have a 3 star rating.
August 18, 2015My experience with Mid Maine was terrible. They had our boat for over 2 months and had no idea what was wrong and didnt want to admit it. Instead they replaced part after part, that were not needed, and in the end charged $1800.00 and the boat was not fixed. They promised to keep in contact but didnt. Made us feel like we should not contact them to keep updated on OUR boat, which is NOT RIGHT! Promised they would make it right but just charged more! Held our boat hostage and wanted more money. The owner didnt keep his word and said he never said the things he did. The head man in the service department, should not associate with customers. When we were talking to him, another customer called and he shook his head in discuss. When you call and ask for a certain person, they put the phone down (not on hold but on a desk or something) and after 20 - 30 minutes they hang the phone up! This happened twice! They were very rude and when confronted with a question they dont answer directly. They pass everything off on someone else in their company. After you make your purchase they do not care about you. But they will take your money!!I would not recommend this business for sales or service! Really sad this business doesnt care about the people that paid good money for their purchases. We tried to work out the issues but instead they just did more work and charged more money.I have never been so upset with a business as with these people. You will find many other bad reviews on the web, about this same problem.
We are very happy with our purchase and service from Mid-Maine Marine. We had visited several other local boat shops and felt that we got the most attention and personalized help at Mid-Maine. We love our new boat and cant wait for Spring to get here so we can be out cruising again!
Totally satisfied with our new Lund 1775 Adventure. I have been visiting Ronald and Mark annually since purchasing a Lund Rebel 1675 from a friend and continued going there to have it serviced. When it was time to upgrade I looked around online, but decided to start with Ronald. He patiently listened to how we planned on using the boat and patiently answered our questions. He never pushed us into more boat than we needed, and in fact suggested the more cost effective choice over one of the models that we were considering.I know there are some bad reviews here, mostly about rude customer service; that has not been my experience.
I met with Ronald at MMM early 2016 and mentioned that I was interested in a boat that I could fish from and bring the family around in, and that I was on a budget. He called me back a couple of weeks later with a boat that he took in trade that he thought would be a nice fit, and that was within our price range. We purchased the boat and used it at least 60 times on at least eight different bodies of water last summer. Looking forward to ice out this Spring to get back in the water fishing again. Thank you.
Pick up parts they had in stock good service
Ron was great...got what I needed...was out the door headed down the road.
Frank and Jackie run the best marine supply, boat sales and storage facility in the area. I have been a lifetime friend and a longtime customer, so dont take my word for it. Go and see for yourself.
We bought a brokerage boat from Mid Maine Marine. Ron the salesman was very helpful. Going above and beyond for us. They took all the stickers off from the previous owner. They called someone who was interested in our boat we had at home, that we wanted to sell. Very helpful and accommadating.
Just started a relationship. More to develop. So far so good.
Excellent! Was able to fix my engine RPM problem an Rig my motor the correct way. My motor finally runs an slips in to gear like butter. Thanks guys&gals. Finally have my 2015 Bassboat running the correct way.
Its been a pleasure dealing with Mid Main Marine. I have bought 2 boats from them and have had another one serviced there for years. The experience has always been very positive. Good peope and I recommend them highy.
******DO NOT TAKE YOUR BOAT HERE******I brought my boat there last year to have the motor re-done, it took them FOUR months and they completely screwed up the motor, cost me an additional $1000 to have a REAL local marine retailer fix the motor.... and now it runs.... imagine that. I was going to trade in my boat there this fall... no way in hell will I ever step foot in that parking lot again. They also winterized it and didnt drain the gas, didnt do anything to the motor, first day on the water two weeks ago, and it was dead/garbage. What a horrible experience!!!!!!!!!!!
Absolutely horrible customer service AND service!! We brought our jet ski here hoping to have the bugs worked out of it... After TWO YEARS of them not returning our phone calls, several unsuccessful visits to the store, trying desperately to track down a manager to speak with, and a service tech telling us If he knew what a basket case this jet ski was he never would have let it in his garage we decided to pull it out (keep in mind we are paying customers who never gave them a budget limit). They tried to charge us for 24 hours of labor in TWO YEARS! We brought it to Trailside Performance who very happily had it completed in a week and a half. DONT waste your time with Mid-Maine!
Very knowledgeable and professinal. And fairly priced
I went into Mid-Maine the other day to buy some parts. A man and a woman were behind the counter, discussing something. They totally ignored me. They finally acknowledged my existence as I was leaving. By then it was too late. I wont be back.
Wont allow you in..
The WORST customer service when needing service Save yourselves and find another place to go Absolute zero accountability from anyone at that place Communication is non existent RUN!!!
Mid-Maine Marine has been there for us every time we have an issue or a question regarding not only our watercraft, but also, all the rules and requirements of boating in Maine. Thanks, Frank, Jackie and the whole staff for your excellent service and advice!
Great selection, decent prices and amazing service!
What kind of boat shop doesnt do oil changes on outboard motors some boat shop this place is.
