They have great hot chocolate and great seasonal snacks for cheap! Love this place!

The chocolate bar selection at Chocolate Dragon is amazing! Always thankful for the low glycemic options that taste better than any commercial chocolate I have ever had. Attention to ingredient detail, unusual combinations and organic sources make this a very special chocolate shop.

I loved the hot chocolate in this place, they also have a lemon tart that is to die for. My husband and I treat ourself once or twice a week to this heavenly place, we go and pick one dessert each and some hot chocolate.

Hole in the wall, counter service only with a couple outdoor seats during covid... amazing drinking chocolate. Puts that powdered stuff to shame. Bicrin (hot chocolate plus espresso) is insane.

The Chocolate Dragon is one of my favorite cafes in the East Bay -- its warm and cozy in every way thanks to Lisa, who is the owner and baker. My recommendations: the chocolate zucchini bread, the hot chocolate cinnamon cake, and any of the hot chocolate drinks (Lisa uses high quality ingredients). Lisa also has a wide variety of chocolates and is happy to offer a sample.

Such a beautiful authentic cafe. Definitely deserves more popularity than it has. The chocolate dragon is a warm homey place small in size that has a very lovely atmosphere. The baked goods, coffee, and various chocolates are all finely made and presented. My only downside is the odd lack of invitation behind the counter.

Chef Lisa is talented. Shes been practicing vegan baking before it was popular. She showcases a variety of flavors, textures, and health conscious ingredients. I highly recommend this place. Im a cook, btw. I have over ten years experience in kitchens and Chef Lisa impressed me.

Intimate little cafe with a small selection of drinks, served in mugs for dine-in. The variety comes from the wide range of chocolate selections available to pair with the drinks. I loved the look and vibe.Overall, quirky and friendly little place with good coffee and treats.

One of the best hot chocolate Ive ever had in the bay area! Its not a huge selection but every choice they have here is amazing! The atmosphere is very welcoming and warm. This is the perfect fall and cold weather stop!

So I came back but this time the hot chocolate did not taste the same. Thats why I revised my review. My friend also ordered the same exact drink as last week and also agreed it didnt taste the same. We presume they probably added cocoa maybe last time and this time they didnt. In any event, it tasted like any regular hot chocolate. No prizes here.I tried the classic chocolate and it is over, above, and superb!!! Leaves Starbucks hot chocolate way behind by FAR!!! If it was a hot chocolate competition between those two places in taste, this place beats it without a tiny doubt! YOU gotta taste it yourself. Be the judge is that and your taste buds will understand. I dont know what they put in that chocolate but its the best Ive tasted.

Small, cozy coffee house atmosphere, great for some quiet time. Not a huge selection, but I tried two of their hot chocolates and they were easily some of the best Ive had. They even let me sample first. High marks!

Hot chocolate was way too sweet, coffee is too bitter, its not very clean, very small portions for a very steep price.Its so not worth it, to the point of worst starbucks might be worse in service but better in coffee quality.But it was not disgusting place, and my drinks were being prepared okay, its just recipes were totally off with amount of sugar! Cashier was pretty nice.

Why did the SF one close down??? Why? I love their hot chocolates! They have great lunch options with amazing salads that are quite filling!! I usually get carried away with their cakes and pastries.

My favorite shop on college ave. Its like stepping into another world, where everything moves just a little slower, and theres just a little more time for everything. It is a great place for coffee or drinking chocolate on a weekend morning.

One of my most favorite, most chill spots in the middle of Rockridge. A perfect place to read a book. Try their chocolate chai with a Not Oreo -- both very yummy. Also! They have a printer that you just email documents to. Its saved me a ton of time to just walk over and pick up forms and junk. Overall a lovely spot.

This place is fabulous. Great food and drinks and super cozy, quiet and friendly environment. I really like the spicy hot chocolate, the mocha, the cinnamon cake, the chocolate flourless confection, and the brownies. Obviously focus on th chocolate based goods here.

Nice overall bakery/cafe style menu, but the best bet is one of the several hot chocolates. If you are normally a dark chocolate fan, the bittersweet hot chocolate is the one to warm your hands and heart with.

Light jazz music, fresh chocolate, tables and wifi. Everything you need for a place to work, study, catch up with a friend and relax. They know their chocolate brands and while some of the bars are crazily expensive, the hot chocolate is more reasonable and worth the indulgence.

Open until a slightly later hour, this local treasure makes their mocha with not-too-sweet melted chocolate that gives it a rich smokiness which is not to be missed.

Bittersweet Chocolate Café is usually wonderful, and I did frequent the Rockridge location with a friend a few years back, but I recently emailed them via Facebook to complain that Id become ill after drinking a mocha and they offered me a refund--then blocked me when I accepted!The store has just closed temporarily and will be under new management, which may account for their who cares? attitude.I hate to say it, but my experience with this company has turned bittersweet.Extra star for good memories and the nice barista.
