San Pablo is a pretty nice one stop shop if your in a fix and need a quick drink and smoke. My husband and I stop here from time to time and the service and selection is pretty nice. I would say stop by if youre looking for something quick.

I’ve only been here once to buy a bottle of alcohol one night, and they are reasonably priced (unlike some liquor stores which will literally try to charge nearly twice as much as the grocery stores sell the same bottle for!)The man behind the counter was nice and even though he misunderstood my question (I guess he thought I was saying “where is the garbage” when I said where are the scratchers, and so was offering to throw away my garbage). Even though it was a misunderstanding, it was still a nice gesture.

This is probably one of the best local Grocery/Liquor stores in Uptown Oakland.The business is Family run and owned and they carry a huge selection of products ranging from pet supplies, house hold items, pre-packaged items, sauces, frozen foods, non-alcoholic drinks, beers, wines, champagnes.They even installed a small fridge for butter, cheeses, and quick to buy sandwiches + more itemsNot only that but they have many useful items behind the counter.If you are in this area check them out, Staff is great and friendly.

The staff is wonderful, helpful and courteous. Shame that they have to deal with the hangers-out and panhandlers harassing them and the customers entering and exiting the market on a daily basis. Still they manage to keep the store clean and well stocked with products. ☺

I have absolutely mixed feelings regarding this place; when the man behind the counters obvious profiling swings in my favor, well then I love it! They have a great booze/candy/random munchies selection and a pretty swell wine stock as well.BUT then theres the times when the profiling thing blows- possibly my 2am, weekday, sweats attire is deeply offensive to him and causes the muscles in his eyebrows to manifest a perpetual STANK EYE. And I dont like it.Also, I cant stand the crowd that loiters like 2 feet from the front door (for the sole purpose of making it clear to YOU that they know you heard them ask for change and/or a cigarette and they expect one of those things upon your exit of the store).
