These people are amazing. I have struggled with starting CPAP Therapy. It just seemed like I could not find a mask that fit and was comfortable. Coastal changed all that. Turns out I am one of the rare people who needs a wide cushion. Their person took the time to figure this out provide me the help and service I needed. Truly wish I could give them more than just 5 stars, 10 would be more appropriatepap
My experiences with Coastal Med Tech (Oakland) over the past couple of months have been terrific. Several weeks before my appointment, a staff member called me and explained the ins and outs of the equipment I would be using.During the actual appointment, Jodi, the respiratory therapist, carefully explained how to use the equipment and answered all of my questions in a professional manner. She has called a couple of times since then to check with me to see how everything is going. The three staff members I have dealt with are pleasant and knowledgeable.
My husband and I visited here to switch his respiratory service to here and were treated expertly by Tina.
Not impressed with this outfit, had my Drs office order me a different cpap mask and 2 months later I still dont have it . They told me that they never received the order twice. I know my Dr sent the order.
Had a nebulizer machine through them it died after a year is there a year they replaced it with what I thought was a new machine what I thought was a new machine I get home get ready for bed I get home get ready for bed and its broken does not work Cracked in halfI called the number for an on call help And they dont help people with nebulazers on call because thats not a necessity
This is an absolutely horrible company which I hope I will not be doing business with much longer. For well over a year, I was able to get C pap supplies and the insurance covered it. Now almost 2 years since getting diagnosed and getting the machine, suddenly Im responsible. There is absolutely no communication with the doctors, insurance companies or the patients. This machine was forced upon me against my will by doctors. Coastal Med Tech sends me bills saying they will be contacting an attorney im regards to my bills yet when I call nobody answers. I think it is time to contact the Better Buiness Bureau against Coastal Med Tech. If you need medical supplies go to Lincare.
So, my doctor called in an order for a Rollator with 4 wheels, they gave me one with 2 wheels and told my my insurance wouldnt cover the 4 wheel model. They made me pay $40 more for the chair they had already charged my insurance $94, so I paid $134 for a walker that is $69.00 at Walmart. Oh, my insurance company said they 100% would have covered that given my injury but Coastal Med never called them about it so they didnt know I had extra coverage options. Oh and the staff was so damn rude it is sad they treat people this way and stay in business. The lady told me if I wanted luxury I had to pay for it, oh I am sorry lady I had a massive stroke and needed this type of walker, not a luxury...... Shame on you.
Very unfriendly staff. Very weak inventory. Staff refused to make an exception on the overly strict return policy for an 88 year old man with dementia. Item was brand new with tags still on it in perfect condition. Receipt was 10 days past store return policy and staff would not even issue a store credit for an 88 year old with dementia- yes, I said that twice intentionally. Very understandable why there are so many negative reviews. Stay clear of this awful place.
Staff are pleasant but not always helpful. Have been unable to get c-pap supplies (mask, hose, etc) replacements for months now due to a problem between Coastal and their Respironics contractor. In the meantime, health is severely compromised and equipment is required from a medical liability standing.
I have had nothing but trouble with this company very dissatisfied. First I took a prescription in for a knee scooter one week before foot surgery. They were going to call me when it was ready. Two days before surgery I have not heard from them so I call. I find out that the woman I spoke to did not even enter it in the computer my paperwork was still sitting on her desk. Now trying to make a payment for my copay and they have my paperwork all screwed up. I will never use their services again!!!
Their helpful staff went leaps and bounds out of their way to get me an item I couldnt find anywhere else! Thank you so much!
They reapplied to get my therapy light through mainecare and it got delivered 3 days later
Very dissatisfied with the business was told that my supplies where on back order and it took several weeks to get my supplies.gave them 3-4 chances to improve and call them several times and even spoke to the manager to resolve the issue but never got handle.i went to lincare to start new service and they said to me that they have the same supplier and that being on back order is just a excuse.would not recommend them to anyone.hope other people dont run into the same problem I ran into.
