I bought my wedding dress at Kleinfeld Bridal in New York, so I was a little worried about finding the right seamstress around the area to alter it properly. The dress is covered with lace and beading and has quite the long train so I knew it was not going to be easy. After doing some research, I stumbled upon Ms. Elena at Essential Fit, and I count my lucky stars I found such a professional and talented lady to alter my dress. I would not trust anyone else or go to anyone else in the future except her with your clothing alterations, she is absolutely THE BEST in the business. Shes very funny and personable, my mom and I both love her when we got our dresses altered for the wedding. My recommendation is to get your dress in as soon as possible since she is usually booked and rightly so.Even brides on a budget can go to her, I was amazed at how reasonable my alterations and 2 fittings cost for such professional work and a hard dress to alter, she spent quite some time on it. My mom just had a hem done on her dress since shes short, and the work is so perfect, you couldnt even tell she had anything done to it.One of the main features of a wedding is of course the Bride and her dress, and mine fit perfectly, felt comfortable to dance in all day, and I am so happy I found the right person to alter it for me!! Elena is absolutely amazing! She was so fun to work with and is great at what she does. She was able to assess what needed to be fixed, and how, right away and then explained her process to my mom and I in a way that we could follow, which was very appreciated!There were 3-4 layers in the skirt of my dress and it was a few inches too long. She was able to hem the entire dress without losing the integrity of the design. She also added 2 bustles, which were easy to use the night of and worked perfectly. I was able to dance and move about without any fear of tripping. She also steamed the dress 2 days prior, so all of the petals laid perfectly!Elena also works fast, keeps communication open, and her prices are very fair. I felt so beautiful that night and comfortable, much of which I attribute to her.Thank you again Elena!
