Great store for all your snorkeling or scuba needs. New to the sport and man at the desk was so informative and helpful. He had some great stories to tell us and you can tell he is very passionate about diving. Definitely the place to go for gear.

I love diving and am always sad to see such egos in dive shops that make what should be such a fun event, a really unpleasant experiencePros•The equipment that we ended up renting was fine, with some adjustments, and workedCons•Condescending staff to customer experience•Rental regulator didn’t come with a mouth piece due to “corona virus concerns”... okay, but owner didn’t wear a mask and was rude about me wearing one. I ended up taking my mouthpiece off of my snorkel but still kind of cheap and unsafe to rent a reg without mentioning that it didn’t come with a mouthpiece• Was weirdly reluctant to rent me weights claiming I wouldn’t need them for my dry suit...... just wrong

I love the Aquatic Center of Ocala And all of the staff. The owner Craig has been very helpful in meeting all of my dive needs and equipment purchases. I have taken a couple of advanced classes and Craig was an excellent instructor. He made the class fun and made sure I was proficient in everything taught. The Aquatic Centers scuba gear prices are almost impossible to beat, I recently replaced all my gear and Craig saved me almost $500. I look forward to taking the Rescue and Dive Controller classes with Craig as my instructor.

By far the cheapest place to rent equipment from and has a great weekend deal. All gear for sale is competitive with any website or any other aqua lung/apex dealer.After the first time I went to his shop, I havent went anywhere else. Now Im looking at buying tech diving equipment and it will be from the aquatic center of Ocala.

Steve and Craig were outstanding, the made feel very comfortable and I learned the skills I needed quickly. We even stayed late one night to complete the training, Steve was patience and dedicated.Thank you guys.

There is a note on the door, that states no photos are allowed inside the shop, so no photos will accompany this review. I inquired about taking a scuba class, and was told that you HAVE to rent equipment from the shop in order to take the class, even though I already have my own equipment. I also wanted to get a service done on a regulator, and was asked to bring it in. I did so, after being informed it could be repaired there, but learned after arriving it was all shipped off to a different place for repairs. They did not have a lot of inventory in the shop, (that I could see). Craig was good in pointing me in the right direction where I could get my regulator service done. It may be a good place to visit if you were near by, but there are other dive shops with more inventory and selection of dive gear.

My husband and I just completed our open water certification. Craig was a amazing instructor! We learned each skill one at a time, which I feel gave me confidence in the water. We bought our gear from the store as well, really happy with the quality and price. If you are interested in diving, I highly recommend you start here.

Craig is a great instructor. There is a complete dive shop on site. Craig focuses on meeting the needs of his customers, not just selling the most profitable equipment. I highly recommend the Aquatic Center of Ocala.

I have been diving since 1984, 5 years ago I discovered Aquatic Center of Ocala, I have not gone any where else since. Craig is an awesome instructor, runs a respectable and professional shop. All of my gear has been purchased there and is inspected and maintained every year by Aquatic Center of Ocala. I have never had any issues with scheduling classes, getting air fills or getting equipment maintained and serviced when I need it.I highly recommend Aquatic Center of Ocala for all of your diving needs.

While visiting family in Floral City we thought we we had open water cert dives set up with another dive shop in the area. Unfortunately that didnt work out. We started looking for other options and checks with the Ocala Aquatic Center. The owner was incredibly helpful and although wasnt able to do the Padi cert he hooked us up with another place that could. We will definitely do business with home in the future! Great customer service!

Im a Navy veteran who paid over $300 for scuba lessons. The owner disappears after my payment to the class. I called the staff for course dates and got different dates. 3 weeks later im told I missed the class, and they will not refund me all of my money back. The owner then threatens to sue me because I mentioned writing a bad review. I still dont have my money and have no clue how to get certified after 3+ weeks after paying these people. I highly recommend not coming here if you value your time and money. I had to dispute my cc over $300. Extremely unprofessional.The owner Craig also went out of his way to harass my separate business, as pictured below. A simple refund will be a nightmare for you dealing with this company.

Woman at the counter was very nice and accommodating when I purchased a few items and was inquiring about their dive trips, but after simply speaking with the owner about tanks, he was rude and dismissive. No thanks.

Young man - you have a lot to learn about Craig and life. I was on the same course as you were meant to be on . Funny how the rest of us knew what the dates were yet you didnt. In the shop there was a board up with all upcoming dates on it - very visible. Craig and his staff go out of their way to help new and experienced divers. I would recommend Craig to anyone wanting to take an initial diving class or specialty classes. Great place to learn scuba diving skills. Craig, the owner, is a patient instructor and helps with equipment selection. I highly recommend the Aquatic Center.

I rented two tanks from this shop on Saturday. One tank was fine, however the other ones valve was dented. I asked him if the dent would effect the performance of the tank and he said that the tank was fine. When I went diving, I could not install the regulator onto the defective tank. It was dented so severely that it could have damaged the regulator.Today, I returned the tanks and informed him about the issue. He took a look at the tank and shrugged. I requested a refund for the defective tank and he refused.If you ever decide to rent from this guy for whatever reason, make sure you fit your regulator BEFORE leaving the shop. The owner does not take these matters seriously; which can lead to wasted diving trips, damaged equipment and even severe injury.

I went there last week got my open water certification. Was a great experience. Craig was a great instructor and his soon to be instructor was a great help to.

I have done business with the Aquatic Center since I began diving in 2010. I have extended through to my Master Diver Certification and have used them exclusively for that training. I have also purchased the majority of my gear from them as well. I cant say I have ever had a bad experience with this shop and would recommend them for both SSI training & gear purchases!
