Sally and her team could not be more kind and helpful! As someone brand new to needlepoint, Sally helped me choose a beautiful canvas and all of the threads to match. She then helped me get started by providing me with a little starter pack (scissors, needles, a needle cushion, and needle threader), creating a frame for me to work on, and setting me up with her staff member, JoAnne, for a complementary lesson. JoAnne was incredibly patient and personable. You can tell that everyone employed at Scrim Discovery has a passion for what they do! They offer an amazing selection of canvases and just an overall wonderful shopping experience. I cant wait to go back!

Sally runs the friendliest shop in town. You will never walk out of her shop empty handed. She has a huge variety of needlepoint canvases and threads, designers and finishes; something for everyone. Its a regular stop for me.

Fantastic customer service and needlepoint selection. I came here looking to start my first needlepoint canvas and I couldnt have asked for a better experience. The employee (her name is escaping me, but she has brown hair!) working the day I went in was very friendly and kind when I entered. While browsing Scrim Discoverys extensive selection she gave me valuable advice on what types of canvases would be good for a beginner. After picking a canvas the employee helped me pick out threads for my canvas, checking them under a bright light to make sure they were a perfect match (they were!). To top it all off she sent me home with a starter kit that included a needle minder, scissors, needles, and stitching guides! I would highly recommend this shop to beginners and pros alike - the staff have an excellent selection and knowledge base to help with any project youre working on.

Sally and her team were so helpful in getting me started with needlepoint. They have the newest designs by tons of well-known designers. Trunk shows are frequent and they have every fiber imaginable in every color. Oftentimes with starting a new craft, some shops act as gatekeepers who want to make something seem hard and unattainable- that is not the case here. I’ve been in to Scrim a few times and all of the people working there are kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. It’s a great atmosphere with tons of choice and great sales. Parking is plentiful too.

Sally, the owner of Scrim Discovery, makes it such a fabulous experience of visiting her shop that it is simply the BEST needlepoint shop in the world! An absolute must for all those who love needlepointing...people come from all over as Sally’s talents with fabrics, colors, designs and finishing are impeccable! Scrim is superior!

THE BEST!A dedicated to needlepoint shop is extremely difficult to find. Scrim Discovery IS needlepoint. Their selection of handpainted canvases is superior. The salespeople are also terrific and experienced stitchers. They gently guide you in selecting yarns and colors, while respecting your wishes. If you cant make it to the shop (although I highly recommend the trip as the store is beautiful and inspirational - a wonderful atmosphere), they will work patiently with you over the phone. To wit: I just completed a project (a surprise!) for my new grandson. With their advice, I surfed the websites of several of their designers to select a canvas. Sally helped select the yarns during several phone consultations. She also suggested stitching methods with some of the fancier yarns. I am waiting for it to come back from finishing. Oh yes: they use only the best finishers. I have had them finish a handbag (lots of compliments on that!); ornaments, pillows. Always very professionally completed. On to my next project!
