I have loved Hobby Horse for as long as I can remember. Their ice cream is fantastic, their sundaes are to die for and the staff is always so pleasant. Ive been coming to Ocean City ever since I was little and Hobby Horse is always a must stop on every trip.

Very good ice cream. A single cone is alot of ice cream, about 2 very full scoops! We went 3 evenings between 9/3 - 9/13, and there was a line every time. It moves slowly, but they work! We chose them bc they have one sugar free dipped ice cream (diabetic mother).Just wish they would remember to change the sign when the flavor changes! We waited in line twice, only to find the flavor had changed to one she couldnt have (nuts).

Delicious ice cream comes in many flavors, larger sizes are a full meal. There is a carousel horse outside and the interior has many horses too. Plenty of indoor seating available.

Although the inside is still Covid closed, they have a nice setup. Call from the front, order, pick up at the window where they have outside seating and their own parking lot. And coming from a family that tries ice cream everywhere we go, this is among the best! The smores ice cream is thick, creamy and delicious, and everyone loved the cookies and cream and the cake ice cream which had actual cake in it! This is one we will be back to!

Brownie Sundae and Dugans Treasure were delicious. The 3rd in our group had a cup of Death by Chocolate which she loved.

This is the psych ward of toddlers bedrooms. And the ice cream is great. The people here go above and beyond. I appreciate the aesthetic of both the interior and exterior. Still when you go in the set up is so bizarre you feel like youre going to be locked up in a padded room of a pastel menagerie. Its cute but also really discomforting. Summarily, I loved it.

Weve always made time for a stop into Hobby House for some ice cream. They have a lot of flavor options and a cooler with homemade ice cream cookie sandwiches.Their sundaes really set them apart. All of them are huge, delicious, and affordable. Its definitely worth stopping in to check out.

This has always been a family tradition for my wife when she visited Ocean City as a little girl. I was able to visit this shop last year, and it is a cool piece of Ocean City history. We both got milkshakes that were so good, this was the only place we would go during our week stay. If you need a break from the heat and want amazing ice cream stop in and see for your self.

After walking to the opposite end of town to the Johnny B Goods ice cream shop, which would not serve us ice cream even though it was supposed to be open for 10 more minutes, we only wanted 2 ice cream cones!! My friend called the owner of the Hobby Horse shop and they said they would stay open for us, so we walked to the other end of town, he had locked his door since it was past closing BUT he opened his shop and he scooped us our 2 ice cream cones to make our vacation day complete! One of the best places to go! Plus has a great photo opp. For you and your kids with the horse out front!!Thank you!!

We were told about this place from our waitress at dinner and she was so right. The sundae I had was very good,almost to big to finish. It has a nice size seating area away from the busy counter plus outside seating. You will not be sorry you stopped in.

Every time we go to Ocean City beach, we end the day here. They have a huge selection of delicious ice cream, and parking has NEVER been an issue for us.Its going to be fun to look back over the years at how the kids have grown through our series of photos from the back of the hobby horse in front of the entrance... A yearly tradition :)

Great Ice cream parlor off the boardwalk. They have a large selection of flavors and toppings. There is a seating area and s water fountain. The staff always keeps the line moving.

We visit Hobby Horse each time we vacation in OCNJ. Delicious flavors to choose from and the staff is very friendly. The gentleman who assisted us was particularly helpful and kind towards our young kids who couldn’t decide on flavors by offering samples and being extremely patient. We always make a point to get to Hobby Horse and look forward to our next visit.

So many absolutely delicious flavors to choose from! I cant say that I have ever been disappointed. If you go on the earlier side in the summer, the lines are much shorter, but it is always worth the wait.

Excellent ice cream. Best ice cream at ocean city by far! I would definitely recommend the sticky bun. The ice cream is soft and smooth served at a great temperature. It also has a nice beachy ice cream feel inside with the decor including indoor seating!

Excellent service with TONS of delicious flavors, whats not to love? I really love the coconut flavor as well as the pumpkin pie flavor (available starting in September while supplies last). Give the pumpkin pie as a milkshake a try, you wont be disappointed!

Best Ice Cream in OC, get the Peanut Butter Pie! Most peanut butter flavors are Vanilla or Chocolate based, but PB Pie is Peanut Butter Based! You cant go wrong and a very personable owner/staff even when busy!

My family enjoys getting ice cream here almost every time we visit OCNJ. It is nice to be able to sit at a table while eating. It can get super busy and you will wait in line for awhile. The ice cream is just as good as Georges or Kohrs so it is up to you whether it is worth the wait or not.

Update for 2020: Great to see the Hobby Horse open for business and busy during the pandemic. However, the requirement to phone in all orders is odd and it’s very difficult to get through. Why not just take orders at the front window and fill them at the back?Its become a family tradition to take a walk to Hobby Horse for great ice cream when in Ocean City.
