We have recently relocated to the MS Gulf coast and on a house hunting trip we went to a boat show and made a connection with the Ocean Marine Group in Ocean Springs, MS. We were not ready to actually purchase the boat until we purchased a house, but stopped by and talked to Chad. He was very accommodating taking time to review every detail about the Key West that we had seen at the boat show. We took his card and he regularly made contact with us when a boat show was coming up and after doing our homework on all the boats we decided on the Key West. Chad was very professional and pleasant to deal with. He never pushed us to buy the boat quicker than we were ready to and after buying a house on the bayou we needed to build a boathouse and install a lift and decided to do this before actually purchasing the boat and made several trips to Ocean Marine for measurements and built the slip and installed the lift to fit the boat we were looking at. No matter how many times we stopped in Chad always took his time with us and was patient with everything; answering every question. We have now owned the boat for about a year and have been completely satisfied with our Key West and the group at Ocean Marine. Even after we have purchased the boat Chad continues to take all our calls and if we have a question about anything he takes time to answer everything and never makes us feel as if we are pain, which Im sure we are. Since owning the boat we have made connections with Mike in the Service Dept who is also always available and helps when we are ready for service. Chris in finance is always pleasant and greets us when we come in the door. People going by our house always remark on how nice our boat looks and we always recommend going to see Chad at Ocean Marine because we dont think you could find anyone easier or nicer to deal with to buy a boat. So to sum up this long review, Ocean Marine Group in Ocean Springs is a GREAT place to purchase a boat, Chad is a great salesman to deal with and you can count on them before, during and after the sale. The Friday before last I stopped by there Ocean Springs location and could not get a price on a boat. The only person that asked me if I needed help was the girl working behind the parts counter. I waited around 30 minutes before me and two other people wanting to look at boats left with no help. I sent them a message on Tuesday of this week asking for a price on a boat but still no response.

I have bought two boats from Ocean Marine in the last five years. I have also used them to sell one. First Class operation that understands customer service!Chad helped me with all three transactions with the utmost professionalism. His product knowledge is excellent, he helped me understand what was the right boat for me with the right features. Service Department is excellent as well. My experience with Chad and the entire team at Ocean Marine is GREAT! That is why I am a repeat customer.

These folks are the best! Especially, Michael who was very tentative to my situation and extremely professional throughout the whole process. After dealing with other marine shops, this experience was refreshing. All of the staff are very pleasant and friendly. I would recommend this shop to anyone! Thank you all, I will be back!

Let me just share my experience with Ocean Marine Group out of Ocean Springs, Ms. I can honestly say I wasn’t looking to buy a boat but stopped by just to look and feel it out. They had a really nice selection of boats available on site. Everyone that I came across there made me feel real welcomed and not pressured like you find at most dealerships. Trey Reynolds is one of the salesman that works there and greeted me. He took it upon himself to show me any boats I wanted to look at and was very knowledgeable with all my questions. Not only was he knowledgeable about the boats, but knowledgeable about any financing as well. After discussing a lot of “what if’s” with Trey Reynolds, I decided I could actually afford a boat and closed the deal on the spot. Since then, I have been in there several times, and Trey Reynolds has helped me and made me feel like they have not forgot about me and they are there to help with any problems or questions. He has taken a personal approach to my purchase and I would absolutely recommend anyone going to Ocean Marine Group and using them for all their boating needs.

We have now made two purchases with Ocean Marine and both times have been great experiences. Everything from the customer service and upfront pricing made the entire experience seamless. I have also used them for the routine service on our boat and have had no issues there either. I have and will continue to recommend Ocean Marine to anyone.

Salesforce was helpful but inventory was low

This is my 1st negative review in my life; thats how strongly I feel about this. We bought a brand new Key West boat from Ocean Marine in Ocean Springs, MS in June of 2020. They took our back rest off our boat and gave it to another customer without our consent. When we picked the boat up, they said they were ordering another one from Key West and that it was in processing. After a few weeks, we called to find out where the back rest was. We were repetitively told that it was in processing and they couldnt do anything about it. After months of this, I asked Ocean Marine for a tracking # and they could not provide one. When I went back to the store, Ocean Marine shifted blame to Key West and stated that they had to make on (physically construct it to fit our specific boat) and that Key West was taking so long to do just that. I asked if they could call Key West and they refused, stating email was their point of contact. I was so frustrated about their lack of effort to fix a problem THEY created. Finally, I contacted Key West directly. They were awesome and pulled a back rest right off the shelf and sent it to us. It took less than a week. I will never buy anything from Ocean Marine again and plan to write a letter to corporate, with supporting evidence, to let them know of this practice. Its a shame when the customer has to solve a problem that the seller created.

First off, this shop is located right next to one of the best boat ramps in Ocean Springs (read easy to go on sea trials). The property is very well laid out with excellent inventory, nice showroom, spare parts area and efficient repair shop.Ive bought, sold and traded boats here over several years so my association with them is more than just one visit. Now on my 8th boat (not counting 9 kayaks/canoes), Ive been around a few boat dealers from Monterey, California to Annapolis, MD and from Key West to New Port, Rhode Island as a retired sea going/ship building naval officer (some assembly required).By far, this is THE BEST boat dealer Ive ever dealt with. Mike, who runs the repair shop, is exceptionally talented and completely comfortable with my professional marine engineering experience (some dealers have been intimidated). Chris, now the store manager is EXCEPTIONALLY SKILLED in his knowledge and experience messing around with boats.Ocean Springs is FORTUNATE to have such a well situated, WELL STAFFED, professional and honest dealership.

Outstanding! We just purchased a new Key West 203FS from Ocean Marine Group in Ocean Springs. We simply could not be happier with the boat and the service we received.We worked with Kevin McLaughlin during the purchase process and we are extremely satisfied with how everything was conducted. Kevin is very professional and knowledgeable. He doesn’t use high pressure sales techniques. When I encounter that, I walk away regardless of what I’m purchasing.Kevin gave us all the time we needed to answer our myriad of questions. He helped us fairly on the trade in of our old boat which, possibly unknown to them, was instrumental in our decision to purchase a new boat through their dealership. Of course, the Key West brand also played an important role as it is a quality boat.I have to mention Chris and Mike also. During the purchasing process they both helped us a great deal . Mike showed us the features of the new chart plotter/fish finder we added to the boat and then he expertly installed it. Brought our 20 hp Mercury in 22 Nov 2016 because fuel was leaking from the carburetor. Told it would cost $150.00 for a rebuilt one and with labor around $200.00 and more. For a new one it would cost $500.00 or more. This was outrageous! All they did is looked at the motor and determined this and charged us $116.00 for just looking at it. This is outrageous just looking at it. Me and my son took the motor home and cleaned the carburetor and it ran fine with no leaks afterwards. It did not need new gaskets or any parts, just cleaned. If it would have needed new gaskets my son found a rebuild kit for $15.00 on line. We will never use this place again because they charge you for doing nothing.

Took my 21ft boat in and asked them if they could have it up and running since I had some friends coming into town. Rob said he would do his best to have it looked at. Sure enough they had it up and running in time for me to use it with my friend. They fixed multiple problems with my engine, running lights, steering, etc.. Other locals repair shops wouldnt even call me back. Price was fair, boat runs like a champ. Thank you Ocean Marine.

Verry unhappy with these peopleI got a 2017 vortex with maybe 10 hours on it.I sent in for a service job. They told me that the starter needed to be replaced.That didn’t work. So they called me and said I needed to take it to someone that works on jet boats.Keep in. I don’t they have a ton chaparral jet boats and there a dealerI picked the boat up. They charged me 1400.00 and the boat literally looked like it survived a war. It looked like the day I bought it when I dropped it off and when I picked it up.It had a deep scratch down one graphic and the paint was fadedSo I took it to sunrise in dalphne. They took it for maybe 9 daysCalled today boats ready 642.00There was nothing wrong with the boat. It needed to be drove around and plugs changed outSTAY AWAY

My husband and I bought a cuddy cabin boat because we had small children. Once they got a little older we used it less and less, so we took it to Ocean Marine to try and have them sell it for us. Being military we were not stationed here. It took Ocean Marine more that 5 months to put our boat onto their website, and longer for them to put it on Craigslist. It was only on their website for a little over a month. My husband had to call more than a 2 dozen times to find out what was going on with our boat. We were never contacted by Ocean Marine about the condition of our boat or anything. We decided to get our boat after a year at Ocean Marine and take it somewhere else to sell. It has completely dry rotted, batteries left on, mold through out the inside of the boat, from not being taken care of at Ocean Marine. I do not recommend them for anything. Horrible experience. I will be contacting the BBB about them.

I have been a service customer of Ocean Marine for several years now and each and every time they have been nothing but professional and prompt with my repairs. They have gone above and beyond what most boat dealerships would normally do for their customers. Their techs have thoroughly checked and discovered issues that could have dire consequences leaving me stranded in a dangerous situation. I recently purchased another boat from Ocean Marine and the owner Keith King, manager Chris Cason and salesperson Rob Pond could not have been more helpful or professional. Their knowledge of boats and the products they sell is exceptional. The entire staff at Ocean Marine is friendly and helpful, this is why I will continue to go there for any boating need in the future. I recommend you do the same!
