We absolutely love NYC! My daughter looks forward to her class and is very excited to spend another summer in their camp program. She talks about Ms Avery her favorite teacher often! I would recommend this dance facility, they have a large variety of class options, days and times for all ages!

We love NYC Dance Company! This is our daughters’ (7 years old) second year and she’s excited to go to class every week! She started with one class and loved it so much, we added a second class this season. Ms. Carlise is a great teacher who leads by example. The staff is always accommodating and fun to chat with. I’m not trying to be mean but NYC Dance is horrible. No technical teaching or moral. I can say we have competed across country and the lesson and technical teaching at other Dance studio in the central Florida is years beyond Nyc. Plus the owner was not one of the stars of her dance team and worked at Disney not as dancer but a ride attendant. Plus their front desk lady pushed a 9 month pregnant lady and that lady was me while holding my 3 years hand.if I could give negative I would.

I started my daughter there with her being very shy and from the time we got there and they went over and beyond to make both of us feel at home I was impressed!! From that time on I have been so happy with her progress and she has opened up so much and has come so far now. I absolutely LOVE her teacher and all the staff as well. They make us feel like family !!

My daughter loves NYC dance! The teachers are patient and professional. The front desk staff is friendly and organized. The entire staff has a passion for dance and truely enjoys their jobs. This shows daily in the interactions they have with both parents and children. We look forward to many years at this studio.

We just started summer classes after a year of being at the studio because my daughter couldn’t go a week without going to dance class or seeing her favorite teachers Ms. cariliz & Ms. Avery. My daughter Blakely has been attending NYC Dance for 3 years now. She does a dance class and attends summer camp (which she loves and wears her out) and allows her to express herself and her creativity. The teachers I believe are all on the competition team which makes it that much more fun and exciting!

Amazing studio,professional staff, clean environment . The staff is beyond talented and their competition team is phenomenal. Miss Kristin & Miss Keri are organized and on top of everything. I would never send my 9 year old anywhere else. Hands down BEST STUDIO in town and I been to many.

Just left the annual rehearsal and heard all about how building self-confidence is one of their key pillars. So why after repeated complaints were 8-10 yrs told they “suck”, that they make their teacher “want to vomit”, that they are “worse than the baby class”? Why did it take so many complaints from several different parent to get a new teacher assigned ? Why did the girls still have to pass by this bully in the halls every time they went to class? How does “disciplining” the teacher include the girls still having to share a dance room with this teacher? Seems to me management’s actions don’t match what they say is important to them.

We love NYC Dance and Ms Avery!! She has taught our daughter Addison so much and Addy loves Ms Avery and Ms Edalys!! It’s a family feel at this studio and our family loves the experience!!!

We have been so happy with the studio and all of the teachers all super talented, everyone there is very friendly . And they put on one of the best most organized Recitals I’ve ever been to :)

We love NYC dance! The staff are so loving and caring. The teachers are great with the kids. They are truly one big family.

This place is a JOKE! It is not a dance class, it is a glorified playtime where kids get to dress in dance clothes, and parents get to spend a lot of money for pathetic results. I never once saw the owner/director, all I saw were very young girls acting as teachers, and I use the term teachers loosely. Three times during the course of the season I pulled one of the 2 teachers aside and advised her that my grand-daughter was turning her feet inward instead outward when attempting her ballet positions, and expressed concern that this could injure her knees and ankles. The first time the girl had the audacity to tell me she doesnt do that in class......in class is where I witnessed it and I told her as much. She promised to work with her......that never happened. One week before the recital I told the other teacher the problem had still not been corrected, of course one week before the recital is a little late. Then, there was the grand debacle of the recital! The costume was $90.00. The first one was too small so they ordered another. The day I picked up the second one I asked the woman at the desk if I should try it on my grand-daughter and make sure it fits. Very adamantly she said, No, it will fit! then bordering on attitude proceeded to convince me that they had tried the size and it fit and this one will fit. Well, on the day of dress rehearsal I put the costume on my grand-daughter and it was HUGE!!! The neck came down below her breasts and the crotch was half way to her knees. She fought tears and I was boiling mad. I managed to pull the straps up and tie them in back with a tiny hair tie that matched the costume. Once we arrived at the rehearsal I had to perform the same trick on 3 other little girls who were in the same situation. The girls went on and did there performances and out of about 20 girls only 2 came close to knowing their dances. And to add insult, all the family members had to pay $22.00 each to see their children perform a less than 2 minute dance, and drive all the way to Celebration High School. Seriously? There are no high schools with decent auditoriums in Orlando or Ocoee? It was ridiculous and my grand-daughter will not be going back, and from what I heard from other mothers at the recital a few other girls will not be going back.

Best studio in town. Besides learning dance moves and technique my daughter has learned so much about discipline, commitment, confidence, self worth, passion, friendship, and sportsmanship. NYC Dance Company above all has given my daughter a passion and a purpose which is all any parent ever wants for their child. She has also made lifetime friends . Nyc Dance Company is not just a team it is a family. The studio offers so much variety in dance genres and levels from the beginner dancer to the serious and advanced dancer making it comfortable for anyone to join at any age. I highly recommend this studio!

I have nothing but good things to say about NYC dance. The teachers and staff are amazing.

NYC Dance Company is place we called home for over 8 years. Unfortunately weve decided to remove our children which broke their hearts because the studio lacks the integrity and mentorship we would expect from any adult supervised business. Most of the 5 stars on this page are either from ( children ) and/ or staff in which a mass email was sent out asking to leave a review to raise their rating. You can confirm by looking at the profiles. They have been through 5 teachers in 3 years, none of them have been willing to even complete an entire season. Ask for the dance owner credentials, she has no formal teaching or dancing education to teach your children. The recreational teachers are actually students with no formal dance backgrounds. These are not teacher assistant; however kids teaching kids. Half of the teaching class is not even in high school. Their once award winning team has dwindle from 50 plus competition level students to 30 and declining. Most of the children have left to other schools such as CFTC or Shooting Stars. Im a father of two beautiful young ladies. Im not a vindictive irate poster. As a father I feel its my obligation to warn you to use your judgement and proceed with caution.
