Staff was polite but when I returned the truck with an almost full tank of gas ($80+) I was told by the gentleman that helped with returning the truck that I would receive a refund for that overage. I never received a refund and when I spoke with the U-Haul corporate customer service, they informed me that they do not issue refunds for gas. Very disappointed since I was told I would receive one.
Apparently replacing all the screws in the bumper during a hitch installation is optional.Feb 3rd- I waited at the UHaul (W Colonial Dr, Ocoee, FL) for 6 hours (11 am- 5 pm nearly 3x longer than quoted) for a hitch installation for relocation travels from Orlando to Dallas. Within the 5-6 hour, I felt so uneasy about the installation process that instead of booking the trailer there at the store, I hopped online and booked a last min Ubox delivery.Feb 6th - While driving we pulled over on the highway serval times and use our hips to ‘click’ the sides back in place.Feb 7th - I reported this issue to Uhaul Customer Service midway through our road trip. I was told that GM Peggy was sent a message and would be in touch first thing Monday. We could not continue our journey to Dallas and remain stopped at a friends near Houston.Feb 10th -(8:30am) I followed up again with UHaul CS and let them know I haven’t heard from Peggy. They sent Peggy another message and I was sent to the Kingwood UHaul location for a great experience. After a lengthy examination, the hitch technician confirmed two structural screws/clamps had not been reinstalled on both sides of the bumper. The tech was really patience showing me things and letting me take photos while he worked. The awesome upbeat General Manger (James) checked all the wiring, blinkers etc. in attempts to provided me peace of mind. He really went out of his way to check other parts of the installation (that he could visually access) was done properly. Unfortunately the Kingwood UHaul location could not secure my bumper and advised me to take my car to the dealership and submit the invoice to UHaul for reimbursement.Feb 10 -(2pm) I called Uhaul CS again to report my finding and confirm that I would be reimbursed. I was *again told that a email was sent to I would Peggy. I expressed that historically, I was confident that I wouldn’t hear back from Peggy. The agent kept me on hold for a while and made contact with Peggy. Allegedly, Peggy reported to the CS agent that she would need a day or so to check in on the matter because the installation tech had already left for the day and/or was off the following.I did my best to secure the bumper with a tape that wouldn’t damage the paint.Feb 12-16 - Winter Storm - No Power- No missed calls or VM from UHaul/Peggy.Feb 17- (9 am-10am) I called every Uhaul number I could find and was in near tears for support as I still couldn’t drive to my relocation destination.Feb 17- (10:30am) Peggy called me and told me to get it fixed and submit for reimbursement. I booked the first available appointment at Jaguar Feb 24th.Feb 21 - UBox Delivery made it to Dallas before us.Feb 23- The bumper flared all the way up on the highway, pieces flew about and was drugged on the highway nearly causing an accident. I immediately called Peggy and she confirmed that she would still reimburse me under the updated circumstance. I know everything is on a recorded line but without anything in writing, I was still uncomfortable paying out of pocket. For peace of mind she volunteered to submit a claim with Repwest. She took down my preferred number and apologized.Feb 26- Repwest left a voicemail... at NOT the number provided.Mar 3- Appointment with Jaguar- the damage too severe/ Received Quote from Caliber Collision for 4,275.01 without disassembly labor or rental car coverage.Mar 5- Repwest said they legally have 30 days to investigate my file and will not cover a rental or storage.Realistically I reported this nearly a month ago, Feb 7th, to Uhaul, and that really should be considered. It is not my fault due diligence was not taken. I was not aware I needed to make a claim, let alone the process, until Feb26th. If I were made aware of this, my file would be 27 days in process.... Now I wait with the only vehicle in our house hold disabled.
Doug (the owner) and the staff were super helpful and friendly at check-in. Returning the vehicle after hours is a breeze using the U-HAUL website. My cargo van was super clean and had less than 3,000 miles it - practically like driving a brand new vehicle!
Waited 40 minutes for propane refill. Never came out to help. 2 outside employees called with radios for propane person. I guess they didnt care about doing a service which they offer. Ended up leaving without tank refilled. Horrible customer service.
Bad customer service experience. Douglas told me to meet him outside for my trailer after check out at the counter. Made I wait outside for more than10 mins while chatting with a hot female customer. Great experience with staff. We came with all of our paperwork and they had us out the door and in the truck we had reserved within 10 minutes of talking to a person inside. There was a mixup on our bill, but staff was very helpful in getting it fixed.
The wait times are unbearable even if you are the only one there and the truck or trailer you need is in stock ive rented about 8 times from them and it has never been under a half hour wait
I had to return to location because the gas and miles were way off. like 80 miles over and gas was half a tank under what they said it was. I came back to show them and they said it was my fault because I didnt do the proper steps on my phone. I had to tell them that no one told me to go over my phone and check all this up and I didnt even have service there. They didnt even apologize. waited like 1 hour to get my truck and the truck was in such terrible condition and smelt like cold cigarette which I dont really care about but i know most people would. I never had any problems at haul expect this location which i rented twice already from and problems each time. next time I will definitely go the extra mile to the u-haul in Clermont.
These reviews with 4-5 stars are killing me.They cannot handle the amount of reservations that come through here. Line long. Everyone frustrated. Definitely not social distancing, we made a reservation online and still waiting 40 mins plus to get the truck. Not to mention we reserved a closer uhaul to our house but they redirected us to this one with ZERO discount to the pay by mile. Which isn’t even the biggest deal. Absolutely ridiculous to wait almost a hour to get a truck with reservation. Save yourself the aggravation. Go somewhere else.Update: we reserved dollies... didn’t get them called in to let them know we didn’t get them yet had to spend an extra 20 minutes back and forth to get the charge off.

My experience at this location was super nice from start to finish. It started with a lady named Peggy who was very nice and informative. I was going to get a unit and down the street, until she told me about their specials, which had me signing up at uhaul in no time. I also spoke with Douglas who was very nice and took the time to get to know my needs and accommodated them with no hassle. While moving into my unit, I met a lady named Nora who gave me a very warm welcome, and made me feel like I was right at home. The last person I interacted with was Carl, he helped me return my truck making the process very thoughtless and hasslefree. Thank you all very much for the great experience!! Everyone should come to this location for their truck rental and storage needs.
Told by the lady behind the counter come back because they were too busy fill my propane tanks. Im sure the service for the U-Haul trucks maybe better. Go to the hardware store off of Daniels Road to get propane. Dont waste your time here.
This was my first time dealing with this location. I have used uhaul trailers in the past and really never had any problems.Peggy the manager was very polite and easy to talk to. She was very busy when I was there but she served all the customers very nicely and professional.Rafael helped me with my trailer hookup and was a great young guy.He gave his testimony to me and was very thankful for his job and was a blessing to talk with. He is a young Christian trying to provide for his family and loving life.Great overall experience dealing with this location.I would most definitely use them again.Great job by both employees that I came in contact with today.

I rarely do reviews for anyone but when you have an experience thats absolutely mind-blowing its only appropriate to take a moment to let others know about your experience! U-Haul thats located in Ocoee right off Highway 50 has the most exceptional customer service. I had the pleasure working with Doug at U-Haul on Sunday there really isnt words share my experience Doug was absolutely amazing he was very understanding and even stayed open a little longer to help me with my needs. They definitely have more than enough rental equipment including storage and trucks so a last-minute move was definitely the right pic when I went to U-Haul located at 11410 Highway 50 Doug is the best. Thanks again your U-Haul team!!
The processes and manpower to handle the workload at this location are certainly not up to speed. It should not take 45 minutes to rent a trailer that I had already set up a reservation for the day before and was there 15 minutes early to pick up. The computers are slow, the people are trying to be nice but due to the workload simply cannot, and every single person there was upset due to it. I really feel bad for everyone involved.

I would go out of my way to go to this location! Everyone is super nice...the customer service is excellent! I work in the customer service industry as a manager...very impressed with how everything went from start to finish. The crew was also very friendly to one another while I was there. My tow hitch had a sagging electric line and they were more than happy/friendly/willing to fix it at my convenience! That entire experience lasted not long enough for me to go use the bathroom. They know what they are doing, and do it well. I will tell my friends to go there.
Need employees that will be able to take a request when I ask for a newer truck. Never have I been to a uhaul place where they did not take me serious. I asked 2 employees for a newer truck since I was going to Ocala and I’ve always had bad problems with older trucks. One guy wasn’t listening to me when I asked and the other guy who brought me the truck told me that’s what I get. Since the other guy charged me for in town 26foot truck. I lost a lot of money. And I didn’t even get to use the truck for that long. Got on the highway and broke down. I put 75 dollars worth of gas and only got 20 dollars of gas refund. I understand that they have a policy of no refund if I over fill the truck but I didn’t get to use the truck. Wasted/lost 9 hours total waiting on tow truck. Very piss.
A bit thanks to Peggy. We came in from out of town due to an accident. Long story short, we needed a trailer hitch and a trailer. This is just a few days before Hurricane Irma. She was running herself ragged. She gave me the expectation that the installation could not be done until the next day. Not what I wanted to hear, but considering all that was going on, it was acceptable. I get a call 3 hours later that it was ready to go. WOW! She got it done, with all the extra customers, before the time I expected. Very very very impressed with her and her team.
This location has the worst customer service of any u haul I have ever dealt with. When you make a reservation you expect for the reservation to be honored, or you upgrade to the next largest size. Or if the reservation is being delayed you call and let the client know. Not give a smaller size, which is clearly marked for no large furniture. In addition, we called them this morning, around 30 minutes before we went to pick up, and no one said anything then either. If a person has a contract and fails to return, you dont just sit on it, you contact the person and tell them either return it, let you know need it an extra day. Or tell them the deposit is full and void, and they will be charged the full price for replacing the truck.

A Uhaul truck is a Uhaul truck. What separates this place from the rest is the excellent service and courteous staff. They have ample employees to minimize your wait time. The rental truck was clean and safe to operate. The return was a breeze. I would certainly rent from them again.
Very horrible customer service from Shirley Guido. Waited in line for nothing. Was not greeted by her. Then only for the original customer to jump right back in front of me. Now I have no problem with him reclaiming his place in line but she let me stand in front of her for a while and didnt say she was still working with the gentleman. Only takes one rude person at a business for me to not want to come back. If you happen to be using them for any purchase, definitely wait on the other young lady.

Too slow. Rented a truck to move from winter garden storage to Apopka storage and made me late for my storage appointment
I will start of by saying to N E V E R use this location.The moment I walked in, the little Hispanic lady-man was really rude. She was bothered every second I was there checking in - all the while playing “trap” reggaeton music (which out loud to where everyone can hear is absolutely disrespectful and by no means is any way ANY EMPLOYEE should behave). She doesn’t deserve her job.Second. I reserved a truck that was shorter than I expected it to be. So I did my due diligence and called - FROM THE PARKING lot - after hours to find out if it was possible to move my reservation to a location down the street. I was there at 10pm and ended my phone call around 12am - in the parking lot. The moral of the situation is that a supervisor switched my reservation to a larger truck, said I wouldn’t be charged and canceled the reservation. It’s now 1am at this point and I’m outside in the pitch black in PINE HILLS waiting to get into a truck to which I then get told I need to come back in the morning since my pictures don’t match!?? Makes no sense. So by 2am now that I’m off of the phone and have my reservation moved to the next day. Fast forward to 7pm or 8pm, I am back to going to pick up the truck and low and behold - I still can’t get it! I called and cancelled the reservation and made a new one under my husband’s name BACK at the original location (this one). We were able to get the beat up truck, no issue with him.Now, mind you I made these reservations back on May 28. I receive an email on 5/29 with a payment confirmation of charges equating to $42. Need I remind you that I never turned on this truck. It sat ON CAMERA unmoved.I called and was told the charges should not be there and that it would be reversed. Great.Fast forward AGAIN to June 13. I call and I’m told that PEGGY took it upon herself to say that I used the truck and she would ONLY refund $29.95 and will be keeping the rest. Need I say that I never received a call to say that? Nor did I receive any such refund?Anyways. The guy I spoke with, Jim Carroll, “escalated the issue” to some team for review and to have all calls listened to to figure out how to give me my $42 back. It’s now June 23rd and here I am. On hold for U Hauls customer service at 20 mins in and it’s begging for a review. So... U Haul. Here is your review. I hope that it serves you well and that other people are aware of the GREAT disservice you have provided me. I will surely let anyone I know of this and I will steer very, VERY clear of using u haul. This is one of the worst experiences I have had in my life. This is pathetic over 42 damn dollars.

Not enough employees for amount of work. They have one poor woman running back and forth between counters while 10+ wait in line. No matter if your truck is reserved befote hand, it WILL take 30+ minutes every time to pick up a reservation.
If youre on a schedule and need a truck/van I would not recommend this location. General manager is horrible.
Terrible service the lady manager at that location was very rude unprofessional she was more concerned with going home than trying to help me with my needs. I went to have an hitch installed on my 2018 jeep JL and I asked if they would have the correct wiring for my new Jeep they twice said yes no problem when they started installing they said o by the way if you want it plug and play we need to charge you and extra 25 dollars. I asked them well why would I pay for that extra I asked if you had the correct wire harness for my 2018 jeep JL and you said yes. She responded well we can splice into you factory wire harnes.I was so mad they made me waist over 1hr for nothing obvious I did not let them splice the wires and got my money back.Terrible place would not recommend.

Made an appt to have a hitch put on 7am. Got a call ahead my parts were in and was told not to come in that early if I was waiting and to come in between 8 and 9. I get there at 845 and am told that I am late and now I will have to wait could be a few hours. Manager essentially calls me a liar and says no one would have said that. She reiterated my appt was 7am. I spoke with DM he apologizes and offers me 25% off because of inconvenience, fine I go back at 11am when I was told. Pick up the car and the hitch is not as described from speaking with the original guy who or ordered parts and set up appointment it would use the existing manufacturers cut out. The hitch is mounted under the car..... What a wasted day off. Be aware that they only use the hitches that mount under the car here. They do not work with existing cut outs. Just pay a little more and go with the dealer so its done right.
Charged 80$ more than originally quoted. Waited in line for an hour past scheduled pickup time. Charged for additional dolly and blankets then not allowed to use the ones already in the truck but also not allowed to take them out, effectively charging me 30$ more than needed on top of the 80$ discrepancy above) while also wasting space in the truck. Parking here is non-existent. Employees here are noticeably overworked and stressed.

I would love to thank Peggy for coming through and providing exceptional service. I walked in there in a panic after holding a reservation with Budget down the road from UHAUL, who ended up not having a truck for me and failed to notify me of the lack of availability. Peggy was able to get me a truck even though I did not have a reservation with UHAUL and I was able to meet the movers at my apartment. From here on out I am just going to stick with renting moving trucks through UHAUL.
During the hurricane these people were working their butt off to help customers prepare. Thank you!

My daughter and Son in Law stopping in to see about a hitch. The did not have a hitch for their Rogue but they obtained one from another store location. They also did not have the wiring harness so one had to be ordered. The arrive at 1 pm on 7/21/2014 to have their hitch installed so they can pack and leave for Kansas early in the morning 7/22/2014. It is now 6:30 PM and they still have not installed their hitch! These peopl at this Uhaul apparently do not know the butts from a hole in the ground! 6 hours and it still has not been installed! INCOMPETENT!!!! I will not ever shop there nor recommend this franchise!

This ws my first experience with uhaul and I was worried after seeing horror stories online but everyone was very helpful and answered all my questions. They sell a lot of products for moving or storage and most of them are better quality and cheaper than big chain stores.
Bought moving boxes and the prices were great. Cheapest I have found.
