First time here, and there were so many things to look at. I felt like the kid in the candy store, and enjoyed rummaging through the boxes for some great finds to add to my collection. Not exactly close by as I live in Milwaukee but next time I’m in the area, will definitely check it out again!!!

This is one of the best comic book stores Ive ever been to, and Ive been to a lot! Love the huge collection of comics, but also action figures, art, video games, and the list keeps going on! Im not close to here at all, but I always try to go out of my way to visit every now and then. The staff are always super helpful and fun to talk to. If they dont have what youre looking for, you probably dont need it! :)

Pros:1. A big selection of comic books and toys for a comic book store located in Wisconsin.Cons:1. The prices are terrible. I can order anything online AND pay for shipping for cheaper than most items in the store. Example: The ratio comic books and wall books. Zero discount for big purchases or new weekly releases. Lack of sales.2. There are boxes of comics books you can not look at and the employees will get mad when you do.3. Bad communication on social media.Overall it is a great place to visit and look at everything once but not worth your money to purchase anything. Find a comic book store online or through ebay and get your items there regularly instead. It will save you a ton of money and time.

Amazing! Incredible! Invincible! Walking into Kowabunga Comics is like entering comic book heaven. There are comics EVERYWHERE, all extremely organized and all incredibly priced. If youre a fan at all of comics, do yourself a favor and visit now! Its my new favorite!

Enough cant be said about this place. The staff are very knowledgeable and welcoming, whether youre a regular or a first time buyer. They will quickly answer any and all questions, or look up the answers to help you out in any way they can. The inventory is a a pure dreamscape and a plethora of treasures also! If you want a local comic book store to support and to feel like home I highly recommend Kowabunga comics!

Amazing experience from start to finish. Walked in and they have such a vast inventory of back issues, graphic novels, collectables, games, video games, monthly issues, and graded issues. This was my first time ever in a dedicated comic shop. I dove into comics few days earlier with a buy into a few series but didnt know much. Went here and Sam was an amazing gate keeper to such a vast and intimidating hobby. He asked every single question I had with happiness. He asked me what character and series I started. And recommended other series or complete collections of over series for my character(green arrow). I expected to buy 1 or 2 issues I was looking for with my rookie collection. But I ended up getting the real first issue for my main series ( green arrow rebirth) bought the first 2 new 52 green arrow. Bought 2 bundles for the long bow hunters and brightest days. Also showed me the 1 dollar room since I asked if there was a budget room. Even in there it was jam packed with everything you could imagine. Picked out a couple cool old teen titans books from the 1980s which I thought was cool. Sam did the perfect job making a life time customer. He also helped me find the rebirth first issue for the blue beetle which isnt a common asked about character. Made me feel special about a niche character and he gave me the issue for free. I had already payed for my stack of stuff and asked about that as I was leaving. I cant recommend this place enough for new collectors and experienced collectors who havent been here enough. Not from the area,but as an avid collector being in the area for a few days, decided to check it out. Was very surprised by the amount of comics. Very large selection of collectables. Had to stop myself before I went broke. All in all a very nice store and great experience. If ever back here again I will definitely be stopping back in.

Kowabunga has at least a little bit of everything and is worth exploring. The owner specializes in comics and is very knowledgeable. He is resourceful where if he doesnt have the direct answer or product, he can either get the product for you or point you in the right direction. It is worth keeping an eye on their news because they do comic book days and sometimes have special guests from the comic community.

This store is always a pleasure to go to. The staff is very friendly and go out of their way to help you find what you need. Its a clean atmosphere with a range of different genres for every comic fan!

Amazing store! They just changed locations to a much bigger store, which better showcases their huge collection of comics and games. The staff is helpful and eager to connect with you on a personal level, which really makes you feel welcome. Ill definitely be returning

I have only been to this shop a few times now. But in the short time that I have been going to the shop, I have never felt more comfortable with another owner or worker in this type of market like I have with James. He obviously takes his profession very serious and does a great amount of homework about the industry. James is very knowledgeable, willing to help, and friendly. Above all, James has a great personality. In the few times that I have interacted with him, I feel as though I have known him for years. His store has a vast selection of new items, as well as many high grade back issues. Besides that, he diversifies his store with different card based games, video games, and numerous other collectibles. I truly enjoy every experience that Ive had going to Kowabunga Comics. I have never left the store feeling as though I have been cheated. Moreover, I have learned a great deal from James in the short time that I have known him. Kowabunga Comics will be my home comic book store from now on. Thank you James for being an all around great guy!

A fantastic shop. They have some of the best customer service. They have a wide amount of comics. They also have a decent amount of singles and fantastic prices. They run a great amount of gaming events from Pokemon to Magic. If your in town and love comics or tabletop games check them out!

Finally decide to sell my old collection from 80s & 90s. I got a very fair price for the set. James explained his whole process, which comics had the best value, why, and how he graded. While he was going through the collection, I browsed through the store. They have a lot of merchandise and interesting books.

Incredible Customer Service - My husband loves Kowabunga Comics and when seeking out an anniversary present for him, James at Kowabunga Comics was exceptional. He helped me locate several of the comics on his wish list (pulling them for me in advance) and even followed up with me 5 days later when they had a collection come in containing some of the ones I was looking for. James was patient and explained comic ratings and what to look for so that I could ensure my husband loved his present. The gift was a huge hit thanks to the help I received from James.

Chill place, store owner is nice and will let you look without trying to sell you his car.People there are really into the stuff they do, specially 40k and mtg. Cant speak for the comics, which they have a ton of.Would recommend a sign or something though. The place is pretty hidden and you park like youre going in a drive through.Maybe an online inventory too or im just unable to find it on the site.

Went here on a whim, the staff was knowledgeable and the space is welcoming. Lots of cool stuff to occupy your time, the kids loved it and the wife had to drag me out kicking and screaming.

A great place for anyone even vaguely interested in nerd culture. The have a great variety of things from comics (of course), retro games (nes-ps1 area), board games and tabletop RPGs, TCGs, and more! The employees are nice and knowledgeable. They host frequent events for pretty much everything. And the prices are pretty good only being a little bit more than online or larger retailers but the service and experience is definitely worth it. Ive been supporting them for years and will continue to do so.

James is super cool, pre-orders books as needed. Fair prices, awesome wall collection of the more high end books & variants. Highly recommend!

Great store, and I am only compelled to write a review after the last reviewer (the only non five star reviewer) left 2 stars. I was in the store playing Magic when he was in there; he was combative and rude and did not understand that not every Magic the Gathering format is not a draft, and requires a deck. I saw the staff offer to help him build one, and have him come back another day to teach him the differences in formats and such. Some people just operate on a different plane of reality.That out of the way there is a reason the store has grown so much in the last 9 months: they have great products and even better service.

This is a top-notch store with excellent selection and friendly staff. Every time I have visited the store, I’ve had positive experiences with the owners, who are willing to help you find what you need. There is a nice variety of new comics, back issues, graded issues, trade paperbacks, action figures, Pokémon and Magic cards, and general memorabilia. Their new location is spacious and has plenty of parking. If you collect back issues, it is certainly worth a visit to this store because the owners are constantly finding new stock of key issues, including quite a few high end and CGC graded books. I always enjoy coming to Kowabunga!

This is BY FAR the Best Comic/Gaming store in the state.. maybe in the country. James is THE MAN!
