I have been going to this establishment for over 40 years. My dad was one of the people who built the awning between the stores when L.D. Newman first opened the store.Sure the store is a little run down, but Sam and his family have been able to keep pricing down and will order specialty items if you ask. I love the store and the folks that run it... Really good people.

So convenient out here in Gardendale.. Always makes me smile if not laugh every time I go there. Very kind & helpful.. he always has my root beer & plenty of cold jaeger and whatever else one might feel the urge to drink..He recently remodeled the place. Opening & brightening up the inside as well as creating an eye catching curb appeal update on the outside. Between EZ Way & Gdale Grocery I don’t have to mess w/ going to town! 😁🙌🏼🥰💯
