In 2013, three companies merged under the new name Permian Basin Materials, LLC. This led to three separate cultures merging to create a new culture rather than one taking over the others. Additionally corporate debt was added, something that none of the individual entities had had to previously deal with. To manage the new larger structure, new systems and processes were implemented.Change is not easy, especially when coupled with new technology. In my opinion when PB Materials took over Wallach Concrete, Highland Concrete and Crockett County Mining the employee became unimportant. All the employees that helped build these companies that PB wanted to purchase were thrown out after the merge of the 3 were complete. No loyalty no respect!
