Dr. Phillips and her staff couldnt be more wonderful. Ive been a patient for 20 years and theyre professional, friendly, knowledgeable and willing to help in even the craziest of situations. I would, and do, recommend them to everyone!

My prescription is from Malaysia, so I got glared at when I handed it over to the staff. Yes, I have a passport! And yes, planes fly that far nowadays! When I asked how thick my replacement lenses would be, the lady told me that they would be thinner than what I would get outside the US because they dont meet safety standards outside the US! Pathetic!

Capital Area Vision Center is hands down the best optometry center I’ve ever been to. Dr. Phillips and her team are professional and compassionate. They treated me with care and were so patient with me. Every time I visit Capital Area Vision Center I am warmly welcomed and treated with the utmost care and respect. You will not be disappointed receiving eye care here, I highly recommend it!

We have been going here for years. Dr. Phillips is a great source an knowledge and was an excellent resource when my son faced some serious vision issues. Dr. Phillips referred us to the right specialists and yet still stayed current on his treatment. The gals that work there are amazing as well. They faithfully kept my sons glasses adjusted even when that meant coming in each and every week and some weeks we made multiple trips. They were amazingly patient with my son from the first day he started wearing glasses at 15 months of age. They have kept a very active boy in well fitting glasses ever since.

Great experience as always! I absolutely love Dr. Phillips and her staff. They are always so friendly and professional; they always go above and beyond to make sure all of my needs are met and I am satisfied. Dr. Phillips was kind enough to keep the office open late for me since I was coming from out of town. Dr. Phillips and the staff make sure to explain everything and why it is important for the health of your eyes. I have a difficult prescription so Dr. Phillips worked with me to find the perfect contacts that would provide me with the best vision and comfort. They also have the best selection of glasses, all of the frames are adorable. I always have the hardest time choosing luckily the staff has great fashion advice!I will always travel to see Dr. Phillips, I wouldnt trust my vision with anyone else she truly is the Best! I wish I enjoyed going to all of my doctors as much as I enjoy going to Dr. Phillips.

Professional and thoughtful staff. They were excellent with my 16 month old daughters first eye exam. My husband and I are patients as well. We love this place! They take the time to explain everything and are timely and courteous. I highly recommend this office.

We have been going to this office for just over 2 years and love it! My daughter was 5 when we found out she needed a heavy prescription, Dr. Phillips has always taken her time with us and explained things well. She has also had her staff work with us on contact for sports when we asked about it, having them take the time to show us how to put them in and take them out and even one staff member working with my daughter a few months ago on putting them in and taking them out herself. They took as much time as my daughter needed. They have worked with us a lot and we truly appreciate it! They also get us in as soon as possible when its needed. My 4 year old loves going there as well, she loves the toys and the staff, they are all so kind!

I have been a client since they opened and their service has been consistently the most professional service Ive had for eye care. Dr. Phillips is knowledgeable and keeps up on not only the latest medical news but also the best equipment to diagnose medical issues pro-actively. Her staff is kind, professional and attentive to detail. If you want excellent care, this is the place.

I brought my Mom (in a wheelchair) and my son for exams and new glasses. The optical assistant and Dr. Phillips were wonderful with my Mom and all the special accommodations needed. Dr. Phillips always takes time to explain things to us and she is very thorough. The frame selection is amazing and I got two new pairs! I love both of them and I am getting lots of compliments!!

I wouldnt go anywhere else. Dr. Phillips truly cares about her patients, she takes her time to listen and thoroughly explain everything. My kids love going here, shes absolutely amazing with kids! The Opticians are very knowledgeable to whats in-style, they are very honest about how my eye wear actually looks like and fits my face, they dont just agree with me because I like the frame.

Dr. Phillips and Staff are outstanding! They took the time to give me a high quality exam. I never felt rushed and all my questions were answered. When I left the office I knew my vision was safe and I was healthy. I cant say enough good things about Capital City Vision. If youre tired of the mediocre care you receive at the chains, schedule an appointment and get real eye care!!

I went in 15 minutes before closing on a Monday night. Someone at the front desk was very polite and helpful. She fixed my broken glasses in a matter of minutes by replacing the pin that had fallen out. She went above and beyond and replaced the nose pads too since one was also broken. Was not expecting such great service when I am not a regular customer and I came in right before closing.

Great place to get an exam and new glasses or contact. All the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. They have a great selection of glasses to choose from and also periodically bring in vendors to make an even wider variety available.

After receiving my classes, I came home to realize that one of the lenses was damaged. The Center ordered new ones. Once these came in, one of them was damaged again while trying to insert them into the frame. Had to wait another 6 days to receive my glasses. When I picked them up, they were dirty and the box was damaged. Not worth $400 glasses. Will not return.

Pros: Nice looking officeCons:They will push you into non necessary procedures like testing with new equipment that does not give better diagnostic vc regular tools.THEY DO NOT HAVE PRICES ON FRAMES!!!They tell you price depending on your look!!!They will ask your occupation and based on that tell you price. ))

Great practice! Very professional and caring. Dr. Phillips is extremely knowledgeable and her staff is incredibly helpful. Will continue to go back and look forward to refering my family and friends!

I have been a customer there for years without much complaint but I had a biking accident last night where by glasses got severely scratched. I went to get new lenses at one of those same day glasses places but my prescription is out of date by 6 months. I called Capitol City Vision and was just told they don’t extend prescriptions past 1 year and they can’t even see me for a week and half. So apparently I’m suppose to just try to see out of 1 lense till then.Dr. Phillip is great but I’ll be looking for a new doctor since her office isn’t willing to help when you actually need them.Emily (Katz) Farrington

I have been going here for over 5 years. I stumbled upon this clinic when I suffered an eye injury and have stuck with them ever since! They have been very helpful and kind and always keep me posted on new developments in the contact world for those of us who suffer from chronic dry eye. The staff has always worked with me and my ever changing insurance coverage. Definitely recommend!

Always very professional, thorough, knowledgeable and caring. They have all the latest diagnostic equipment, too.

Doctor and staff are rude and condescending. Frame and lens prices are 2 to 3 times more expensive than anywhere else. They have new equipment that they charge extra for, without asking you up front. They refuse to resolve billing issues, and send you to a collection agency without trying to resolve issues.
