I had recently received a poor highlight job from a different salon (not Ulta), and Jen saved the day! She knew just what to do after a quick consultation and completely revived my hair! I am SO grateful ☺️
I love this store so much. I buy all my products from there. however I had a really bad experience with my hair. I didnt get what I wanted at all. I told her and she was super friendly with it she tried to fix it but still not what I wanted. I would never dye my hair there again. but I really appreciate your Customer service.
Get a brow wax by Rebekah! She is friendly and does a great job. I went somewhere else once for a cheaper cost and immediately regretted it. This is my go-to place for a brow wax.
Worst ulta ever. Prices are ridiculous, and the staff is horrible. The manager is unbelievably rude! She basically screamed at some high school girls in the store for no reason at all, they weren’t stealing or destroying anything, they were just browsing. Absolutely ridiculous. I will never be going to this ulta again.
I went up to the cashier, Madison to pay for my items, and there was nothing wrong at all with the 30 min that I was in there, but the cashier was not polite instead she acted with little knowledge on how to treat a customer. She was whispering and talking so fast that I barely understood what she was saying. She was not customer service- oriented. I understand this because I currently work retail myself and I know that that is no way to talk to a customer, and when it was her turn to give me my plastic bag she threw it at me. And as I was walking away she mumbled with a bad tone to her voice “What’s her problem?” Very disrespectful

Super nice reps. I also feel comfortable asking their opinions, as they are pretty knowledgeable and if unsure, will find someone who is. I love that. Instead of faking it, they let someone more informed help. Some may feel passed off, but I think its better to get the info I need.

Since the pandemic I dont think the people are as nice when trying to match your color they just expect you to bring it back. But bought some mens cologne today and the lady was very helpful. They have some good sales right now buy one get one half off on some brands like NYX.
I went in a couple weeks ago for my regular foundation and a couple palettes. I knew my shade seashell in born this way foundation. The guy that wouldnt was working wouldnt stop talking over me and telling me no no no honey thats not right and hands me Snow which wouldnt be bad, I know I get pasty during winter months but being half hispanic I tan during the summer. So now Im stuck with a to light of a foundation because I wont be going to Olathe anytime soon, only stopped by on our way to get my father in-law from the heart hospital.
I came in tonight needing serious skin/makeup help and Camille was absolutely incredible. She went above and beyond helping me find the solutions to my problems and I am so excited about my purchases. I went in to buy one thing and left with 3- not because she was pushy, she was just knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Give this girl a raise! She’s 5 stars across the board.
I went to this salon 3 weeks ago. It was the worst experience ever for my hair 😪 .
I wanted to come here to leave a review for the manager Shelly Smith. I had placed an online order and realized afterwards I ordered the wrong item. When I called the store (parked out front ready to pick up my order) to see if they could easily swap it out, Shelly explained to me how it wasnt possible but shared a few options I could take. I opted to cancel the order and replace it online, hoping it would be a quick turnaround since I had my 2 kiddos with me and felt awful making them stay in the car longer than needed. By time we got our lunch through a drive thru, I was notified my order was ready for pick up! I drove back over and got my new order.... However, once arriving home, Shelly called to inform me I actually had my OLD order and asked if I would be able to come back to the store. When I explained how I really didnt want to make the trek back with both kiddos, I asked if she could meet me in the middle somewhere. Without hesitation, she said, absolutely! When I met her, she even included quite a few freebies due to the craziness of my orders. I was definitely impressed! Thanks so much!!❤️

There were two ladies there, Frankie and I can’t remember the other one. I feel awful for it, but both of them were hyping me up and making feel beautiful. These women are great. Great shopping atmosphere, I buy stuff for my acne and one of the ladies there is also amazing. I love that store. 😭 I hope y’all are giving those ladies raises!

I would give 0 stars if I could. I drove over an hour for my hair appointment to wait and sit for 30 minutes. I was finally able to find someone to be told my appointment had been canceled and that I was called. The number they called wasn’t mine and the girl was super rude and acted like I was bothering her. I was getting my hair done for my graduation pictures and leaving the state the next day to get them done. Luckily I was able to go to Beauty Brands nearby where they were able to fit me in. Courtney stayed late to do my hair and truly made me feel special. I will never go to Ulta again after being a customer for over 10 years.

Love the skin care items, everyone was very helpful. I cant remember who exactly helped me pick out my skin care items, I believe it was Matt but not a 100%... Matt was very helpful and patient. Great first experience in there.
I love this store. It’s huge with so much variety, and the workers are friendly. The people there helped me find exactly what I needed, and made excellent recommendations that I have repurchased! Don’t even bother going to the one in Overland Park. It’s smaller, and it doesn’t have everything you might need. It’s worth it to go to Olathe. Fantastic selection, well organized, with knowledgeable staff to guide you through all your beauty needs
When I shop at Ulta I love to look at everything. I am there for the shopping experience to learn about new lines and products in every every area in the store. I love friendly faces and people. It does make me feel uncomfortable when there is someone asking me if need help every 30 seconds to a minute. I rarely shop at my favorite brands because it is so saturated with sales reps that try and tell you their product is better. I know what I want and know what I love and I do like to continue to explore all of the new items. I want to read and touch feel smell with a ton of time to think. I love to ask question without their opinion being forced on me. Also, when someone loudly greets me at the entrance door before I even make it to the products with what an aggressive can I help you and proceeds to push and guide and send me in a specific direction it makes me want to turn around and leave immediately. So I grab what I need and get out. I do like to say Hi to the wonderful Clinique lady that has such warmth and a genuine smile and caring manner. She makes me feel welcome to come on in and make myself at home in the store browse explore and educate myself. The store is beyond beautiful with so much to see and I want to see it all. I do find myself shopping online every week so I can learn without pressure and uninvited persuasion.
Camille was super sweet! She gave me some great tips on the setting sprays and I really appreciated the attention she gave me. She made sure I was getting my moneys worth without spending my whole paycheck on one product.
Nobody is friendly in this store. I was in there a bit ago and I was going to buy a specific lotion. I wanted to smell it first and the one I grabbed was already open. A worker walked by and grabbed it out of my hands and told me it wasn’t a tester. Even though I planned to buy it and it was already open. I left the store immediately.

I love this store all together. But I have to shout out Brittany in the salon. She is amazing and always does what’s best for my hair and meets my wants. She educates me and talks to me about everything she is gonna do before she does it and while she is doing it. I am in cosmetology school and I have to say that Brittany inspires me to be an amazing stylist one day too. I will always get my hair done by her.
Love the chain, wont return to this locationI visited this store instead of my usual Ulta and was pleased to find the same excellent prices and beautiful makeup. Staff was very nice.Wouldve given 5 stars, but then I got home and realized an item that I intended to buy wasnt in my bag. I double-checked the receipt; sure enough, I had paid for the item, but did not receive it. No big deal yet - I just called them and informed them of the situation. The person on the other end of the phone (again, very polite) insisted that the footage showed the item making it in my bag (though she also mentioned someone putting the exact same item back on the shelf . . . hmmm). Ive scoured everywhere the bag was, and I definitely did not receive my item.I get it - they dont want people to steal, and they dont know me to know that Im no thief. Its just very frustrating that theyre keeping my money for an item that I definitely dont have. This has never happened at any other Ulta location Ive been to (or any other store, for that matter). Needless to say, Ill stick to my normal store from now on - I recieve what Ive paid for there.
I had the best first hair product shopping experience ever. I walked in and a nice lady was quick to hear what I needed, walked me to someone who could help, who listened to my needs and then called over a third woman named Ashlynn who had hair similar to mine. I told her my budget, my needs, and deferred to her completely on purchase suggestion. She was helpful, even offered to leave the cash register to go get the correct product I needed for my hair (because what I grabbed was the wrong one), and then was just totally awesome. I left and it did exactly what she said it would. Will only shop here because of the fantastic customer service, staff knowledge, and attention to detail when selecting a product.
I went to this Ulta specifically for Matt, who works at their clinique counter. I called over a month before to have my make-up done for my wedding. He did a beautiful job. I dont wear make-up besides Mascara and chap stick. Ill upload pictures to show normal me versus Matts magic. Amazing!!!
Sure didnt have any back stock, I wanted 2 shampoo and a conditioner thinking it was buy 2 and get one free to find out was the was not including the shampoo and conditioner, even tho where the shampoo and conditioner was stocked the was a sign saying it. We were told it was for other styling gels, etc. Only left with the only shampoo bottle they had.
Frequent shopper but would be nice to get more help on the drugstore side. Very helpful if buying on prestige makeup side.
I go to Ulta Olathe to get my hair styled. Blake is my fave, but all listen and are skilled at translating, “I want it like THIS” (make hand motions, show pics from 10 yrs ago...) No one even mentions that I’m usually wearing pajama bottoms (hey...it’s Relax Time :)) No upselling; though by the time I make it back to the entrance I’ve found something I MUST have. If I’m barking up the wrong tree...clerks are gentle and kind (I’m old ;)) about alternate suggestions. Reasonable prices, great selection, great staff...and again ask for Blake if you need a great cut.

Tons of product! Which is good but I think it is overwhelming. I dont mind being overwhelmed if there is someone to help me. However, the one person who finally offered to help me acted as if she didnt have time to do so. So, I left.

I recently visited this location about two weeks ago and was greeted when I walked in, the environment is judgement free. The staff was super helpful and nice enough to ask if I needed help picking out items and explained the items to me. clean environment, unlike other beauty stores Ive seen.

I was talking to a woman about vitamin c oil, retinol, and microneedling when a shorter blonde walked up behind me very snappy about the absorbability of retinol when she had no idea what we were talking about. Literally just left the store because of it. Extremely unprofessional.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed in how I was treated yesterday at Ulta. Let me preface this by saying that as a busy mom of five, I never have time to myself. I havent had a haircut in over two years. I made an appointment at this salon in Olathe (even though I live in a different city) because I had no idea where to go, and my sister goes here regularly and is always happy with her hair. Even though the price was over twice as much as Im used to paying, my husband and I decided it was worth it since this only happens once every several years. Unfortunately, we got a little lost (my mom and I) trying to find the salon, so I was about five minutes late. I walked in at 4:20 for my 4:15 appointment. There was a lady in front of me paying, so I waited in line behind her. About a minute later, a woman sees me and asks me if I have an appointment. I tell her yes and give her my name. She looks me up and gives me a look, and tells me shell tell my stylist that Im here. I wait for a couple minutes, striking up a conversation with a couple other ladies in the meantime. A minute or two later, she comes out, tells me that because Im pretty much ten minutes late to my appointment, I cant be seen today. She told me she could reschedule me, but I told her I didnt live here so that wouldnt work. I probably should have fought my case a little, but I was so caught off guard and embarrassed (she was saying all of this very loudly as there were a lot of people around), I just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. I talked to my sister who goes here regularly, who tells me she usually has to wait ten or so minutes after her scheduled appointment time to be called back. And I wasnt ten minutes late, I was five minutes late. By the time she told me I couldnt be seen, it had been about eight minutes, but thats because she was in the back getting my stylist. I will not be returning, and my sister will also be finding a new place to get her hair done. Im sure they are great at what they do, but I was not treated well as a customer. My other sister got her hair done yesterday at Beauty Brands, and I booked an appointment there for almost $25 cheaper, and I feel much more confident they will treat me better.

Horrible experience! I need to be matched for eye brows and it’s extremely hot in there and they had one person working the floor! I asked for someone and they said they will get some one but I have to wait and also ask hey we’re rude to me and also I was waiting there for 20 minutes already

Matt had my list taken care of in no time flat, i litterally woulve been there a few hours trying to figure out where all those things were for my woman lol thanks again matt you rock! And the rest of the staff were very freindly too, i was still browsing coming up with my own things to get her and they made sure i was taken care of, very good experience for someone walking in with no knowledge of what i was getting!

Pretty terrible salon experience. The original girl who did my hair was extremely sweet but ultimately - she did a bad job. She tried to fix a poor color job but it did nothing to correct the problem, and they let me leave the salon looking pretty bad. The next morning I came in and had another girl work on it, so my hair is passable now but still nothing like what I had asked for. No one offered me a refund. I had to call and go into the store a third time to be refunded.If you are looking for a new salon I would steer clear honestly. It felt like a pretty low end experience, they put heat on your hair without products, the covers they put over you to keep hair off your clothes have noticeable bits of other peoples hair on them from previous clients. These are issues I could sort of let slide except they charge as much as much nicer salons and its about on par with a great clips or super cuts. Stick to Ulta for your beauty products, ladies.

Terrible customer service. Placed an online order for pickup. I was given an option for an alternate pickup person. I put my husband down and when he got there they gave him a hard time saying I needed to be there. Even providing his ID (that matched alternate pickup person info) and the barcode needed to pickup he waited forever to pickup the order!

First I want to advise people not to use the online appointment scheduler, But once I got passed the confusion of the appointment Alyssa was great she took her time to work with my hair. And I am hard to please.

Today was my first time at this location. Nicole was my hair stylist. I was very pleased with how knowledgeable she was in regard to what I was asking for. I told her what I wanted and she explained to me her thoughts on the decision. I am glad she did because I ended up sticking with what I normally do. I feel if I had been anywhere else, they would have just done what I wanted, and ultimately, me not being happy. Nicole not only took the time to explain things to me, she was also detail oriented in everything from cutting my hair to washing my hair. The fact that she took the time, shows me she takes pride in her work. In addition, she offered me something to drink, which the previous Ulta location Ive used never did.During my same trip, I went to look at facial products. I cant remember the sales associates name, but this person helped me find what should be appropriate for my skin type. The time was taken to explain to me why this product would be best for me in comparison to what was previously suggested for me.In all, I like the location, size, atmosphere, and customer service this Ulta has to offer. The dynamic of the salon team created a place that I liked being at. I will be back. When you schedule a Salon service, book with Nicole!

I love their stylist Julz! She is very knowledgeable and sweet. I went in there with an issue from another salon and she was very honest, even telling me why she did not prefer the cut that I had chosen. With her being that bold with me up front I knew that she was going to be completely honest with me. After fixing the horror that was my hair cut she then created a beautiful custom hair color that I have gotten tons of complements on. So thank you Julz! Even though I have other Ulta stores that are much more convenient for me I plan to continue to see her on a regular basis!
A bit pricey but have several different brands of makeup from Revlon to bare minerals to choose from, although if youre looking for MAC this isnt the place to visit in person they dont carry it in stores. Associates are friendly have several different cosmologists

We like this Ulta location. Sometimes it seems like the front make up area has been raided, because it is out of a lot of items.
I live for the sales are Ulta. I was able to get two Morphe pallettes last year for $15 and $12 and the mordern renaissance pallette for $29. So far this year I’ve been able to score two abh brow wiz in the 2/30 sale.

I recently went in with my mother to look for some new foundation since the one I had didn’t end up matching me (common problem). As we were looking around, a woman named Bethany I believe, came up to us and asked me if I needed help. I told her what I was looking for in a foundation and my common problem. She was very enthusiastic about a product and walked me over to a table where they do makeup and such. I wasn’t expecting to be sat in a chair but I didn’t hate it either. She actually started a skin care routine with face cleanser, moisturizer, etc. then showed me a foundation with another woman I can’t remember her name at the moment. I ended up being intetested into wanting to learn about a better skin care routine and products instead and Bethany was happy to help. She recommended Clinique toner water I believe (it’s a large green bottle), a gentle cleanser and the 4-1 cloud moisturizer by Pür and honestly I am SO happy I got all of this instead. It’s only been a week and I use these products once in the morning and once at night. My skin has improved so much already and it’s the first time in forever that my skin has been this clear and soft. The Pür moisturizer is my absolute favorite. Bethany had been wonderful to talk to and she invited me back to play with makeup when I come back in a couple months. I’m getting married in June of next year and i really want my skin to look it’s best and I think I’m on the right track thanks to Bethany! Best experience I’ve had. Thank you so much! 💙

I visit this location because its right across the street. Each time, upon entering, i almost know that i am making a mistake.i know that the staff cannot control what is in their inventory. EVERY time I go to re-up on my FEW products, they are out of the pencil color, the BB cream color, also, why is it so hard to find dark brown mascara??Last time, I was told I could order the item at checkout for delivery. I was not informed that i could not pay cash. So CANCEL THAT. So, the solution was to come back the following Thursday, as thats when the chick said theyd receive restock. So, I WAITED for Thursday instead of ordering online or going to another location. Guess what, I went back thursday to get the item i was told would be restocked, only to find an EMPTY shelf. Still.I am super low maintenance, and it just SUCKS that everytime (not an exaggeration) theyre out of the 2 or 3 things I go for.

Had a bad experience with exchanging a product in Lawrence. Long story short, I bought a product in the wrong color at a discounted price. I went to the Ulta in Lawrence to exchange it and was then upcharged for the exchange at full price. I returned to this store in Olathe to completely return the Product and get my money back and was helped by the manager. I believe her name is Nicole?? I told her I wanted the product but I felt I shouldn’t have been charged full price for the exchange when I previously had purchased it at a discounted price. Nicole apologized and refunded the upcharge.... so now I have the correct color at the discounted price. She even made me a “goodie bag” with samples, shot me a huge smile, and thanked me for coming back. Disappointing experience in Lawrence turned into a great experience at the Olathe location. Will definitely be shopping here from now on.

Worst Ulta to go to! Employees are rude and not helpful. I tried to find someone to help me for 15 minutes and NOTHING! They werent even busy! I purchased the Superhero mascara and it is GARBAGE and extremely overpriced! It is SO clumpy!!! I will go back to my cheap Cover Girl mascara it is about a 3rd of the price and I have more than 5 lashes when it is applied! If I could do zero stars that is what I would have given them.
