My brother recommended American Tire to me years ago and I can see why. They are friendly, knowledgeable and honest. They have consistently done outstanding work! Heck, even if move out of state, I would still go to them for car repairs or maintenance!

They are awesome all I can say and reasonable prices with great quality of service!

Took my car on time friendly staff good service fair price

I called them asked them if they have my tires in stock which they did . I also asked them if they have time to do it today, the gentleman told me yes to bring my car in so i headed straight there. He told me my car wont be ready until about 6pm . 5:50 i call and he told me i will have to come in the morning th next morning so i told him i cant leave my car i have work the next morning. So he called me back and my car was being worked on as he called me. I paid over the phone and picked my car up. Great experience. Got new tires that day and i was happy.

Very disappointed. have used them several times before and was very satisfied. On this occasion I asked the tech at the counter what the difference was between the tires I currently had and the ones they were offering me and I was floored by the response theyre the same size are you kidding me. no information on the tires specs just that they are the same size. I expect that from Walmart. then if that wasnt bad enough I paid for 2 tires but they only installed 1. Im glad I did a full walk-around before I left. What happened to this place?

I came in unexpectedly with a flat tire at 3pm. I was told by another Acura dealer that I would have to wait til tomorrow while I was being towed. The AAA driver told me about this place. They told me to come right in and they would help me. I am a customer for life. Thank American Tires. My heros

I went to American tire and auto for a wheel alignment for my truck. I Do most of my own work, And I am extremely particular with how I like things done. So I looked at reviews and felt pretty comfortable bringing my truck to American tire. The work they did was exceptional. They took me right in performed the work quickly with excellent results. I’ve always been met with a pleasant experience at American Tire & Auto. I’ve come in for oil changes and tire rotations and they’ve found that my brakes needed to be replaced. They always came out and tell me exactly what I need and how much time it will take. I come prepared with something to read or work on my laptop in case it runs a little over my expected time to wait (only due to additional services though). Great service and good people.

American offers exceptional service as well as very aggressive and fair pricing. Dave, the manager, is super helpful. Its a private chain with several long term employees, which is good.

I called rep ray 7am saturday morning i had a bubble in my tire asked him if he had a tire in stock he said no but had an upgraded one gave me a pric i said ok get it pls he said 2pm it will be their never heard bac from ray and left multi messages place is a joke bad business never again get it right or get out .....

I dropped my vehicle off at 10am for a new wheel hub/wheel bearing assembly. I was able to go pickup my vehicle by 12:00, considering they had to diagnose,get the part, and get my authorization for the work the two hours the vehicle was there was very reasonable. Also the guys there were professional and courteous. Definitely my go to shop after the experience I had there.

We have used American Tire in Old Bridge for years for various repairs and are always pleased with their service. This visit we arrived without an appointment to get a sizable screw removed from a leaking tire. After a short wait we were on our way with an inexpensive fix. No upscale like other businesses. We trust their mechanics and have never had a problem.

I took my car to American Tire & Auto Care for alignment after suspension repair. They did a good job, and unlike some other shops, they dont attempted to sell you anything else.

I always use this place when I have a flat or issues with my tires. Staff is great and I feel comfortable leaving my car in there care.

The mechanic did a great job on my car. I needed work done so they ordered the parts and I came back the following weekend for the install. They do good work on all types of fixes. Only issue I had was the cost, but that is everywhere.

The cold air had reduced my tire pressure. All the tires were low and the tire lights on. I pulled in willing to pay to have them put air and set the pressure to spec. They offered to help me out at no charge. The technician Jay gladly got right to it. Set all the tires perfectly and I left. This is a well managed store. Always busy. I can see why. Excellent staff and service.

Needed a tire patched up, while there asked for a tire rotation which they said they would do as they were patching up the tire. Car came back, I looked at the receipt and tire rotation wasn’t on there. Inquired about that and the person at the front counter didn’t tell them to do that even though he told me it would be done. They had to take the car back in for an additional half hour.

I drove in with emergency blowout. Was told that once they got to it it would take five minutes. And proceeded to wait over an hour and a half to change one tire. The shop was not busy and they could have pulled one guy off of the one project they were doing for 5 minutes to change one tire. Or advise me that it was gonna take a little over an hour and a half so I could go back to work and come back later. Neither was done and I missed two hours of work. Very frustrated in the whole process.

Helped me see more damage i had on my tire. They were capable to fix the damage but told me due to other damages i would run into the tiring possibly popping on me. So i just bought a brand new tire and they balanced all the air in all my tires. Overall very nice people that are willing to help

After my old shop changed owners a few years back, I began looking for a new place to take my car. Ive had some decent service elsewhere, but there was always something off (too expensive, too shady, etc.). Finally, I came across reviews for American Tire & Auto Care - they were almost unanimously great. So I took my car in last week.. She needed full brake repair, an oil change, and a safety check to make sure nothing was missed. They were quick, did a GREAT job and, best of all, almost half the price of the last place I went to for a similar job. I dealt with Dave and he was very friendly and professional.American Tire & Auto Care has a new customer and I highly recommend them if you are looking for a new and/or better place in the area to take care of your car.

I went for a check engine light. They diagnosed the issue for me on Saturday and I brought my car. in during the week. They had it done by the end of the day. I am a regular customer. They are always friendly and helpful and do a great job.

Rep refused to plug my tires because the holes in my tiles were on the shoulders of the tires. They tried holding me ransom for 500 bucks when the shop down the road easily agreed to my tires up

Moved to old bridge last year and have always gone here for oil change or tires. The guys are always nice and helpful. I drop my car off and have it back in a few hours. They even offer a $15 off coupon for oil changes. Wouldn’t trust anyone else.

Sloppy and unprofessional. Damaged one of my wheels, arrogant in response.Came to these guys for a simple job- mount and balance four new tires. One of my wheels was damaged in the process. How did I know the damage was incurred at their shop? I took pictures of all four wheels in their parking lot immediately prior to the service. Dave Munoz, the manager/mechanic responsible, was arrogant and unprofessional in his response, saying “it’s not like it’s a Lamborghini”. They’ve admitted responsibility but have still not compensated me for the damage, which is equivalent to the RETAIL cost to fix the wheel. (Retail would be the amount it would cost you or me to fix the damage, not their wholesale cost though their vendor. Whether I want to go with their vendor or not is my choice, they are still responsible for the value of the damage). Over a month later, I’ve still not received payment and they have stopped replying to my communications. Pursuing next steps.By the way, attached is a pic of tire pressures immediately following installation at American Tire. For reference, proper levels are 35PSI front / 41PSI rear. Talk about sloppy and haphazard. So not only did they damage my wheel but they also cant seem to inflate tires properly.

American tire is the best and only place I will bring any of my cars! They are professional, trustworthy and knowledgeable about all makes and models of cars and trucks. Mavis wanted to charge me $900 for a problem that didnt exist. ATAC identified a minor issue and for a tenth of the price. Thank you ATAC!!
