Nice locally owned hardware that caters to locals as well as summer campers and beach goers. Very helpful staff.

I like small neighborhood hardware stores. It is easy to find assistance if needed. You dont have to walk a mile and a half around a huge box store to find what you need.The prices are slightly higher but Im willing to pay more for the convenience and personalized service. I was able to find what I needed and it took a fraction of the time it would have in a box store.

Very poor attitude from the owner, Ron. Everything is an inconvenience to him. If you need supplies go to robillards garden center down the road. Much friendlier and helpful.

Good old fashioned service

The man at front desk was aloof when I asked him a question. When I asked clarifying questions, he seemed to get impatient and communicated in a disrespectful manner including the use of facial gestures.Ace Hardware is only 2 miles further from my home, so I will patron that store instead. His demeanor was similar to another unfavorable review below.I can understand having a bad day once in a while; however, I’ve seen this behavior from him before but never said anything.

Hansons hardware is in Old Orchard Beach right near the center of town and convenient to residents and tradesmen like me working in the area. They carry a little bit of everything and the guys there are helpful and really knowledgeable when it comes to getting a job done. I stop in often when we are working in the area.

Great place with very friendly knowledgeable service. Bethany are you sure about this? I shop there almost every day and know all the workers. They are very respectable and dont see them that way. I have alot of female customers and they have more tools then me and I look 2 them for advise.

Our washer is not working. Ive dealt with this issue before, and I need to take the front panel off. I couldnt find the nut driver I needed in the size I needed so I went down to this store.I walk in and head towards the big signs that says Tools, because there are like five aisles in the store I assume what Im looking for is going to be over there. The men at the front say good morning and ask me if I know what Im looking for. I said good morning back and said yes and headed towards my aisle.One of them says, oh she knows where shes going she doesnt know what shes doing.I find what Im looking for and come up front and ask the man who said I didnt know what I was doing? He stammered, said no one said that. So I asked again, he puffs out a bit more and said well I didnt say that and turns to the other man and asks if he said such a thing, and the guys laughs and says you sure did. Then the first man asks me if I knew what I had wasnt a screwdriver. Im well aware at what I am buying is NOT a screwdriver. He asked me what Im doing and I told him I need to take off the front panel of the washer and clear a clog. The second man asks, all by yourself? Well, good for you.Im not really sure what provoked this kind of rudeness, I can only assume its because I am a woman and cannot comprehend how to work tools. Next time, Ill drive to a big box store where Im treated like a competent human being and skip shopping local. This was on April 4th at 8 AM.

Its nice to have a home town hardware store, when you dont want to run to lowes and get lost in their store. Theyve always had what I needed.
