Clean place, cute place, extremely polite and attentive staff. Delicious food at very fair prices. I definitely recommend this Diner, at least for breakfast.

I really like the diner feel and this place has that vibe. We came in and looked at the extensive menu. I had a turkey avacado Panini and my daughter had the fried chicken. We both enjoyed our meals but too much food to eat it all. We had leftovers. Had great service. Great time. Plus they a nice dessert selection. Only if we had the room.Came in and it wasnt super busy but we like the meals. I felt like breakfast. Love breakfast for dinner. My man got a open faced sandwich. Meal was great. When we were about to leave a man and his wife came by and gave us money to buy dessert. How truly thoughtful. Makes you have hope in humanity again. Just made our night. Thanks so much! We will pay it forward

Paleo dinners and Broccoli Rabe were excellent. Easy online takeout order, quick and friendly service. Special requests were perfect.

Coffee comes with breakfast.We didnt order so were offered small orange juice instead.Ive been a server for over 40 years.Coffee really adds to your ticket.Best of all our food was great.Eggs Florentine. The potatoes were perfectly crisp without requesting.I never bother writing reviews unless 5 🌟.

I love diner food. Good diner food. I especially love breakfast for dinner or for whenever. Thats why I love diner food. I was using the map to search out some place to eat after my doctors appointment and had a number of choices, until I saw the Parthenon. Could not pass that up and I loved it. The people running these places are always wonderful and this place was no different. The food was good simple hearty diner food. I had breakfast for breakfast and followed it up with lunch for lunch. I got the Hungry Man plate with eggs and meat etc., Wonderful. Then I got New England mac and cheese which was a lunch special --- Outstanding! And of course one cannot skip dessert so I had a waffle ala mode. Imagine melty vanilla ice cream with whipped cream on a fresh, hot Belgian waffle. I was in Heaven. To top it off, my wonderful waitress kept my iced tea glass filled the whole time I was there. I love diner food and the Parthenon is a really good diner.

I come here all the time with many friends and they deal with our large party with patience every time, I appreciate the staff here. The menu offerings here are vast, I usually get breakfast here when I’m dining in the evening. I enjoyed the short rib hash and eggs recently which was a tasty addition. The food quality here is pretty good, I understand it’s nothing exceptional given the massive inventory they need to cook the hundreds of dishes they seem to have.

Quality of this food is better than most dinners. They have dinner specials which include desert. The dinner sizes for the specials are very large. I had the fishermans baked stuffed platter and everything was very good with a slight exception of the stuffed sole which was a bit overcooked for a fish filet. The stuffing was really much above average... very good! Good service also.

I love this diner. Me and my dad used to come here a long time ago when we were working, broke and were living in a motel. The people here treated us great the food was really good and we enjoyed the jukebox’s they used to have. We would look forward to going here all the time.Now I go here with my 2 year old and he is very energetic. He likes the big windows and crayons. It is hard to bring him places but not here.Everyone is really welcoming nice and tolerant. My son LOVES coming here.The owner himself will come over to see if everything is good.The waitstaff always are diligent and give A+ service.I recommend thier Greek dishes wow they are awesome.It’s hard not to want desert from the behind the counter. I would eat one of each of I could once a week.

Basic diner. Added berries to my French toast. Blueberries were shriveled up. Strawberries were not fresh, instead they use frozen, in-syrup type. Fresh fruit would have made all the difference.Shoulda got the eggs, I guess.

Terrible experience start to finish. Let me start by saying that I eat at restaurants multiple times a week ranging from diners to $$$$ NYC/metro area restaurants. Diners are a dime a dozen in NY and so it’s easy to spot the amazing from the “blah”; diners are a weekly staple for me. I recently moved to CT; tried this place for the first time, with a friend who also “knows” food. Menu is small; there is some variety, but less than what is typical for a standard diner. Quality of the food was poor - we started with Pot-chos (I had never tried “sidewinder” fries before; these are with a cheese sauce and bacon) - the cheese tasted like some ultra-processed product that had a curdled texture); our meal: I had an omelette with home fries and toast; my friend had a pastrami sandwich. Bacon was extremely fatty; pastrami was way too thick and flavorless; my home fries were poorly seasoned, and unbelievably dry. We weren’t asked if we wanted dessert, just given the check (without asking - while I was still eating, mind you), and upon paying the cashier, no one asked how everything was. Overall, terrible experience. I am surprised by some of the reviews, especially given the area this diner is located in….we will never go back.

Not bad at all!! Might be time for a refresh of the exterior of the restaurant bit that aside its a fantastic diner. Breakfast was 5 stars. Lunch and dinner is 3 to 4 stars. Good stuff and nice staff . Roomy seating and fast service.

Food was excellent, a bit slow on service for the amount of people in the dining room. Waitress cut me off before I could do aby add-ons or changes to my meal (just wanted to add Canadian bacon and get my bacon extra crispy)My toast was forgotten until I had just about finished my meal. When I told her dont worry about the toast she put it in front of me anyway.

Food was good, waitress was awesome. Im a rather large guy and the seating was kind of tight but it worked ok. I bet if I asked they would have moved me, but I didnt. Bigger portions than I expected, was really tasty. My son and I really enjoyed the fried Oreo sundae.

This is my family’s go to breakfast/ brunch spot. We’ve been going there for years. The western omelet and corned beef is awesome, my daughter always goes for the banana & nutella pancakes and my husband always orders the country fried steak.

There’s something so comforting about Parthenon Diner.  This is my dad’s go to breakfast spot and I understand why.  The food is delicious, the coffee always stays topped up, the waitstaff is very personable (they know my dad by name, just as a customer) and the service is on point.  No matter what time of day you go, Parthenon Diner will always make you feel at home.

Great service and very reasonably priced. Love their rice pudding, tops off a dinner.

My go to diner for breakfast usually.. its the quintessential New England diner that has a menu as big as a phone book.Now during the covid pandemic, their menu might not be as large, but the food is still incredible.Social distancing is observed, and the employees go out of their way to make your experience a pleasurable and safe one.

The wait staff was completely mortified by the fact that our fried chicken was still frozen in the center, and comped that portion of the meal unasked. The rest of the food was good enough.

Today I had my breakfast, I ordered 3 egg white veggie omelette & I got regular omelette., we respect food that’s the reason i got what I served on my table, but the other part I asked for regular water to the server who’s standing over there near coffee counter she said to me I am not your server so you can ask your server for the water . Isn’t it too unprofessional, To say this words I worked in restaurant business I never ever say this words to my consumers . These make me so upset but I respect my food I ate and then I left . Please do fix this things .

This place must be amazing, outside of covid, the food was great, homestyle. Fairly priced. Took my mother out for her birthday and the staff was great.

They have a wide variety of menu items and the food is delicious! Angie, Peter and John are so friendly, as well as the other staff. We go every saturday!

Found this diner quite by accident. It was large, bright with an extensive menuQuickly seated and served. Both had French toast with sides. DeliciousDefinitely recommended

Nice diner and nice staff, I got chocolate cake to go but it wasn’t that good unfortunately. But I would try the regular food and the other desserts looked like they would be better!

NOTE FOR TESLA OWNERS. The EV destination charger can not be used because the restaurant has now turned parking lot for outdoor dining and you can not gain access to charger.

I have been here twice. It has great atmosphere and what looks like a nice pie selection. My husband liked his salad. Both times I have taken the waiters advice on what is best...both times it was not good. The last time I had the Eggs Benedict, (which is featured on the menue). It was so bad, I threw up. The Eggs were poached well...obviously using vinegar in the water...because the untoasted english muffin was a sponge of vinegar (I realized this after checking out the remaining half after my visit to the bathroom) the hollandaise sauce was flavorless and the side of home fries arrived cold, partially cooked and flavorless. When the waiter asked how it was, I told him and He asked if I wanted something else...I did not. They took it off the bill without being asked. Many people seem to love the pplace and the pancakes...I am not willing to play plate roulette again.

Great customer service

This is our go to diner. We love the cleanliness and the food and usually the servers, but in our last three visits the service was different. Usually the service is excellent but we have had two male waiters that just seem to ignore us. One instance we ordered iced tea three times before we got it and had a hard time getting him to take our order. Yesterday we were very nicely shown to our table but after that the waiter ignored us until the host came over and asked if we had been waited on. Server waited on us but did not come back until we stood up to leave. Just seems odd... but we will try one more time.
