Moore Miles is now a second generation auto shop. The original Moore retired and his son now runs the place. The people are very friendly but also know about your car. Feel free to talk to them about any problems your may be having with your car. They are fair, you will be payying only for quality, guaranteed work, no fake add-ons.

Subaru owners know how difficult it is to find a quality shop to perform repairs, much less willing to go behind a shade tree mechanics shoddy repair. My sons 2002 Outback with 180K miles experienced a head gasket failure after a misguided attempt to save money with the aforementioned shade tree job. Justin and his staff were very informative with options from quick fix to get the car running enough to sell, to engine replacement. Justin suggested replacing the head bolts with studs, an option I hadnt considered but glad I did. The mechanic also provided pictures of worn parts and parts left off or improperly installed my the shade tree (including a motor mount). My son and I are pleased with the repair (with warranty) so much I brought in my Lexus for a brake job. Highly recommend for Subaru repairs.

If you’re looking for a trustworthy and competent shop in North MS or the Memphis area, look no further. Everyone wants a mechanic they can trust! You have found them. Not only do they do a great job but they can be trusted to fix your vehicle correctly and they will do it the most affordable way possible. This shop has recently had a management change and believe me, it’s for the better. It was always a good shop but has now been cleaned up and upgraded to be one of the best shops around. I cannot say enough about them and the people that they are. I won’t go anywhere else!

Call them with the air conditioning problem. They help me diagnose it and make a temporary repair but to get it back into the shop. Saved my vacation!!

Dustin and his staff are awesome. They will forever have my business. I took my car to them to get a front end inspection and once he was done, he told me what I needed to fix right then and what could wait. Not only did he tell me, he showed me. So after he told me what I needed that was dire, I set up an appointment with him. After he serviced my vehicle, he basically broke everything down for me to understand what was going on with my car. Dustin is very thorough. His honesty is like no other and I highly appreciate that! I can tell that he takes pride in his work and that’s why I will continue to give him my business. Trustworthy, professional, diligent and thorough!I needed to finally repair/replace an oil pan gasket that has leaked for ten years—and getting to this required dropping the drive shaft and manual transmission.#1) they offset several hours ($90/hr) for the clutch change because it was a large portion of the work getting to the oil pan gasket. I didn’t have to ask—they did the math on the initial estimate. YOU RARELY FIND THIS LEVEL OF HONESTY!!!#2) they replaced my three U-Joints at minimal labor cost—the shaft had to be dropped anyways. I mean minimal labor.#3) they called me for a transmission output seal that I was able to get to them in time—saving me the potential for a leak down the road. Zero labor due to part needing to go back in with clutch.#4) they provided a military discount which is extremely generous.I was quoted a figure to replace the oil gasket at another repair shop—and ended up getting labor for a new clutch, U-joints, seals; etc for nearly the same cost in labor. I brought my own parts—which they gladly installed but couldn’t issue a warranty. BTW—their warranty (if they provide the parts) is amazing!Trusted! They are exceptional! Jonathan gave estimate and part updates in a timely manner. Larry was always available for questions. Dustin and his wife are very kind—they are genuinely sweet people who really want to ‘earn’ your business. They want to earn your trust and friendship as well. I was highly impressed with their business and atmosphere. I will go to Moore Miles anytime I need a heavy job done!!!

Sunday night while driving cross country I got a check engine light. Monday morning I brought my truck to Moore Miles and, despite it being a Monday morning, Dustin got right on it, personally checking my vehicle. Although there was no obvious issue that could be fixed then and there (the vehicle was working properly), he correctly surmised that I might have a transmission problem. I personally decided to take the risk and continue my travels. 300 miles down the road, Dustin was proven right: a failing transmission solenoid. The guy knows his stuff.

This is an excellent mechanic shop to have ALL your car needs taken care of at. After I called 4 other auto shops, was told by each one that there was a 4 day or longer wait, would have to drop my car off & at rediclus prices, Moore Miles Automotive is the ONLY place where I was told to come right in, my car was taken care of as soon as I got there, I only had about an hour wait (just the time for him to fix car & get me on my way) at a price that actually made sense. He also did not try to upsell me on work that didnt need to be one. He told me what the problem was, told me the price & fixed the issue. As usual the fear of finding a trustworthy auto shop loomed over me as I reached out to them for dire help. After they said they can look at my vehicle and did their diagnosis of my problem I was at ease. They communicate with you every step of the way (even provide pictures) and confirm with you prior to making any repairs; but the most important part is that they get to the root of the problem and dont just provide a band-aide to your issue. These guys are great, I actually had a transmission problem with my truck, and to make a long story short, it took me close to 6 months to get the replacement transmission, they allowed my vehicle to stay on their property at no cost until I finally got the transmission, I brought it over they outdid the installation and the vehicle is fine. Very patient. Very professional. Excellent craftsmanship and highly reccommend.

Moore Miles has been around for a long time. You can not find a Moore honest person than you can with Jimmy. I have been going to him for 25 plus years and my cars have always been fixed the first time. I never have to worry about coming back because it is fixed first right the first time. I had a really good experience with Moore Miles Repair Shop. They were very professional and honest. I would highly recommend them. They went above and beyond to ensure that I was satisfied with their service. I had a bad experience with Kimble Towing who towed my truck to Moore Miles. Moore Miles called and apologized on the tow companies behalf. Very standup people that run this repair shop.

Not a fan of mechanics because I have been ripped off in the past, but these guys are great! Very kind and courteous. Clean and comfortable facilities. Pleasant service over the phone and in person. My car was making a funny whistling sound for a few days and I wasn’t able to get it looked at until today. Every shop I reached out to kept giving me the run around until I spoke with Dustin at Moore Miles. At first they weren’t able to get me in until Monday, then after explaining the situation he found a way to fit me in today. They were able to diagnose my car on the spot, realized the brakes were bad and got it resolved in less than 2 hours for an incredibly reasonable price. He was even willing to show me exactly what they were talking about, which makes me feel a lot better knowing they aren’t trying to pull a fast one. For now on this will be the place I take my car and my husbands to get them looked at for any issues. Honesty, quickness, and great customer service are rare to come by these days, let alone at an auto shop. You won’t be let down if you use them for your car issues!

My car was in bad shape, so much I didn’t know if it was a good idea to keep it, especially with the experiences I had with other auto repair shops. I decided to try one last time, and after reading the reviews online, I decided to give Moore Miles a chance to fix it. He gave me a fair price, and stuck to it. He even provided transportation from the Memphis airport, without me asking. Bottom line, I was treated great, given a very fair price, and now have a car I can trust.

I have a transmission problem/or rather a valve body problem that would be nearly 1/3 of the price for a new transmission. I called and asked if they worked on them, explained the problem, and advised what I had been told needed done. I was told over the phone I couldnt get a quote until I had them diagnos it for $100- only after picking it up did I find out they only replace the transmissions. They dont work on them. Disappointed that I wasnt told that up front. I would have looked around before spending money somewhere that couldnt do the much cheaper necessary repair

Caution. Explore more options before committing to repairs here. Went in with a crank no start known issue. Came out being told it was $1600 to repair but there is an easy financing option available (red flag).Luckily my dad taught his daughter that a good mechanic finds a problem but a great mechanic provides you multiple solutions. 1 solution with fast financing option just means they want your money. Went as far as explaining that this is a known issue with the truck but was told that expierence says its the problem as mentioned. Took my truck home, and found someone with actual expertise of the situation and got it fixed for less than $200. So much for honesty and Christian. If you dont know how to fix something or even worse, care to do more research into options dont call yourself an expert. Experts always think outside the box before presenting solutions. Never going back.

Our air conditioner stopped working in our Nissan Maxims, so my husband took it to Moore Miles Auto repair to have it fixed. My husband left the car to be evaluated, and because he was a truck driver he had to go back on the road, well we got a fair estimate on what it would take to fix the car, but unfortunately my husband ended up having a heart attack while he was in New Mexico, then the company he was driving for decided he couldnt return back to work for eight weeks even though the doctor cleared him. I called Jimmy Moore and with the grace of God he didnt charge us a fee for the amount of time we stored the vehicle there, not did he charge us to evaluate the vehicle. Mr. Moore prayed with me and gave us encouragement that everything was going to be ok, I thank him from the bottom of my heart, and will definitely have him work on our cars anytime. We live in Alabama, so that must say a lot about him and his shop that we trust him with our cars, plus hes just an outstanding gentleman.
