If I could give 0 stars I definitely would. now a lot of people who drink cognac know that there is some type of fraud going on. so yes I did purchase do a refund then purchase again but i found a different store that sells how i like so I bought there and the owner of this establishment would not give me a refund called cops and was totally out of line needless to say you definitely lost my business best of luck to this poorly run place

If there is a better owner of a liquor store in this VVS- Oneida area with better customer service, better prices or better sales associates, I havent found them! And I have been to them all. This lady is tops and has a great sense of humor. She has helped me out when rebates were available, specialty liqueurs I was looking for and always, always with a smile. As my wife is interested in trying a new flavors of wine, Anne will recommend something she thinks she may like. I have been a long time customer here and will continue to be one, because I have no reason to go somewhere else. Anyone who had a bad experience here was most likely of their own making.

Would rate it a zero if I could. The lady was extremely rude and went off on my boyfriend and I when we first entered. I witnessed her being rude to another set of ladys that where in there as well for just asking about a certain flavor liquor. When we went to cash out she was extremely rude and tried to take our bottles back after we had paid due to an expired license by a month. Even though we everyone knows the dmv is extremely slow due to the covid and my boyfriend had a perfectly good license and I am older then him. Not to mention I have purchased alcohol from two other establishments within the last 2 days with the same license with no problem and no one saying anything to me. I will not be returning again.

One of my favorite small town wine and liquor stores in the Northeast. I am more of a wine drinker and find the wine selection to be a perfect selection with all my favorites. Its also one of the better scollections of New York wines, which is perfect come holiday season for whipping up gift baskets. Easy to navigate store, fabulous location, and excellent price points for all budgets. My go-to every time Im in town! Thank you Anne and crew for all you do!

The best customer service I have ever seen in a Wine and Liquor Store. I had issues with a particular brand not being available and the owner extended his assistance with getting what I was looking for. Hands down the BEST!!!! 13 stores between Rome, Utica, New Hartford and Whitesboro refused to make any attempts. ONEIDA WINE AND LIQUORS clearly earns and deserves our business!!!!!!

The owner flipped off and swore at an extended family member today. Apparently, the said customer was attempting to be compliant with a face mask that wasnt a good fit. The owner flipped her off TWICE and swore at her.One star is too many for this store.

Went into this store with my mother and older sister so that they could buy wine as a present for my family whom we were visiting from out of state. I picked up a bottle of wine and handed it to my mother, and the man at the counter refused to sell my mother because I handed a bottle of wine to her and I was under the age of 21. He said “There’s signs on the door that say minors can’t touch the alcohol.” My mother asked if I could go outside and she could buy it and he said no. Then I asked if she could come back later without me and buy alcohol and he said no. He also said my sister could not buy alcohol from the store even though I did not hand her a single thing. He tried to tell us that this is a rule in New York. Never before has my mother been denied from buying from a liquor store when I was in it with her AND TOUCHED A BOTTLE.For the record, I am 20 years old, and therefore it is not illegal for me to handle alcohol in the state of New York. I can legally serve and possess alcohol as long as I am not consuming it. To go even further, with a parent or guardian’s supervision in the state of NY, someone over the age of 18 can consume alcohol. This “rule” that this store has about minors touching alcohol is a made up rule. I understand why this rule may be in place if a 21 year old is coming into the store with someone who looks younger, but I was with my mother. That’s just ridiculous.Please feel free to respond like you have with so many other reviews and explain why you have this rule and why my mother is not allowed to come back into your store to purchase alcohol even without me present. Thanks.
